You will need 12 months of transfers that are at least 40k baht from abroad. There is no requirement to keep any minimum amount in the account.

Visa exempt to Non O ( marraige )
ubonjoe replied to HashBrownHarry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can apply for a non-o visa and then during the last 30 days of the 90 stay the non-o allows you could then apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage at immigration. -
90 Day reporting after renewing annual visa
ubonjoe replied to azt219's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can do it up to your report date. You can do it today without a problem. -
The only thing you need to do is complete a form to enter Chaeng Wattana. I received info about it by PM from a reliable source. This is the form they will give you to complete.

What VISA should I apply for?
ubonjoe replied to npmSteven's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you are only want to stay for 6 months a STV (special tourist visa) might be the best option. It allows a 90 day stay when you arrive and then you can apply for two 90 day extensions. General info is here. https://london.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/special-tourist-visa-stv?page=5d6636cd15e39c3bd00072dd&menu=5f4b6eb3f6ae4b236972c562 -
Thai o visa 60 day not posted anymore
ubonjoe replied to supersomchai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A visa is not tied to your arrival date. Your visa is valid for 3 months to use for entry from the day it issued. -
90 Day Reporting Question
ubonjoe replied to Smithson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A 90 day report is not done to prove your address after you move. You existing 90 day report date remains the same. I assume you have already changed your address since you were able to apply for a extension. You can have somebody do the 90 day report for you. The will need a completed TM47 form signed by you and your passport. I am not aware of the office at Muang Thong Thani doing the same checks as is being done at Chaeng Wattana. At CW you just need to complete a form according to recent info I have received. -
90 Day Reporting Question
ubonjoe replied to Smithson's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Applying for a new extension of stay does not change your 90 day reporting date. Only the first extension of stay sets the 90 day reporting date. You apparently got a under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days from when you applied for a extension. -
I suspect they will not ask for the covid 19 insurance. Not a immigration website but the TGIA website states this. "Renewal (before Sep,1 2022) The applicant must have the valid local health insurance policy with the minimum of coverage of 400,000 Baht for inpatient treatment and 40,000 Baht for outpatient treatment." You do not have to be in the country during the 2 months that the 400k baht has to be in the bank. You can get as many single entry re-entry permits as you want to.

Immigration will certainly not do a affidavit to certify a birth certificate. I suspect immigration want the birth certificate legalized by a UK authority. This is the procedure that can be found on the UK embassy website. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/714089/Legalisation_info_June_2018.pdf

Delayed eVisa - change entry stamp at immigration?

I am sure those were case where somebody entered the country but arrival immigration did not notice they had a valid visa and gave them a visa exempt entry or stamped the wrong date on the arrival stamp. -
O/a conversion to o visa
ubonjoe replied to Alotoftravel's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The only way to end the entry from a OA visa is to leave and re-enter the country with a non-o visa or visa exempt entry to apply for the non-o visa at immigration. Letting your extension expire and then get a 60 day covid 19 extension would not end your OA visa entry since you would still be extending it. -
