What was Germany's objective from 1900-1945 - European military and political domination and failed twice
What is happening in the EU right now - a simple trading block ?
Nope
Political Domination and now moving towards a military power - the idea of a simple trading block was lost a long time ago
Scotland and SNP has nothing to do with the EU - it is an inherent hate for anything English resurrected in Scotland by a "Republican movement" not dissimilar to N.Ireland's republicans, they don't care about the benefits of being in the UK as one nation - they don't tell the truth about what their so called independence would really mean - they would expect the UK to maintain support just as it is now lol
The reality is somewhat different, just like the Republic of Ireland they refuse to accept or admit to the benefits they receive - the ROI has a rude awakening coming and quite frankly so does Scotland if they follow the SNP into oblivion
Scotland would take with it a share of total UK debt which they would be paying off for decades - inward investment from the UK would cease - they would not qualify to join the EU - I would await them begging to rejoin the United Kingdom were they belong
Stupid people

Honestly mate you are talking complete tosh - what nationality are you - my guess would be either Irish or German
what the EU is - go listen to Verhofstadt's latest outburst in response to UK leaving - he basically wants to remove the ART50 process so that no country can leave - sound familiar, and he is a senior official in Brussels - you could of course say he doesn't represent the voice of the EU - try removing him
"No member country should have the option to leave" no "opt-ins - no opt-outs"
you believe what you want that is your right - respect the UK and what they decided - it is done now, lets look forward to a good trading relationship
who will be next to leave - my money is on Germany and France - check out "two speed EU" read all about it

we just understand the EU power grab (basically Germany) and reject it, there is/was nothing wrong with trade when it all started in 1973 - that is far from what it is now
It is a very simple concept to understand for most - evidently you're not getting it
Europe has a history of power grabs, just because it is not war and killing doesn't make it harder to recognise - the UK is having none of it, we prefer peaceful trade

Quarantined, eh. They're being treated worse than the Chinese tourists, who apparently once at Thailand's door are allowed to skip through without any quarantine or monitoring whatsoever.
exactly, how on earth does anyone make sense of that

a sad day ?
The truth of the matter is we joined the common market but the power hungry (Germany) got out of control - not what we signed up for
The irony is if we stayed any longer the EU may have instructed our own Navy and armed forces to invade us lol
good riddance
There was nothing wrong with having a trading partnership, the EU needs to have a long hard rethink about what they area trying to achieve - seems that another invasion has failed for the 3rd time

so lets get this right
a plane has gone to pick up Thais stranded in China and when they arrive back in Thailand they will be quarantined for 14 days
Hundreds are still arriving from China on holiday and all they are doing is scanning them which we now know to be ineffective at identifying all those infected
Well done Thailand another international first for administrative stupidity

take a long hard look at the balance of trade between UK and EU
Some pretty pointless nonsense bitter posts on this thread by people who just don't get it
as for Scotland - part of the UK with no change any time soon and also worth noting Scotland trade
- 60% within the UK
- 23% with the world
- 17% with EU
the republican SNP will be wiped out in the local elections next year just like LAB

so pass the responsibility on to China ?
how stupid is that
How about Thailand owning responsibility for its own citizens and borders

what world are you living - the UK market is huge
of course your post is so stupid maybe you are making a little joke - sorry for not getting it - I guess that reflects on the person posting
you do realise that the UK market alone is worth (for the EU) is more than 19 member states together and the second or first biggest for the EU, actual facts probably hurt for some to hear

No mention of Pattaya?
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who inspected screening procedures at Suvarnabhumi airport onWednesday said Thailand was “100 precent in control of thesituation”.If you werent worried before ..........
they have already been told screening doesn't work which is why the WHO have an emergency meeting today
People infected and spreading this virus are showing no symptoms which makes it extremely difficult to deal with - why has China locked down millions of people and huge areas of the country - they seem to be getting it
-
it would appear Thailand hasn't wakened up to this yet - hint, take a long hard look at China - it started with one infected
be very interesting to see what the WHO say later today after their 2nd emergency meeting - I have a feeling it will not be good and generally ignored by Thailand

exactly, expose yourself to something long enough it will adapt and find a way, very likely something similar going on in China then these viruses easily jump to humans

screening is ineffective at identifying those infected, they show no symptoms and can still spread the virus which makes this a very dangerous situation
for a key indication of what is coming you only need to look at the measures being taken in China - they are severe
Thailand needs to take some very serious steps now or this will spread out of control if it hasn't already

think I'd be staying on board or the ship should have stayed off shore, there is now a risk of bringing the virus onto to the ship since it seems screening is ineffective - some very poor choices being made

Brexit at last: Britain leaves the EU as champagne corks fly
in World News
Posted
Thank you - it really is the truth
I love Europe, I have many friends from Europe, we need to all get on and trade together, unfortunately there are power hungry elements that might stand in the way of that - that is the sad part of this whole thing, very sad really - human nature will prevail which means there are dire times ahead - I hope this is not true but I would not like to put money on it
As for the UK, our true and only ally has and always will be the USA - a bond that cannot be replaced to the East, lets hope that common sense prevails
when you look at what the UK now wants it is not that far removed from what we had in 1973 - a good trading relationship with our European neighbours, somehow I cannot see that happening, power and greed has taken over the EU and bitter resentment is floating to the surface - human nature - our dark history is full of it
Have we changed ?
nope
