  1. This what happened to my SSA-7162 in 2019 between July 7th and Sept 10th. Thai post tracking. Zip code 18764 is a unique zip code and is at the SSA office in Wilkes Barre. Source: https://www.zip-codes.com/zip-code/18767/zip-code-18767.asp I did a lot of research about it in 2019 and did not send the 2nd form they sent in October, since the first one was received. It apparently was received in a gray area between received and the 2nd notice being done in their system. I was not the only one that had a similar problem then and theirs were also signed for by "D Kosin". I do admit it might of been partly my fault for forgetting to check tracking after it showed it was on the final leg of being delivered.
  2. On the old online system the given name was not marked with a * and many offices were denying the report due to not completing it and they made the new one the same way. My advice has been to type in your full name to avoid problems.
  3. Before immigration changed the TM7 and TM8 forms and immigration only posted them in the PDF format they were available in the document format (.doc) and you needed a compatible Word program or equal to do them to complete it.
  4. That would be a printout of the Kor Ror 2 marriage registry to prove you are not divorced. I don't recall any embassy asking for one other than one nearby official consulate for a multiple entry non-o visa.
  5. Before online reporting was set up the mail in option was available. I think I would of done it that way. I have used mailed in reports before when the office was a long way from home and I could not use the online reporting due to a old entry to the country and a new passport.
  6. A off topic post and baiting posts have been removed. Time to end it now.
  7. Yes Immigration does but the bank does not close for lunch.
  8. Yes Info here: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/courses/muangthongthani-will_be-closed/
  9. Having proof it was delivered seems to of worked back in 2019 when I was sent a 2nd notice due to Wilkes Barre not signing off for the delivery of it until September since tracking showed it was almost at Wilkes Barre in June. I sent a email to Manila and a fax to the SSA International Operations office. Maybe that is why Kivetoruk's was signed for quickly.
  10. The 90 day extension would be for medical treatment. No need for the financial proof until near end of the 90 days when you apply for the one year exension.
  11. No problem to return the same day but I have heard of Malaysia insisting you stay at least one night.
  12. Got mine this afternoon. Did this post in other topic about it.
  13. Got my SSA-7162 this afternoon. Date at top of form is June 27th. About 2 weeks to get it is not to bad. Now in the envelope to be mailed by Registered Air Mail. Not worried about how long it takes to get there. My main concern it have proof it was mailed and received. A earlier post on this page seems to show it is not taking as long as in the past.
  14. Where to apply for a tourist visa depends upon how you are willing to travel to get it. It has hard to state what the current policy is at nearby embassies and consulates after more than 2 years of border closures. By land Savannakhet and Vientian are both good locations to get a tourist visa. Getting 2 of them back to back may not be a problem now.
  15. That is correct. Been doing my 90 day reports early online for some time without a problem when applying for my extension.
  16. You an have somebody do the extension application for you with the proof your are unable to travel to do it yourself. The main problem you may have is getting the letter and etc from your bank. Since it will not involve a withdrawal you may be able have somebody do it for you.
  17. Regulation is at numbers 30 and 31 in English and Thai is in this pinned topic. https://aseannow.com/topic/981135-laws-regulations-police-orders-etc/
  18. It is basic statement written and signed by your wife confirming you are still married and request they issue the non-o visa to you. It can be hand written in Thai.
  19. You will get another email with a receipt for the approved report. It could be hours or days until you get it. If not received today it will be next Monday before you will get it due immigration being closed until then.
  20. Odd they are asking for the insurance and etc when they have a pop message when you open the e visa site that states this.
  21. I don't think they check signatures when the they receive the SSA-7162. I assume they just scan the form and that is it. The US embassy will report your death to all the relevant agencies when they are informed of your death.
  22. It can depend upon the office you report to. Some offices do reject them if you do not put a house, room or condo number.
  23. 1. The rules for a extension based upon being the parented of a Thai does not mention any amount of time for the 400k baht to be in the bank. But many offices want it to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply. 2. Some offices want it to be in the bank until you return to get your get your one year extension stamp. I don't recall Udon immigration want that. If they want that proof they will tell you when you apply for the extension.
  24. I put home and the house number. I have used that 3 times for my approved online reports.
  25. You could do that if needed. If your wife is Thai you could apply for a single entry non-o visa that will allow a 90 day stay. It may not show all the requirements that a tourist visa requires.
