  1. You will be given a date to return for the visa to be stamped in your passport. Most offices post date the visa stamp to the day you applied and start your 90 day stay.
  2. I have removed the duplicate of your post due to a system error.
  3. It is not unusual for it take longer than a couple of working days to get the approval. Some offices take almost 5 days,
  4. The 15 days requirement is needed for all non immigrant visa applications at immigration. It is needed to allow time for your visa application to be approved at the division level of immigration. You must of applied for your previous non-b before the new rules went into effect a few years ago,
  5. Because at most border crossing the immigration officers are much less likely to deny entry. And it is very difficult for them to deny entry and send you back to the other country you were in.
  6. You could use a copy of your updated bank book done just before you leave Thailand and have your bank book with you if they want to see it.
  7. The extension for volunteer work restriction only applies to those that got one in 2020 and after that did not require all the normal supporting documents needed for it.
  8. Yes if you qualify for a extension of stay. Upon what basis would be applying for the non-o visa and extension?
  9. No need for a appointment. No need for a onward ticket or proof of a hotel reservation. Bank statement showing at least 20k baht in the account for the person doing the application.
  10. Better than reports done in the past. Another advantage is you can do it overland. Fly to Udon Thani and then a van to the bridge in Nong Khai.
  11. It is now $40 US for most nationalities including those from the UK. You can pay in baht but the amount will vary. I have heard of it costing 1500 to 2000 baht.
  12. I think you may need to catch up on the news. Thailand has already made some moves to recognize same sex marriages. He may be able to register his "civil partnership" at a Amphoe that would be needed to apply for a extension at immigration. It might even be possible now or soon to apply for a non-o visa based upon the civil partnership at a embassy or consulate
  13. There is no debate now since immigration issued a new regulation in June of 2020 for TM30 reporting. A new TM30 is not required when entering the country with a re-entry permit or a multiple entry visa. Only if you enter with a new visa or visa exempt is one needed. The same regulation states that a new one is not required when traveling within the country.
  14. It is not a required field to submit the TM30 report now. They fixed it fairly quickly after immigration stopped doing the TM6 since many hotels use the online system.
  15. The TM6 number is no longer a required field for a TM30 report.
  16. A Kor Ror 22 does not have to updated on the day you apply. A week or so will be accepted.
  17. That went away several years ago. The only exemption is for those working with a work permit and Thais now. Info is on the webpage I posted a link for in my previous post.
  18. You need to print out the e visa you received by email from the consulate to show immigration. Be sure to keep a copy of it in case the email goes away for some unknown reason.
  19. You will only need your passport with the valid non-o visa in it. They will likely not ask to see the 20k baht and certainly not a copy of your rental agreement. After October 1st their is no covid 19 restrictions. It is hard to predict what the bank may want since it can vary from bank to bank. Some may want a certificate of residency that you can get at your local immigration office.
  20. If leaving from either airport in Bangkok you will not be fined for one day of overstay.
  21. If your Thai wife imports the goods it can be duty free. See: http://www.customs.go.th/cont_strc_simple.php?ini_content=individual_F01_160426_01&ini_menu=menu_individual_submenu_02&lang=en&left_menu=menu_individual_submenu_02_160421_01
  22. Not visa or extension related. Moved to the Thailand Motor forum.
  23. For a extension of stay based upon marriage the 400k baht needs to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply. You can apply for the extension up to 30 days early for 45 days at some offices. I have seen not seen list for that immigration office. Here is my general list of required documents and etc. Marriage Extension Requirements 2.pdf
