Been back in UK for a few years now, but will return to Thailand soon..................My question really to the forum is................can you while residing in the Kingdom, apply from Thailand yourself for a new passport in HK easily, without the use of any agents.........?
No, the HKG option ended when the UKPA opened their facilty with VFS.
You don't need to use an agent to deal with VFS, most people don't, but using an agent can be cost effective if you don't live near an Application Centre.
Some people apply online and use a UK address, and get the resident of that address to post the passport here, whilst doing so is not legal, some claim it does work, but it is risky.

Maybe I'm outa touch, but with all this 'agent chat'........................ if residing in the Kingdom, can you not just send off an application to the UK embassy in BKK anymore?
It's been many years since the UK Embassy here were involved in the renewal of passports, I last renewed mine in 2013 and that was done via Hong Kong.

The jist of the OP's question is regarding a return to Thailand, so I'll move the post to the Thailand forum.

Key Visa continues to be the only strongly & consistently recommended UK Passport Renewal Agency on various recent topics on this forum. Indicates they can be fully trusted in all respects.
It's probably fair to note that there are a few agencies who offer an excellent service for the renewal of UK Passports in Pattaya and around the Kingdom.
Key Visa certainly receives a number of recommendations for their passport renewal service, and probably rightly so, but they are most certainly not the only agency who carry out this service effectively.

In my time here I’ve rented three condos and a house, two condos from Thais via an agent, a house from a Thai and the other condo from a foreigner, on each and every occasion our deposit was returned in full and promptly.

This thread has nothing to do with Visas to countries other than Thailand, I'll move it to a more appropriate Forum.

You're asking this question in the wrong forum, as you're asking about your Thai Immigration status, I'll move your question to the Thai Immigration Forum.
-
If your travelling to the UK from Thailand you are considered to be full vaccinated if you can show proof of the vaccination.
If travelling to England from Thailand a vaccination certificate is all that's required, Scotland and Wales don't specify what evidence is required.

What I read elsewhere (not sure if it's accurate or up-to-date) was that the same airports bus operator was then offering van rides from HH airport into town. What I read said, you could get a free ride if you just wanted to go from HH Airport to the clocktower area... Or, you could tell them what hotel you're staying at, and the van would deliver you direct to your own hotel for something like a 100 to 150 baht fee...
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any mention at all, that I could find, on the airports bus operator's website relating to any kind of onward van service running from HH Airport....
Haven't been on that bus for a while, it's only just started running again and only once a day, but when we did use it regularly the conductress would ask passengers if they wanted onward travel, and a minbus would be waiting for them on arrival, I think they were 100 - 150 a person depending on where you wanted to travel.
Now there's only one bus a day, and very few airport arrivals, I don't know how they would operate.
There is another bus that runs from Ekkamai, mini or micro, and maybe one from the Southern Bus Terminal, I think the Ekkami bus drops off at Market Village, which is pretty central, and I'm pretty sure the other bus drops off at the bus terminal nearby, there's another pitch between the two.
Grab works fine.

I remember having a similar conversation with a previous Foreign Secretary, though I mentioned frozen pensions and he smiled and walked away.
I can't remember his name, he was a very personable chap.- 3

He has to get divorced before he can remarry!
Nobody has said otherwise.
The OP hasn't said that he wants to marry his girlfriend, and as has has been correctly pointed out by a couple of posters, not being married would not prevent the OP's girlfriends from obtaining her visa, and nether would the fact the OP is already married, but seperated.

You've posted this question about your visa application in the banking section, let's move it to the Thailand Visa thread where you're likely to get more help.

As your question is really about your return to Thailand, rather to your trip to the US, I’ll move your question to the Thailand Forum.

No real problem with your girlfriend obtaining a settlement visa as I assume you can provide evidence that you’ve been living together in a relationship akin to marriage for the specified period, and can meet the financial and accommodation requirements, and she can pass an English test and show she’s clear of TB.
Marriage is really up to you both, it wouldn’t harm her application if you were not married, or enhance it if you were.
Her daughter would face more of a problem, it’s not impossible but can be more difficult, I’m sure people who’ve attempted this route will share their experiences.

As you're asking about Thailand, I'll move you're question to the appropriate forum.

I think you will go through immigration at Paris, Paris to AMS will be an EU domestic flight.
Your bags should be checked through to AMS so customs will be there following baggage reclaim.
I think you’re right, though we didn’t have to when flew to AMS via CDG. -

Only if you have no checked in baggage or bags not checked through.
A couple of years ago I went BKK - Doha - Paris - Manchester(don't ask).
I cleared immigration in Paris, went from one terminal to another and back again.(don't ask)
As the UK wasn’t part of Schengen and you had to enter the Schengen Area to retrieve your luggage, then yes, you would have needed, should have needed, to clear Immigration in Paris to retrieve your luggage and recheck them. The same could happen to the OP if his bags are not checked through, though then he shouldn’t need to clear Immigration in Amsterdam as he’s traveling within the Schengen Area.

When transiting in one of the schengen countries to another, you will go through immigration, then at the final destination you will go through customs.
No, you clear Immigration and customs when you enter the Schengen Area, ie not in transit, airside.Traveling from one member state to another there are no regular immigration or customs checks, that’s the whole idea of the Schengen Area.

Does that TX show as FTT and if so did he have to arrange anything specific with HSBC?
Sorry I don’t know if he gets that code, he uses the 800k bank deposit route, so he’ll not be too bothered.- 1

HSBC have their own branch on Rama 1V Rd in BKK also First Direct will not let you open an account if you are not resident in the UK. Need to get a UK resident to TX but it is unlikely to show as a FTT.
Whilst the HSBC have a branch on Rama IV domestic customers cannot open an account there or use any of the services. They closed all accounts there years ago.
A friend of mine sends his funds from his HSBC branch in the UK to his account with Bank of Ayudhya, the Rama IV branch act as an intermediary bank, receive and pass the funds on, and charge a fee for their trouble, Bank of Ayudhya charge a fee to receive the cash.

Travel rules and Covid Vaccine Certificate recognition for UK or NHS integration
in Visas and migration to other countries
Posted
The UK guidance clarifies the requirements pretty well when it says:
You must be able to prove that you’ve been fully vaccinated under a vaccination programme with approved proof of certification.
If you were vaccinated in another country or territory, the table below gives examples of what you can use as proof of vaccination.
Vaccine certificates only
If the table below says you can use a ‘Vaccine certificate’ as proof of vaccination, the following rules apply. The vaccine certificate must be issued by a national or state-level public health authority, be in English, French or Spanish, and include as a minimum:
* your forename and surname(s)
* your date of birth
* vaccine brand and manufacturer
* date of vaccination for every dose
* country or territory of vaccination and/or certificate issuer
In respect of arrivals from Thailand it simply states "vaccine certificate", the International Vaccine Certificate isn't mentioned and neither is the App, just the vaccine certificate.
