    Having lived/worked overseas for many years, when friends say they would like to come out, I suggest the following: Airport Taxi Contact numbers, a selection of Hotel prices, suggest the need for travel Insurance and why, state how much money to bring and double it, explain tactfully you are on a tight budget with no money to lenda nd finally which bars are best and sights to see. It might help to explain manners in Thailand as well.

    No envy at all....when I invest, I check out the performance and failures of the business and look at investment managers' history and reputation As for his lifestyle... it's great...and paid for by his investors! (OPM)

    Okay, I will admit I don't trust Richard Branson. He has had more than a few companies declare Bankruptcy and in general, the only losers are the investors who are in general wiped out. Meantime, Mr. Branson is in his balloon on his way to his private holiday Island to count his $$$!

    In the UK, any emergency illness would be immediately seen and treated. As to costs, it depends on whether you state you have returned permanently to live in the UK, then no cost. Or as a UK visitor, potentially pay as you go!

    I know many have bad health issues such as yours, but quite often it is just a short-term inflammation. Consider one or two weeks of taking 50mg daily of Diclofenac Sodium, (or 25mg twice daily) it is a Non Steroid Anti Inflammatory drug. A few weeks of this can often settle everything down to normal....Up to you. Good luck.

    It's shameful really on Thailand....why can't they show some respect to the elderly and change to "Over 75 years of age, Visa renewal ....no charge!"

    I guess no natural land, just concrete etc. No Trees, plants, nothing! But go just 5-10Kms out of town and there you have plenty of insect life etc.

    Sadly wrong, there is no facility or benefit available on death to his Thai family. (Bereavement support is only potentially available for UK residents / family) The only possible money might be a private pension, if available.

    No, they have usually road going dtylecmountwin bike tyres, a sort of common hybrid. If you want to torture yourself, try one of those bikes with monster tyres, hard work and horrible. I'm sure some though may disagree,

    I can honestly remember over at least 10 year this same problem. . In the past they blocked up where it was coming until it forced its way through, then aboutv 5 years ago they bulldozed sand over this area, trying to hide it and that it would magically not reappear. Unfortunately, this is Thailand, and they not a clue how to effect long term repairs on anything!

    Hi there Coming over at Xmas after 30 months away, just want to get everything straight with a little help, please. Baht bus standard prices, ie from View Talay 7 to Pattaya, and around town, I assume 10 baht? Beach chair prices in Pattaya and Jomtien, both styles? Anything changed I should be aware of that's changed, ie Cops, etc? Thanks, and have a great day!

    Hi there I used to day visit Koh Larn Island many years ago but stopped because of the hordes of Chinese etc. What's it like at the moment? Is it packed? Which is the best quieter beach and how much should I pay for beach chairs etc? Any advice, thanks.
