  1. You go directly to the Lao arrival immigration desk. Some crossings have dedicated e visa departure desks.
  2. Yes There has been news articles about it. Here is one posted today that mentions it.https://aseannow.com/topic/1272873-how-will-life-in-thailand-change-when-the-covid-state-of-emergency-ends-this-month/
  3. No vaccination certificate or a covid test is required from October 1st is required to enter Thailand.
  4. False Read this from the immigration website. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  5. To use both passports they have to be issued by the same country. If you entered the country with the passport you used to enter the country where you apply for the non-o visa that could be done. There is no requirement for you to use a passport from the same country that you used when you registered your marriage to apply for a non-o visa or extension of stay based upon marriage.
  6. You will need proof of being fully vaccinated or a covid 19 test within 48 hours to enter Laos as of today.
  7. If you have proof you changed your name and have the proof translated to Thai and certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA it should be accepted. You also may be able to the have your name changed on the Kor Ror 2 marriage registry at a Amphoe.
  8. On or after October 1st there will be no requirements to prove you are fully vaccinated or a covid 19 test to enter the country.
  9. It has been 2 months since March of 2019 and it was 3 months before that. Before there was a allowance for the first extension lowering it to 60 days.
  10. After the 30th you will be on a overstay and on the 5th it will be 5 day at 500 baht a day. Some offices have a allowed a person to apply for the extension with a short overstay when they were short on the required 2 months. I suggest you go to immigration again and ask if the will let you apply with a overstay. You might be able to find an agent that has contacts with immigration where are applying and arrange it for not a lot of money.
  11. The security check comes up when you use the search function on the forum that is at the top of this page. It can also come up when logging into the forum. If your IP address is flagged it it can deny access to the site.
  12. This from FAQ's on the Thai Elite site. Source: https://www.thailandelite.com/faq/
  13. Just ignore the 90 day reporting notice from the online site. Other have gotten the notice after entering the country. You next report is due 90 days from the day you entered the country. Change your arrival date on the online report site when you do it.
  14. You really don't need a agent. Do you have a Thai bank account with 800k baht in it. Requirements for the non-o visa are here. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  15. I am certain that will not work. When you leave Thailand you will use your UK passport to get a departure stamp. The on the Lao side they will look for the Thai departure stamp and stamp you into Laos with the UK passport. When you leave Laos you will get a departure stamp in your UK passport. Then Thai immigration will look for the Laos departure stamp and that will be in your UK passport.
  16. A return or onward ticket is not required if a person has a valid visa it is only needed for a visa exempt or for a visa on arrival.
  17. You will apply for a Lao visa on arrival a the entry point for Laos.Fee is about $40. You can also apply for it online. See: https://laoevisa.gov.la/index
  18. Yes But you will take a bus across the bridge to Vientiane and back again.
  19. It means you used a re-entry permit for a non immigrant visa extension of of stay.
  20. They don't stamp your re-entry permit when you enter the country unless it is single re-entry permit and they would of stamped it as used. If you didn't have a re-entry permit you would of lost your extension of stay and they would of stamped you into the country as visa exempt.
  21. The re-entry permit desk is in immigration zone 2. If going through fast track in zone 1 you can tell immigration you need a re-entry permit and they will direct you to the re-entry permit desk.
  22. Only single entry non-o visas that allow one 90 day entry for medical care. After entering the country you can only get 90 day extensions of stay.
  23. The appointment page does not mention doing them in person. You could contact the embassy to confirm. See: https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/acsappointment/
