  1. Thanks mate, I'm 80 yo not a would be wild child who's lived in Thailand for the past 25 years. I take care of my step daughter and her bludging boy friend. So I don't believe I should come under these rules where they say where I should live. I'm very happy to live between the 2 properties but Thailand is not as simple as that.
  2. Where do I stand? I own 2 properties in Thailand, a house in outer Bangkok and a condo in Pattaya. As I'm married to a Thai I have a chanote for both. I travel regularly between both properties but I have a one year retirement visa from my condo in Pattaya. I've been doing this for the past 10 years and I've never had a visit from the Immigration Police. I've always used the same visa agent, would this be the reason why I've never had a visit. All my 90 days and annual renewals are strictly done before the expiry dates.
  3. For international phone calls try MYTELLO. Their call rates are very competitive.
  4. I've been living in Thailand for the past 25 years, 22 of those years married. I must admit Thais are very friendly as long as everthing goes their way. If it doesn't be on your guard.

  7. I arrived at my house in Nong Chok Bangkok at 9.00 am this morning. I then swung into action and looked everywhere I may have put my passport along with 3 Thai bank books. Her indoors found it where I didn't even look. Without playing the Thai blame game I thanked her and left it at that. We've been married for 25 years and she has a habit of picking up things that aren't hers and never putting things back to where she found them. Anyway I'm so relieved as a replacement Aussie visa is around 5,500 baht and all the bull<deleted> notifying the police and the Australian Immigration Department in Bangkok. So thanks all for your constructive replies, it was very much appreciated.
  8. As I'm in Pattaya it will be Jomtiem. I've already made an application to make my 90 days report online. I'm going back to my home in Bangkok tomorrow to see if I can find my passport. The irony is when in Pattaya I always leave my passport in my condos safe because a laminated cop is accepted there. That's why I'm almost sure I've left it in my Bangkok home as I'm not sure if laminated copies are accepted in Bangkok. My registered address is my condo in Pattaya.
  9. Hi there, I live between my house in Bangkok and my condo in Pattaya. I need to do a 90 days report by 01 July but I"ve misplaced my passport. I'm in Pattaya now so I must have misplaced my passport at my Bangkok house. Can I do a 90 days report using the passport and visa data on my laminated copy? If not can this report be done online? Thanks.

  12. When the Thai fearless foreskin fusiliers move in this WAR will be over in no time. That is unless the Cambodians front up with their self made weapons. Then see who does a runner.
  13. Of course there were no Thai youth gangs who are heavily armed being singled out.
  14. Most male tourists wear a condom before having sex with a total stranger so why cant they keep a light weight shower cap in their bag if they're going to share a helmut from a motor bike taxi rider. Better still buy a pair of good fitting sports shoes and walk,
  15. So there were only 15 girls who got booked for hawking the fork in Soi Nana, obvious they weren't Thai because there's no prostitution in Thailand.

  17. After being married for nearly 25 years my wife still leaves her foot ware in the middle of our front door way.
  18. I have a holiday house in Chaochoengsao when I'm on my computer I face a boom crossing on that same line. Many times no one stops when the boom lowers. There's been several fatalities and numerous injuries but no one ever puts it down to stupidty as it's just another accident when it happens.

  20. Just as a matter of interest can an Australian Passport be renewed by an agent in Pattaya, if so what would the approximate fee be. The last time I renewed my Aussie Passport in Bangkok was a real hassle considering where I lived at the time. If I can use an agent in Pattaya I'd gladly pay.
  21. The stories we read seem to suggest that only Thai bar girls take their partners to to the cleaners. I can assure you that this practice is world wide but that doesn't make headlines because everyone is aware of this,
