in recent weeks this country seems to be going down the s h I tter on multiple levels
it really is disturbing
and that is on top of all the normal type s h I t that we have seen for the last 6 years
it really can't go on like this
They hate westerners because we know and call it
I think Thai people will eventually get it
6 million people right now must be very p issed off
The junta thinks they don't matter - I honestly think that is a grave error and I can understand why

Just crawled through a few hours of Thai tweets with auto translate on and nothing to note. No horror images or vids. Now either they have got real good at suppressing them or they don't exist. By contrast certain unmentionable things that they would no doubt like to suppress flood twitter at various times - so I've been told.
you seemed to have convinced yourself - who am I to argue

My money's on Som Tam nothing can survive that spicy onslaught. That said if there was carnage at the hospitals there would have been numerous stuff on social from concerned health officials. Instead there is nothing. Zilch.
There have been - the Government Fake News division has investigated every one of them and concluded they are all "Fake News"

At least no fatalities yet. The dead ate a bit harder to hide.
people die all over Thailand every day - what might be questionable is the reason relatives are given - what do they know

I trust the World health Organisation more than your opinion mate - no offence
Oh and how would you know who has or hasn't got the virus in Thailand without a valid test

A new report from a WHO infectious disease modeling team based at Imperial College London is estimating about two-thirds of Covid-19 cases worldwide have gone undetected. The analysis suggests the global spread of the novel coronavirus is significantly greater than the current volume of confirmed cases.

I said about 3 weeks ago that there could be many infected people in Thailand who are living at home and sick and likely being told just to stay there or have been sent there

are they still trying to justify the ruling ?

not sure the Thai police have any idea what their job is to be honest, seems that all they can do is set up a roadblock and fine people for not wearing a helmet or not having a driving licence, beyond that doesn't seem to be part of their remit, writing tickets seems to be the limit - not much beyond a traffic warden in the UK

so lets take two points raised here while also considering the severe challenges going forward
So domestic spend (Thai people) is increasing while tourism and incomes across the board are going through the floor
yes that makes a lot of sense, keep saying it often enough and it might come true
Covid -19 is almost eradicated in Thailand so everyone welcome
There is no doubt that these people tell a great yarn
Surprised no mention of any hubs

The news article just doesn't make much sense, so we would have to check other sources to know what they really meant.
Here they say that because of the low interest rate, the court doesn't consider the money to be a loan.
In this sentence they say it violated Section 66 because they took out a loan of more than 10 million baht. In the previous sentence they just said they don't consider this as being a loan.
They have tried to justify their ruling and failed - simple

at some point in the near future some consciensious senior doctor is going to break and divulge all he knows and I suspect it won't be pretty and possibly career ending

Sounds suspiciously like Covid-19? Healthy man, who probably doesn’t smoke, and who is fit and active. If I were a doctor it’s the first thing I would test for.
you are not the only one thinking this

If I was the family I'd be wanting to see test results and be asking some very probing questions
It suspect that doctors here are told what to say under heavy pressure from government even if it involves not being wholly truthful

Certainly the next time I feel cold like symptoms I’m taking it very seriously from the get go ... plenty of water, sleep, no physical activity and healthy food. You don’t want that virus spreading to your lungs.
i hope it works out well for the man.
I was in Bangkok early Jan and travelled the BTS busses etc - when I got back home I developed a cough and runny nose - a week later news of the outbreak hit the media - I did wonder what I had caught but runny nose was not supposed to be a symptom of corvid 19 but you just never know

not surprised at all, would not be surprised if they didn't even test for it...….what they don't know they don't have to lie about
A friend told me recently (Sat) about an Asian guy (almost certain Chinese) walking into a venue he was in (LKM), he was sweating profusely and looked very ill indeed, his shirt was soaking and you could see water droplets on his exposed skin - definitely had a serious problem going on
He said he never saw a place empty so quickly, the guy sat down and people actually got up and moved away - you could see staff getting into a panic not want to serve him, pretty much everyone headed for the exit - no idea what happened after that
Don't know what is going on with this young man Mark but it is highly suspicious IMO
I hope he recovers soon

too much information mate - I think it is safe to say that neither bus nor driver were fit for the task which isn't at all a surprise in Thailand
We have about 1800 road deaths in the UK annually with a similar population to Thailand
Thailand has near double that per month
Pretty much says it all really
Road Safety costs huge money - Thailand has no intention of spending

And what if the jury doesn't care about what they are legally supposed to do?
It seems in the USA and many other countries many people and especially the media made up their mind that Weinstein is guilty.
I guess for the jurors, living with that media influence for months or years, it is difficult to decide against what many people think.
Because it seems many people make up their minds based on what many others think...
I will give you a chance of a job if you suck my …….
does that sound right to you ?
yes some people might think that is ok - they should be locked up too

Happens everywhere with people in positions. But not one time did they report him for rape so clearly they knew he would boost their carier and he also knew how to use his position. Now after most of the women are famous thanks to him they see their chance to get back.
so you think what he did was ok - like a win win
this ugly fat bastd used his position of power and influence to have his way and if you believe what some are saying - it was rape
Happens everywhere with people in positions doesn't make it right
funny thing is - old fat ugly farangs - it could be argued are also victims of something similar but in reverse lol

when foreign diplomats from the US EU and others around the world voice their opinion on such matters openly and in public then Thailand needs to pay attention
Thailands response sounded like it came from a classroom of 6 year olds - unbelievable
they are obviously out of their depth and will pay for their childish ignorance
