  1. There is a ton of info for it in last 2 months .

    https://www.energy-storage.news/united-airlines-invests-in-sodium-ion-as-first-gigafactory-for-new-battery-tech-opens-in-china/

Faradion is btw now CATL if i am correct ( takeover). 1st production lines are opened , mass production that is.

There are indeed many types of sodium batteries , like the saltwater batteries , with do take some good space , but never made a breakthrough (shame , since it is very easy and could be cheap , but unfortunate it isn't) . The EV market is however the keyhole. Many if not all companies are looking for cheaper alternatives , since the biggest cost by far for a EV is the battery package. With big names like CATL starting up production lines (sodium ion can be made on same production line as Li ion) it is something else. If this is all correct , i will guess 1st batteries hitting consumer (aka us) market in 2nd half of 2023.

hahahaha wow, you need a joint

So, Mr. Serious, what would the fine be for taking a legal substance on a plane?   Like tea, or coffee beans or crispy cremes.

I don't know. Durian (fresh) is forbidden on a passenger plane . Durian is available everywhere in Thailand. What is the fine for taking it ? Nothing they just will take it from you. Like i said , i don't know if taking cannabis on a plane is forbidden or not , but just because it is allowed outside a airplane , doesn't mean it is allowed on a plane and/or there are no fines when you will do so .

I got a 1/2 kilo in Isaan, flew to Bangkok and then flew to north Thailand. Put it in my luggage, no stress no worry, its legal!  If Kerry can deliver a kilo to my house, why wouldn't I be able to board a plane with it?

Nr 1 : Kerry is a official transport company , they can transport anything .

Nr2 : Kerry does not bring the kilo to your house with a airplane

Nr3 : there are plenty of goods which are forbidden for air transport in passenger flights , including Li batteries , durian , gas canisters , any fuel , ....

So basically your statement does not mean anything. Are you able to do it , idk , but just because a transport company can bring something to your home does not mean at all that you can do the same.

  4. There is a new technology underway in batteries, production starting in 2023.

There is plenty more info around about these batteries . Before you say , but we all know about new technologies , but it takes ages to go mass market. True , but the company claiming production is CATL , 1 of the biggest Li-ion battery makers. The advantages are huge in home electricity storage , as they should be cheaper , by quite a lot ( maybe not in the start) , as sodium is about as abundant around as air ( probably even more sodium then air) .

Thais ignore solutions.  Me 1st is their motto; they drive on pavements; the wrong way up many one-way streets even on two lane highways.

Sure , but do you see that on beach road or 2nd road ? With a motorbike for a few m yes , not with a car . Problem is that there is too much traffic already on Soi Buakhao . Especially at the crossings with Soi Lengkee , where every single day the traffic gets stuck . The 2 way traffic there creates a big mess , since traffic from 3th road over to Lengkee wanting to cross the road to Soi LK and traffic coming from both directions wanting to go straight . When it is 1 way , like beach or 2nd , the traffic will get much easier . It is by far the easiest and cheapest solution . 3th road is bigger and can handle 2 way traffic , especially since there are much less people walking , crossing roads .

Currently i want to find out if GROWATT SPF-5000-ES can run with parallel setup without batteries?

As far as i know and heard , this is impossible and not only for Growatt but for all inverters . The reason is that 1 needs to be the master unit and other(s) slave(s) .If power fails , then the units don't know which unit to listen to .If you want to parallel units , you need a battery .

I agree with you that skin color makes no difference to me, simply because I am better than that.

And, also because, I prefer to live in a place where skin color is all the same color, except mine.

However, if I were not white, like Jasmine Rice, and if my skin were black, for example, then I still would not mind being a Token Black Man.

And, ALSO, I am fairly thick-skinned.

So, I don't mind being called a token anything.

Culture, on the other hand, is important to me.

No , i know as a white ( aka farang) i am entitled to some priviledges , but i also pay more then a Thai person . Imho , that is my benefit ... i am entitled to pay extra for everything . I do not mind , i do my thing and as long as they act normal to me i am fine . I do understand i am the foreigner in their country and i do not speak their language perfectly .

But then, TBH, are you really being honest with yourself?

yes , being honest to myself , i never ever think in the morning evening or any other time , thank god i am xxx color . I never even thought about anybody thinking like that . I am on internet and im drinking some beer so i can talk open ... i am racist in many of peoples believes here in Belgium . I do however never ever come close to your vision of the world . I never think bad about people based on color . Color is where you born , and your parents , more sun=darker . I do not think bad about that .I really mean when i say , your view on the world is very racist . Never i would even mildly think , oh i look in the mirror and say , thank god i am white ... that is a disgrace to me and i really cannot understand such kind of thinking .

  9. TBH , i never think about being a white guy , neither do i think about others in any shade . I never looked in the mirror thinking , damn i am a white guy . Neither did i ever looked at others thinking she is black , green , yellow or any other color . I do see the darker or lighter color , like he/she is African , he/she is Asian , or European , but i never think like in colors. Yes the background does do something , like a EU person is different then somebody from Asia or Africa , but not at all in the way you think . I personally think the simple way you think is just racist .

would any broker be game enough to lease 4 planes to this company in light of their past history.

