  1. "Businesses still don't separate waste well. Most of the businesses' employees are Cambodians who frequently change jobs. When new employees start working, they don't know how to segregate the waste," Thapanik said. "A lack of public awareness among the tourists is a factor too."

Classic, its the Cambodians and the tourists making a mess. We have never seen any Thai people dropping litter anywhere have we?

  2. Available on just about every main beach, especially Lamai and Chaweng. Not available on Fishermans Beach/Bophut I think.

Plenty of topics around about them, just use the search feature at the top of the page. Be careful!!!

There are a couple on bo phut beach, but not as many as chaweng. They tend to hang out around the middle of the beach area, close to Hansar and the other big hotels. And yes definately use the search function to see experiences of a few others that thought it might be fun!

  3. Three bedrooms worth of stuff? My advise is to sell all of your items that you don't REALLY need.

If I were to move to Thailand, which I plan to do in the future, I would bring my laptop and a small napsack.

But you live with your parents and don't actually have any 'stuff' do you?

And also were planning to sleep in the back of some seedy girly bar, I think the OP has slightly higher expectations.

  4. Yes very easy. Minibuses at a ridiculous fee aranged at the arrival gate will take you to the ferry terminal. There is no choice at the airport. 470 baht ( i think) including ferry from airport to Koh Chang. Then of course you are at the mercy of the local transport system unless you have agreed to pay the airport bus to take you on to where you need to go.
