  1. Lucky for me I've never been outside the EU.

Wonder how they found out she had been living in the USA?

NB : it is all based on examining PASSPORTS. You now have to present them for hospital procedures in the UK - i have done this recently. So it's simple - ah madam you landed in the US in 2010 (for example) and your passport shows no returns to the UK until now (2015), and only short trips to (say) Mexico and Canada in the intervening 5 years. Conclusion : you live in the US !

What utter rubbish!! Firstly UK passports do not show date of entry or date of exit to the UK.

NHS hospitals would have no reason to ask a british person for his passport and indeed he could say he does not have one.

Secondly the UK government dont even know how many foreign overstayers there in the UK as they are not ever stamped out of the UK at immigration, so how would they know dates from a Uk passport, other than entry dates in other countries.

Look at the rules, yes if you are granted residency in another country then issues can occur, but this is Thailand who have long and laborious hoops to jump through and cost to gain a residency permit.(and for what?)

Of course maybe if you state you live abroad then you can get issues, but like many UK passport holders they are always entitled to immeduite NHS care if they say they have returned permanently??? Who is to say different?

Finally living in Thailan does not grant you residency in Thailand in general, more likely you have a tourist or retirement extension which is not residency and look at your passport, you are a resident domicile UK.

My apologies for getting annoyed, but really read the rules, they are in general talking about non UK passport holders or UK passport holders who have taken up residency in another country, simply living in Thailand on a Visa does not grant you Thai residency.

  3. Some basic simple advice:

    Your router looks pretty old?

Has your router been set up correctly?

Check out the cables for "thai" repairs all the way into your block, they just wrap together and tape up, useless!

How well is your computer running? Do you have adware malware viruses etc? Maybe a reformat is needed?

Complain and complain often to TRUE and ask them to come out and check out, should be no charge?

In general Thai expat tv will run on the cheapest package deals perfectly

Streaming can be an issue, especially if your computer is not up to it.

Finally get a friend to bring his laptop etc to your home and see if same problem, that will tell you if its your computer!

    Where are you located?

  4. Tems are needed to start the Sunday Pool League

    This league is as follows:

4 Person team, max 2 Thai Males

Comprising of 2 rounds each person, of 8 Ball, then 9 ball, then 10 ball

Start time is 8pm and usually finishes by 11pm

Assistance will be given re rules etc and the league is for FUN!

If you have a team or as an individual or please contact by message or come to the meeting at 8pm 13 December at SHOOT POOL, South Pattaya Road

    Best

  5. Effectively it is up to the inland Revenue if you mean "Non Resident For tax Purposes"

You have to demonstrate to the UK Inland Revenue that you are resident abroad and have little or no ties to UK, however retaining UK property is often an issue, likewise you are possibly NOT a Thai resident, merely on Visa's and as such cannot demonstrate you have residence in Thailand, it will help if you register for tax in Thailand, even if you pay nothing.

Eventually the Inland Revenue will tell you when they consider you non resident for Tax Purposes, (You can ask) but you will always be liable to Income Tax on employment and property income in the UK.

All this info can be found on the Inland Revenue web site.

  6. I agree with what everyone is stating, no quack treatment, ultra careful about manipulation, I went many years with a similar problem having BUPA and NHS treatment for years in the UK, you what the miracle was for me?

DICLOFENAC tablets, the first time I took a pill I felt the pressure and pain reducing in a few hours!

Yes it took probably a month of low dosage, and now I probably only take one pill a month to stave off a re-occurence.

    Pleae look at :

What you are trying to do is relax the muscle spasms and reduce the swelling so the disc can get in its place and reduce presure on the nerve, best of luck.

N.B. Losing weight and mild exercise will help immensely once you are back on your feet!

  7. That's life! At least they admitted their mistake, this can happen anywhere in the world!

E bay though are very good, just inform e bay through disputes and you will either be sent another one or a full refund, but remember to ask for recorded delivery and make sure your address is correct and not what you think maybe okay.

  8. Two fried eggs every day might be a problem with bad cholesterol, but truly speaking its all about a balanced diet meal, ie fruit, veg, fibre, fluids (water) and some moderate exercise!

Enjoy your breakfast but balance it out!

  9. Yes, I know done before....but a while ago!

I want a clean and service for my hone air conditioner, just dirty.

I used to use NUMCHAI but the last few times they were in and out of house in 10 minutes and really did not even check the compressor!

Can you recommend someone competent please and an idea of price etc.

    Thanks Paul (Pattaya Klang)

  10. I bought in an auction in UK a mantle clock, which was about 100 years old, it packed up!

I took to a shop (Go down Pattaya Klang towards beach, turn left at Soi Buakhao, 1st watch shop on left, about 3rd shop from turning, not the 2nd watch shop!), they took it apart, cleaned it, found a new piece to fit and were very good, and very fair price.