Yes , as with any airline . Past years ( 2020-2021) have been extremely bad for any airline , reasons why , don't need to clarify . Now it is a new era , past the 2020-21 years , with new future ahead . Etihad is going back to A380's , as well as some other companies . There are planes being ordered in large amounts , and long distance flights are now not only expensive but also full . Thai Airways , in any chance of survival/business , needs good airplanes . A350's are extremely attractive , meaning , for passengers who do travel a bit and are looking for a nice aircraft to get a seat in it is actually nr2 on the list . Most people do not care , but on the other hand they do , bad experience in flight they choose another next time.

The list for long distance is A380-A350-787 and all the rest , much further behind .

Only possible if you have a work permit or married to a Thai national that has lived overseas

    1. In the case of a foreigner who has relocated to Thailand, one of the following evidence is required:
      1. Letter from the Immigration Office certifying that you will be granted a temporary stay for a year.
      2. Letter of permission from the Department of Employment that Being allowed to work in Thailand for not less than 1 year
      3. http://www.customs.go.th/cont_strc_simple.php?ini_content=individual_F01_160426_01&ini_men

Would nr1 not be viable under the Thailand Elite visa ?

"Despite your Thailand Elite visa validity is 5 years, it allows to stay in Thailand for a maximum of 1 year per stay. If you don't plan to travel outside Thailand during a full year, you can contact the member service which will send you a letter to extend your stay for another year. It's straight forward with just a form to fill, the letter from member service and your passport."

  12. No company besides solar panels give a 25y warranty . That is because the technology is very stable and actually very easy . That doesn't mean it can't go wrong , it only means by far most solar panels do produce 80% of their starting power after 25y . If it does go wrong , and like i said it does rarely happen , prob the panel is not producing anything anymore , which is prob not in the warranty . Anyway ,trying to get the warranty after 25y , i'd say , chances are pretty small .

My thought was to use that cable instead of Granny Charging so instead of 2.3kW and then 21hrs to full charge use this cable 3.5kW (16A) and 13 hrs to full charge.

This would even stress your Inverter a lot less ????

The trick is , keep your car fully loaded . Not like your petrol or diesel car , where you refuel when empty , just plug in your car when you are at home . This way you need not 10h , 15h for fully loading your car , but only 1-4 hours ( normal outlet that means 2.5-10kW or 15-75km which covers most transport needs ) .

  14. I am ordering a EV outside Thailand and i know several people driving EV's . Most of those people do NOT have any charge or wall box , and they do use their car every single day for driving to work. All EV's i know can charge from any normal output at 2.3kW . Knowing that EV's normally use 15-20kW/100km , means you can use any normal output if you do less then 150km per day . I guess , by far most people do not do those distances . Sure wallbox does charge faster , but just plug in your car when you are home and you can drive every single day a good distance without any special wiring and meters .

Sure weed may smell but try to have some compassion......The fact that Soi Bukow in Pattaya reeks of weed should tell you that there are a lot of sick people on Soi Bukow who are only smoking weed for medical needs....

The law says weed is only for medical needs, so no one would smoke weed without a medical need....

If thats the case , open up a hospital somewhere where they can smoke it freely , so not open in the street , or especially in crowded places where the smell keeps hanging around for long time.

    what are you 12 ?

i just came back from buakhao too. the stench at many places is incredible. the stench of stale beer and p8SS revolts me. this area of thailand takes this stench to a whole new level.

for me it smells really bad so i try to move to another place,.

Your name prob says it all . Yes i try to move to different places like i said . If it was at the places selling it , np , it is legal , so who am i to complain. The thing is , it was not at those places , but just in the street , move around another 30m and you get out of the smell but move another 30m and there comes another wave of that smell . Beer and p*ss smell as you say , true , but that has always been around bars . Maybe i'm just very sensitive to the smell of cannabis , but i smell it from far away and i keep inhaling it for a long time .

When I'm in a group of Thais and hear the word, "Farang", I know exactly who they are talking about, and at the point I tend to focus in on the conversation.  It's fun catching them saying something derogatory (it doesn't happy often but it does happen) and then saying something that lets them know I heard and understood them, usually with me grinning and making direct eye-contact.  Major loss of face.  But most of the time it's a simply descriptor that identifies one person out of a crowd, or a specific somebody who lives in a Tambon that is rather free of Westerners.

Other than that though, I don't care.  I live in an area where I'm one out of another two 'farangs' in our Tambon, and I don't know either of them personally.  Just the way I like it.

Well isn't that the case everywhere around the world (before the woke thing) . If you see somebody with a different skin color and you need to know who that is , you do pronounce him as the "person with that color" . In Thailand that means "farang" if you are a white person. I do not call it racist in anyway . Only be offenced if they do know who you are and keep on calling you farang instead of your name.
