Entering Thailand on Visa Exemption
ubonjoe replied to BillStrangeOgre's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The problem is getting the airline to accepts a bus or train ticket. Immigration would accept one or a embassy when applying for a visa. Do a search for onward ticket and you will find websites that offer a temporary ticket for about $15. -

I think the 10 days is to allow them the time to process and approve your application. That is why I wrote arrival at the embassy. -

Before the day you expect to submit the visa application at the embassy in Singapore. -
Entering Thailand on Visa Exemption
ubonjoe replied to BillStrangeOgre's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The airline can ask for a onward ticket within 30 days of arrival. Immigration seldom ask for one. -
Thai post tracking does not always show all of the USPS tracking info. This is a good site to use for the tracking. It will show both of them. https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/ I amalso getting emails from USPS tracking. You can set it up after you track it the first time. Link: https://www.usps.com/

Visa application form
ubonjoe replied to longngo217's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Duration of stay is not really that important. I would put the length of stay the non-b visa allows. -
Visa application form
ubonjoe replied to longngo217's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I suggest you look at this list for required documents to apply for the non-b visa. https://hochiminh.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/non-immigrant-b-to-work-in-thailand?page=5d80ab3315e39c2fe800a791&menu=5d80ab3215e39c2fe800a722 1. You have to have a employer to do the application. What kind of work will you be doing. 2. The visa will allow a 90 day stay in the country. 3. The one you will have after you get the visa. -
Not sure where mine is at. Sent from here on the 18th by registered airmail and it was at Suvarnabhumi on the 20th. USPS just updates it once a day and it says the same thing. Got a update email this morning at 5:48 (that is the evening of the 4th on the east coast).

Certificate of residence in Chaeng Wattana
ubonjoe replied to motyduke's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He apparently applied for a extension based upon marriage to or the parent of a Thai. Those extensions have to approved at the division level of immigration. That is why he has a 30 day under consideration stamp. -
non o for filipino spouse
ubonjoe replied to jaffas21's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A change from a non-b to a non-o visa cannot be done without leaving the country. She does not need a non-o visa to change the reason of her current extension of stay to one based upon being a member your family. Her current extension will have to be canceled on the day she apples for the new extension of stay. Where will you be getting married at. You will need the original and a copy of your marriage certificate. Copies of both your passports will be needed. You may also need a letter from your employer confirming you are still working. See number 20 here. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1890 -
Re Entry Permit: Travelling to Laos.
ubonjoe replied to beatlebones's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can only get a re-entry permit when leaving the country at Don Muang. You should be able to get a re-entry permit at the bridge in Nong Khai. They had a re-entry permit desk there before and I assume it is still open. A re-entry permit is valid to use for entry up to the day the permit to stay it is issued for ends. -
