    The thing that I most admire about Thais is they are always chasing a PB.

    How would that affect me? I'm an 80 yo Aussie married to a Thai. I've lived in Thailand for the past 24 years.. I don't receive the aged pension because I didn't return to Australia prior to my 63rd birthday, My only income is money invested in a term deposit account. The annual return from that account is below the tax threshold, so I don't pay tax in Australia.

    The reason bar girls are exempt for taxation purpose is there's no prostitution in Thailand. So the girls work in the bars as a community service for free.

    Thais must think that farangs don't pay tax. We pay tax on everything that we purchase daily. What the service providers do with that money is another issue. The fact is we do spend more money daily than the average Thai also means we pay more tax with no benefits.

    If Thai people moved to foreign countries and copped what we have to put up with here, they would scream racial discrimination and would win every time. Being married to a Thai really opens a can of worms. If we knew were would stood in Thailand many of us wouldn't of got married and moved on to a country that accepts us.

    How do I know if I'm a tax resident in Thailand? If they check me out they'll get one hell of a shock seeing how little I spend annually. I'm now 80 yo, no bar girls, I never go to bars even for a drink but I have a large fridge full of very healthy food. I'm exempt from paying any tax in Australia. Actually I'm see this as a wait and see situation because it woudn't be the first brain fart that went arse up here.

    I've lived in Thailand for 24 years, I support my wife, her daughter and the daughters boy friend, throw in my wifes invalid brother. I'm not complaining but aren't I already taxed enough given their daily needs. I'm far from rich but if this money grab ever eventuates then I know of several homeless people who will be victims of their government. In my case this will be the final straw,

    Take care of their animals, in many cases Thais In many cases Thais can't even take care of their own kids

    Do you thjnk that any overseas bank would allow Thailand to access our personal banking information.

    Another case of cost cutting and taking undue risks in Thailand. Safety mesh should've been fixed in place prior to the roof being installed. I'm a retired plumber and I had a number of times when the tiles crumbled. Luckily for me the safety mesh saved me from any falls. Cement tiles dry out in the sun over the years and become very brittle.

    When Carabao or Maleehuanna had concerts near our home I always made sure I went to these concerts. Both great talents, even at my house it's the only Thai music that I listen too. RIP

    Coming from the building trade, never by a property unless it's 4-5 years old. Then you will see any defects that appear, cracks and roof problems etc.

    I'm 80 yo, a former marathon runner but now I'm restricted to a 90 minutes walk daily. I only walk at 6.30 am because in the dark I'm prone to prowling dogs and morons on motor bikes. I've never had any trouble with other people and around 20 people say good morning to me every morning. Is Pattaya Park a known area for gay men especially wearing no shirt. Just a thought.

    Did they take into account the unfaithful Thais who are in relationships but not legally married.

    If you intend living in the same condo as you stated then forget about the one month room. There's a fair chance you won't have to supply any personal info apart from your hard earned cash for the one month room.

    Who in their right mind would have a pit bull terrier as a pet? There's only one way to fix a pit bull and that's a lead weight in the left ear. It should be illegal to own a pit bull as it is in other countries and then the owners can face serious consequences.
