  1. Thanks for some actual info.
  2. More troublemakers! For all he knows they could have been smoking anything or sniffing glue etc, kids will smoke or sniff or take whatever is around!
  3. So no real update etc, re best beach, prices, etc? Note I wanted updates from recently if possible, not the history of Chinese refugees! Thanks again.
  4. Please let me know etc. Thanks.
  5. Hi there I used to day visit Koh Larn Island many years ago but stopped because of the hordes of Chinese etc. What's it like at the moment? Is it packed? Which is the best quieter beach and how much should I pay for beach chairs etc? Any advice, thanks.

  7. Yes, I agree my response was too casual, I meant initially to delete the shortcut, clear the browser cache, etc, restart and effect a new Facebook shortcut, etc.
  8. Facebook is not effectively installed on your computer rather it is a web page I suspect you have a browser problem. Have you tried to access your account using another browser or computer? Does the same issue happen? The first step in any troubleshooting is to clear the browser cache/cookies. *For Internet Explorer browser: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Delete *For Google Chrome: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Browsing Data *For Firefox: Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL simultaneously and click Clear Now (other browsers are similar) Let me know if still an issue.
  9. Uninstall Facebook, restart the laptop, reinstall Facebook, use an alternative browser, ie Edge or Firefox, etc.

Unfortunately, most servers in Thailand have very poor security so you will get viruses and Trojans here. It certainly does not help if like some friends etc you look at certain sites and download pictures etc. The best way and simplest is to save your all passwords and important files to a USB memory stick etc, save all your contacts and emails and phone numbers and then reformat your laptop to a fresh setup and reboot your phone. Quite simple to do at any shop etc (Dr Com, 3rd floor, TukCom) if you are not confident doing it yourself. Windows Defender is a great protection system, but not foolproof. Never open emails and files from unknown sources. If you have a true Windows then make sure you keep the Windows Key etc to reload.
  11. I'm in Pattaya Dec for 6 weeks, and my bike and car licenses are 1 year out of date, where can I go to get sorted, rather than the hassle of the license center? What sort of costs etc involved? Thanks for any constructive advice.
  12. I thought most knew that DHL is the worst to deal with when you have issues etc, they are unhelpful at all times and charge a fortune in fees and duties. Best to find a different delivery option or order elsewhere.
  13. Sorry to say, but rather wrong, for instance, in the EU and particularly the UK the insurance is specific to named drivers and named cars.....of course there are exceptions.
  14. Points for Scotland: They speak Scottish (Which might be harder to understand) They are in general friendly It rains and snows. It can be very cold It can be expensive It might be lonely Short winter days Need a visa Health treatment would be expensive Need a car Points for Thailand They don't all speak English They are in general friendly It can be hot and sunny It can be inexpensive It will not be lonely Need a visa Health treatment would be expensive Long sunny days Might need a car Hard choice?
  15. Nope! Emergency travel Document is normally just to get you home!
  16. Well, they stated they only want affluent tourists! It looks like they might get that with Airlines gouging ticket prices, flights return in December are nearly £1000+ compared to earlier this year at £400 and previous December's were still only £600+-
