No, sorry i'm busy that night can't make it!

Available on just about every main beach, especially Lamai and Chaweng. Not available on Fishermans Beach/Bophut I think.
Plenty of topics around about them, just use the search feature at the top of the page. Be careful!!!
There are a couple on bo phut beach, but not as many as chaweng. They tend to hang out around the middle of the beach area, close to Hansar and the other big hotels. And yes definately use the search function to see experiences of a few others that thought it might be fun!

i cant reach her on the phone either and was not picked up for the run i booked this morning.....anyone know whats going on????
I heard she has left Thailand. Maybe just a rumour but does seem to be fitting into place if not answering phone or picking up for visa runs.

Thanks forall the suggestions will have a look round later.

Does anyone know a bakery, cake shop or similar that can make birthday cakes for children? I've tried S&P but they need 2 weeks and I need it sooner!

If you mean Julie's visa service on Samui I heard a rumour that she is no longer on the island.
-
There is a short cut, turning off the 44 onto the old road rather than going to the end of the 44.
If you go to google maps and get directions from Samui to Phuket it comes up with the route showing the shortcut.

A couple of other great "English" breakfast places which are well worth a try in Bangrak are Bangrak Cafe (a couple of doors down from Cafe Uno) and Petcherat Marina. Petcherat Marina also does the best burgers I have had on the island too.

Sirisin has Garmin GPS but you will need to download US maps.

You could try Sunsail in the Fishermans Village. They have boats for charter and could probably provide some instruction but as said before it depends how much you want to pay.

Three bedrooms worth of stuff? My advise is to sell all of your items that you don't REALLY need.
If I were to move to Thailand, which I plan to do in the future, I would bring my laptop and a small napsack.
But you live with your parents and don't actually have any 'stuff' do you?
And also were planning to sleep in the back of some seedy girly bar, I think the OP has slightly higher expectations.

I would have thougt you should be ok with just a copy. Vehicles bought on finance for example dont get the book till its paid off yet still tax the vehicle every year.

Weather should be fine. You may get the odd shower but nothing that should cause much of a problem. In fact the worst downpour will probably be because its Songkran! Koh Chang does not have problems with air quality at any time of the year.

Emmmmm...Budgie Smuggleers with a patatao or a sock in it.
Compared to Phuket or Pattaya, the is absolutely no comparison, in favor the KC.

Can you give us any details of your boat?
-
Closest Tesco, BigC, Robinsons, Tops, Chanthaburi
Closest Villa, Pattaya or Bangkok
Closest Home Pro and Global, Rayong
Trat has a Bangkok Hospital though.
Actually closest Tesco is Trat with quite well substantiated rumours that a tesco express will be on the island soon

Many hotels on Koh Chang will do monthly rentals especially now its getting close to low season. Maybe easier to start there for a month then look around. Decent quality long term rentals are not easy to find.

Yes very easy. Minibuses at a ridiculous fee aranged at the arrival gate will take you to the ferry terminal. There is no choice at the airport. 470 baht ( i think) including ferry from airport to Koh Chang. Then of course you are at the mercy of the local transport system unless you have agreed to pay the airport bus to take you on to where you need to go.

"Businesses still don't separate waste well. Most of the businesses' employees are Cambodians who frequently change jobs. When new employees start working, they don't know how to segregate the waste," Thapanik said. "A lack of public awareness among the tourists is a factor too."
Classic, its the Cambodians and the tourists making a mess. We have never seen any Thai people dropping litter anywhere have we?
