So, I did something stupid...
ubonjoe replied to longway's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There will be no penalty when leaving the country other than the 500 baht per day fine. Only if you were caught with the overstay would there be a problem. -
Metv…confusion on last date of entry?
ubonjoe replied to sureno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your visa will show the last day you can use your visa. That would be 6 months for the day it is issued which is what you show in your post. You could get another 60 day entry from your visa on the day it expires and extend that for 30 days. -
I did not report it to USPS in 2019. I got busy and forgot to keep checking tracking. The last update on it when I checked showed it out for delivery. I checked it after getting the 2nd notice and it showed delivery on September 10th.

Complete nonsense from that agent. You apply and pick up your passport the next day at Chonburi immigration. -
Entry requirements August, 2022
ubonjoe replied to RickFarang's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The 20k baht or the equivalent of it in another currency is still required but is seldom asked for unless they are looking for a reason for denial entry. Have a look at this 2 page topic about it. -
You will clear departure immigration at the bridge. After that you would take the bus (they sell the tickets before immigration) to the Lao side of the bridge and clear Lao immigration. You will need a Lao visa on arrival that costs $40 before clearing Lao immigration. You can also apply for a visa for Laos online. https://laoevisa.gov.la/index

No I don't mean that. When they get a lot of mail for PO box 7162 they do not scan the postal label until they are ready to process it. That is my conclusion after it took almost 3 months for them to show it received in 2019.

Requirements for a Visa on arrival
ubonjoe replied to connda's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not sure where you got that list. Australia is not on the list for visas on arrival. See: List of countries for visa exempt and visas on arrival dated October 2021. -
Entry period multiple entry visa from London
ubonjoe replied to HTC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A 90 day report of staying longer than 90 days has nothing to do with your length of stay in country. It is not a extension of any kind. -
Entry period multiple entry visa from London
ubonjoe replied to HTC's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You have to leave and re-enter the country every 90 days. The visa if valid for one year from the date of issue. It think they are referring to a total stay of one year not that you can stay for one year. -
Using same pics for marriage extension again?
ubonjoe replied to sanook 1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes and Yes for every extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage to a Thai. -
A appointment is not mandatory to apply for the 60 day extension at the local immigration office for where you are staying. Your wife will need to be with you when you apply for the extension. You will need copies of your passport photo page, visa and arrival stamp. Also a copy of your TM6 arrival card if you got one when you arrived. Your marriage certificate and copy of it will be needed. Copies of you wife's house book registry and ID card.
-
You extension application will be equal to doing a 90 day report. Your first 90 day report after that will be 90 days from the day you apply for the extension.

Most what you mentioned is not required to apply for a non-o visa at immigration. List of requirements is here for one based upon retirement. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
