  1. I don't think they normally ask to see the marriage certificate when doing a affidavit stating it is true, correct and valid. Best thow to have it with you incase the officer wants to see it.
  2. It is normally done the the same day the application is submitted. Even overnight would be very rare. That is standard line that agents tell people. No The site for them has been down since June.
  3. You would not only be overstaying since you would also not have a valid passport that is required. The over 90 days is only for leaving the country and not being banned from entering the country. Only immigration can answer that since you will have a expired passport.
  4. I assumed you had applied for your new passport much longer before your old one was expiring. You may have to try and get a emergency passport at the UK embassy. Immigration will not do a extension in a expired passport.
  5. A recent report stated it took 7 weeks to get his new one. The website for applications is now stating 11 weeks. You could use your old passport to apply for a extension. It is still valid to use to apply for a extension.
  6. The passport application page for here now states 11 weeks. Source: https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult
  7. It also states 2 months with the 60 days in parenthesis. This is what it states in clause 2.18 of immigration order 327/2557. When I write rules that is what I am referring to not something a local office made up. "(6) In the case of marriage to a Thai woman, the alien husband must earn an average annual income of no less than Baht 40,000 per month or must have no less than Baht 400,000 in a bank account in Thailand for the past two months to cover expenses for one year."
  8. They give your old passport back to you when you apply for a new passport at VFS. That is one of the reasons you cannot do a online passport application.
  9. That does not prohibit somebody from still having both nationalities. It means you cannot use your other nationality while in the country. That has been discussed many times previously in this topic.
  10. They will not accept you application for the extension of stay if the 800k baht is not in the bank for 2 months. You can do it on the day it has been in the bank for 2 months. You will need a letter from the bank confirming your account and the balance on the day it is written. They will accept one done the day before you apply. You will need to have your bank book updated on that day.
  11. I just checked on the my Samsung using Chrome and do not have the problem. Try selecting the desktop version under settings when you have the site open. That reduced the font size significantly.
  12. If there was a problem your payments would not be suspended until February next year. Before that you would of get 2nd notice for the report this month or next and then a letter in December or January about it.
  13. I failed to put without in my post that is now corrected. Nobody had their SSA payments suspended for not doing a report.
  14. Have you registered your child's birth at the consulate in New York City? That cannot be done here in the country.
  15. I suggest you do a police report for a lost or stolen passport. If you tell the police the problem they may try and contact the agent for you. If lost or stolen your embassy should be able to issue a emergency passport. Then you could have your current entry or extension of stay if you have one reinstated by immigration. They cannot reinstate a visa issued by embassy or consulate. After that you could apply for a 60 day covid 19 extension.
  16. It takes about 15 days to get a the non-o visa application approved. The 90 days from the non-o visa will start from the day you applied for it. Then during the last 30 day of the 90 day permit to stay from the visa you can apply for the one year extension. The extension will start from the end of the 90 days.
  17. There is no such requirement in the Nationality act. They cannot request proof for something that is not required.
  18. I am aware of many people that did nothing last year without having a problem. No 2nd notices were sent. No But it is assumed they are simply carrying it over to this year. They certainly have not mailed any this year yet. I am not aware of anybody that has gotten one. Already more than 3 months later than I normally would get one.
  19. I recently applied for my 14th extension of stay based upon marriage. There is no way I would change to retirement unless I had to. I use the 40k baht income option. No need to keep any money in the bank.
  20. The non-o visa issued has been possible for many years. Requirements are here. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf The 45 day visa exempt entry will will eventually go back to 30 days. You can apply for a 30 day extension of it and then apply for the non-o visa. You will need to show a onward ticket to the airline with 45 or 30 days. It can be a one way ticket to anywhere.
  21. The embassy in London has not issued multiple entry non-o visa for over 2 years now. They stopped issuing them when they started using the e visa website.
  22. That is requirement to apply for non-o visa for retirement that started when they started allowing entry to the country for retirement last year. It is the same insurance required for a OA visa for retirment. The $100,000 covid 19 insurance is required for all entries to the country. In the case of a non-o visa it only needs to valid for 90 days since that is the length of stay allowed when you enter the country. You can enter visa exempt to get a 45 day (normal is 30 days) visa exempt entry at this time and then apply for a non-o visa at and extension of stay based upon retirement without needing the 40/400k baht medical insurance.
  23. It is a requirement for her to be with you to help confirm this line in the immigration order. "(3) In the case of spouse, the relationship must be de jure and de facto" She also has to sign a statement that she completes in front of a immigration officer.
