  1. Can a Smart TV Box be used to view sports in Australia including AFL and cricket?
  2. The problem has been solved, the accused has been transferred to another post.
  3. What do you pay for Nexium and where do you buy it in Pattaya?
  4. I still gamble online via my VPN as I have an interest in a few greyhounds and a race horse in Australia but I learnt very early not to bet beyond my means. I don't see a problem with casinos as long as they are properly administered and are corruption free. The Thai lottery has destroyed many irresponsible people. My daughter in law is a prime case she works her arse off at her large restaurant and has nothing. She still outlays 50 grand per month on tickets for little or no result. Of course she owes all the people around where she works and has no intentions of paying them back, She also owes me 3 years rent for my town house, even though I gave her 50% discount. So I threw her out but I'll never see the money that's owing.
  5. I learnt to use COD for Lazada after paying for a product that never got delivered. The product was less than 100 baht so I forgot about it. Since then I've used COD without any problems. Now if the product doesn't get delivered I really don't care.
  6. Just image the crime rate in Thailand if they weren't all devout Buddhists.
  7. I totally agree, the same as all the night club fires over the years caused by poor wiring installation. Many people died in these fires and a few weeks later all was forgotten. Most of the same night clubs were rebuilt and are probably no safer than the previous buildings were.
  8. Twenty four years ago when I first met my wife to be we used to go on bus trips up the country to many different cities. After several incidents while on buses I chose to buy a car. I felt sooner or later our luck was going to run out. It so sad for the the people on the bus to lose their lives especially the kids. My thoughts are with them. May they RIP.
  9. Anyone who walks on Pattaya footpaths could be be heading for a disability, the pavers in certain areas are really dangerous. I go for a long walk early every morning and in most cases I walk on the road. The worst soi in Pattaya for encroachment must be so Buakaow.
  10. I think that think is word I missed.
  11. I don't they any intentions of going to work
  12. I doubt they have any of the above, they all live in shanty style accomodation on the outskirts of town with other illegals. They don't live they exist, their kids don't go to school. They live day to day so they don't need bank accounts. They ride second hand unregistered bikes without a license, It's probably no hardship for them as conditions here are similar to where they came from without the political unrest, military violence etc.
  13. Literally thousands and they are protected by the hi so's because they do all their menial domestic jobs that Thais won't do. They also work harder and are paid less than Thais. My wife and my step daughter both have different cheap food shops, so that's where I get my info from.
  14. It tried it but it still didn't work anyway thanks for the link. In hindsight it didn't really matter as I don't barrack for either side and the game was very one sided and of not must interest unless people barrack for the Lions.
  15. Even the ones doing home duties at politicians, senior armed forces and hi so's homes.
  16. Thais tend to ignore things and let them get out of hand. When they spit the dummy they can go ballistic with the wife or kids being on the end the receiving end.
  17. Thanks for your positive input, I don't mind paying but just because you pre pay for sporting events given the very ordinary wifi in Thailand it doesn't guarantee decent reception or prevent constant buffering.
  18. Five years ago I decided to diet and went from 95 kg's to 78kg's, over the last 12 months I'm a constant 86 kg's. I've given up rice, pasta, spuds and I've even cut my bread intake by 50%, only toast at breakfast time . I'm still drinking 2 large bottles of beer every night but I walk 90 minutes every morning at a brisk pace. What am I doing wrong?
  19. Obviously people aren't interested in anything expect the English Premier League.
  20. I have two brother in laws who live 30 kms from Korat, it's a rather primitive area to say the least. They go to work daily, they don't have regular jobs but there's plenty of casual work if guys get of their bums and go to work instead of gambling and boozing all day.
  21. The first move should be give those who get off their arse and go to work a decent wage
  22. Around 20 years ago I was in Yasothon and I witnessed the wildest brawl I've ever seen, it was a 2 day festival but I don't remember it's name. After only 2 hours there were around 100 guys brawling. They had lumps of wood, pieces of concrete, knives, broken bottles, even a sabre sword was produced. After about one hour the organizers called a halt for the day. Day 2 started off peaceful then a few hours later the brawl from the previous day flared up again. I told my friend we have to get out of here. As we were going back to the car park I seen one guy ride his motor bike flat out into the mob. The bike came to a dead halt and the mob proceeded to give the bike rider a real going over. I'm pretty sure given the severity of the beating he would've dead before an ambulance arrived. On both days of the festival there were at least 12-14 BIB's in the whisky tent and they more interested in the free booze than creating law and order.
