  1. I think I would get one within 30 days since the airline might not be aware of the 45 day entries change.
  2. No You could get a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) that will allow unlimited 60 day entries for 6 months. Each entry can be extended for 30 days. You could leave and re-enter the country just before the visa expires and get another 60 day entry that can be extended for 30 days.
  3. 1. It does not matter when you can cancel your extension. On the day it is canceled you have to leave the country. Get the letter a week or so before you plan on leavening and ask for it dated for the date you are leavening or after so that immigration will date the cancelation on the day your leave or after. 2. Immigration will not know about that so it is not a issue.
  4. He could print out the basic vaccination certificate from the Mor Phrom app that is in Thai and english that would be accepted for entry to Laos. He could also request a international certificate on the Mor Phrom app if there is time for it to be done and sent by email to him.
  5. Not sure about it now since there has not been many recent reports about it.
  6. If you are just making the trip for a border hop Cambodia would be a better choice in my opinion.
  7. Did you enter with a tourist visa that allows a 60 day stay in the country? Or a 30 day visa exempt entry that can be extended for 30 days. Your plan should work if you are staying out of the country for at least 2 weeks or more.
  8. You should cancel your extension before leaving the country to avoid possible problems later. You will need a letter from the school stating the day your studies end to do the cancelation. Immigration will post date the cancelation if you go before the day on the letter to give you time to leave the country.
  9. They do issue the non-o for retirement but does not show it until you register and start the e visa application. Requirements are here on the embassy website. https://thaiembdc.org/2020/11/17/nonoretirement/ Nearby embassies and consulates do not use the e visa site. Most will issue a non-o visa for retirement. You can also enter visa exempt and apply for the non-o visa for retirement at immigration.
  10. They will accept a rental agreement in you partners name. They need to write a short statement that you are living with them with a signed copy to their ID card attached. The will probably want a TM30 report be done by your partner as the possessor of the residence being reported. A residence certificate will not be needed and would require the same supporting documents as the visa/extension.
  11. Dit the 2000 baht price include the visa for Cambodia a ATK test and etc. You also have to remember that the cost of fuel for the vans has gone up. You cannot really compare a few years ago with today. I am not promoting that company just providing info for people.
  12. In person, online or by mail report all have a 90 day report back date on them. Most offices start the 90 days from the day you do the report. A few might start the 90 days from the the day the current 90 days end.
  13. When entering visa exempt a person goes to the normal arrival immigration desks. Immigration seldom ask for proof of accommodations or the 20k baht in cash. The airline will be the most likely to want to see a ticket out of the country within 30 days. Proof of vaccinations or a covid test will not be required after October 1st.
  14. You can apply for a 30 day extension of a visa exempt entry done at a border crossing.
  15. Immigration did not use the address info you put on the TM6. They used the address you put on the TM7 extension application form. The can check to see if you have used that address before. Whether you need a TM30 form submitted or not can depend upon the immigration office where you apply. If you own your condo you could complete the TM30 form and submit it.
  16. You can enter a new passport number and submit the report. I used the autocomplete option and then only changed the passport number and it was approved.
  17. Where are you staying now? Doing the border hop to Malaysian may not be your best choice.
  18. 1. About a week after submitting the application online. 2. Yes and will be for 30 for. 3. A TM30 is a a report your arrival at a residence. If staying a hotel and etc they will do it online. Ask them for a screen shot of it to show immigration.
  19. You apparently entered visa exempt and got a 30 day entry (the 45 day entries start on 1 Oct.). You can apply for a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry. A visa on arrival is only for 15 days after paying a 2000 baht fee for ii and is only available for those from a few countries. You only need proof the 800k baht came from abroad to apply for a non-o visa at immigration. It does not have to come from you home country. No need to return to Laos to get the non-o visa. See:https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf Then during the last 30 days of the 90 day entry the non-o visa allows you can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement. The 800k baht will then need to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply for the extension. Wise will be OK to bring your funds into the country. It will be shown as a transfer from if abroad if you select it is for immigration and a long stay visa on the reason for the transfer drop down menu (not sure what the exact wording for it is).
  20. You can do the 90 day report online after getting a new passport. No need to register again.
  21. Here is one for Pattaya mentioned in a recent topic. https://visa-run.com/en/
  22. You will not need the TM6 arrival card to apply for the extension.
