Thai E-Cigarette Debate Sparks Health Experts' Outrage
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I haven't had a cigarette for the past 45 years, not even one puff. I don't see any difference between vaping and tobacco smoking. We hear all about the chemicals in vaping. So I take it that ready made cigarettes are chemicals free. That's just a load of crap from the all powerful tobacco industry protecting their wealth to the detriment of peoples health. -
On the website.

I'm still stuck here with this problem. Is there anyway I can by pass the security verification? If so I can edit my phone number and I'll be back in business.

Why Do Thai Girls Love Getting Tattoos?

Any reason to show off. My former next door neighbor used to set the alarm on his new BMW so people would come and stare. " WHAT ABOUT ME" -
Here's where I'm at with this problem. Firstly my phone number was changed without my consent. There have been suggestions that I should open a new account. That's well and good but the security SMS messages would be sent to that phone number and not to my real phone number. So I'm stuck in limbo here.

My Thai wife was 68 yo's last week and I'm going on 80. I presume I'll fall off the perch before she does because of the age difference. So what happens if she were to die before me? We own ( fully paid ) 3 properties that I paid for but all are in her name. The all up value is around 5 million baht so can I sell those properties? We've been married for 24 years so the properties being in her name aren't a problem. If I'm the last to go I'll give everything to her only grand kid. He's 25 yo's now and he's a great kid with a good job, no tatts etc and has always treated me as though I'm his real grand father.

Monk's Makeshift Eyebrows with Tape Solves Welfare Card Payment Issue
Mason45 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have 2 brother in laws who are monks in the Korat area. A middle ranking monk there built himself a 3 story house on the wats land. By the way the guy applying the eye lashes will be doomed for life as you're not supposed to touch a monk, so the mumbo jumbo goes on. -
Hi there, I've been using Lazada in recent years without any problems. My phone number has changed in the last few days, so now I can't get SMS security messages. I never changed it, so now I need to know is it possible to access my account so that I can to update my real phone number. Thanks.

While I think Biden pardoning his son is rather grubby, just image what Trump will do to all the charges leveled against himself. His name will be squeaky clean once he's President again.

For 14 years I made my marriage visas in Bangkok. It got to staged where it was p**sing me right off given the required paper work and at times the attitude of the immigration officers. Many times I had a complete check list and they wanted something else. I moved to Pattaya and a friend of mine suggested that I should use an agent. That was 10 years ago and I've never had any problems since I made that decision.

Illegal labour scandal: Over 50 foreign workers nabbed in Pattaya
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
My wife has had many food shops around Bangkok and more recently in Pattaya. She has a golden rule she won't employ Thais as they're lazy and unreliable. Most of these illegal workers have been through hardship all their lives. Thais consider themselves to have gone through hardships too but at least they knew where there next meal was coming from, even if it was only a bowl of rice soup. By the way how many of these illegals work for hi so families as domestics, child nanny's and other services? These same people do what they're paid to do and are much cheaper than Thais. -
Thai Government Vows Proactive Efforts to Safeguard Buddhism
Mason45 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I seen an interview with the Dalai Lama several years ago. The interview was going well until he was asked what did he think of Thai Buddhism. He paused, then gave a grin and said next question please. My wife has 2 brothers who are monks, both are only there because no one in the family wants them as they were both addicted to Lao Kaow. They both had good jobs in construction when they were younger and now they have nothing. I have nothing against Thai the monks, getting ordained it's their choice. I've always wondered where all the financial donations to every wat go to. I seem to think in many cases the fat cats in the temples management are milking the system. In some case the money some people leave to temples when they die is in the millions, -
Bangkok Bank App Problem.
Mason45 replied to Mason45's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I haven't got a problem buying a new phone but what gets me is that I only use the Bangkok Bank app once every year when renewing my one year visa with my agent. So it appears under the new rules when applying for a new one year visa you either buy a new phone and install the app. Or you wait for 4-5 hours in the Bangkok Bank where the agent takes me. PS : my current phone has worked perfectly on everything else since I bought it. I never use online banking by phone as I always do my banking on my laptop. -

Hi there, A few weeks ago I went to my visa agent and he told me I need to get a Bangkok Bank App on my phone, so as to prevent a 4-5 hour wait on the day that I apply for my one year visa. This was new to me as I've made 10 one year visas with the same agent and nothing like this has happened before. Anyhow I went to the Bangkok Bank today did all the paper work and now I can open my Bangkok Bank account on my laptop. The lady at the bank tried several times to activate the app on my phone but it doesn't work. She told me that maybe my phone is to old, the phone was a top of the range Android at the time of purchase and would be around 8 years old now. Besides this problem it works perfectly. Any suggestions besides buying a new phone for just one app. Thanks

Thailand to expand child support to all under six years old
Mason45 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
When my step daughter lived with us her boy friend used to bring his friends around for a drink at weekends. There were 6 males there, they all have had kids and had bailed out. The main Romeo had 7 kids with 7 different Juliet's and he had moved on to number 8. Of course he didn't support any of them, that was 10 years ago so his current tally now could quite easily be 15. I told him one day that his balls must be bigger than his brains and he told my wife he didn't see anything wrong with what he had done. -

Hi there, after several long drives up north and back my car needs a decent clean inside and out. I'm not referring to the latest car wash facilities, I'm talking about where the crew washes your car and gives it a decent clean inside with a industrial vacuum cleaner. They were everywhere until a few years ago and the same as fishing parks you never see them now. So I'm inquiring does anyone know where this is still done in Pattaya. As I'm living in a condo at the moment there's no access for me to do it myself. Thanks.
