You can apply up to 3 months before the intended date of travel - and that will be the visa start date. That then becomes the earliest date on which the applicant can arrive in the UK.
For the last year or so the UKVI have been dating the visa from the intended date of travel in the application though the maximum three months in advance rule still applies, it initially caught a few people out, I don't know if it's still policy.

What a selfish man you are mocking vulnerable Brits who are still unvaccinated while you and your wife are vaccinated. Many of us live a lot further away from Bangkok than the 200km you do in Hua Hin. ☹️
Nobody's mocking you, or anybody else, so your insults are unwarranted. Many people, like myself of a certain age and with serious health conditions, appreciate the need to travel distances to get vaccinated, and are prepared to do so, be it 200, 400 or even like the guy we were talking to today from Udon Thani, in excess of 800 Kms, and all credit to him, and I suspect many would do the same.

Amazing! There are still many Brits out there in the provinces who haven't been vaccinated yet.
Amazing! There were a number of Brits at the Vaccination Centre where my wife got her vaccine today, some of whom came from our neck of the woods, “out there in the provinces”. -

(It's not for me, as I'm vaccinated, but for my wife).
Have you tried the BCCT, my wife and I are currently in Bangkok for my wifes appointment for a AZ vaccination this afternoon, sourced via them.

You will learn a lot!
A lawyer friend of mine says a copy of that book should be handed to every single male traveller arriving in Thailand.

I did write a section on it in another thread but I can't find it now - the search facility doesn't seem to be great on here & I've tried google to update that thread but can't find it. Maybe the @oldgit has more experience re the search facility.
Was it this one? https://aseannow.com/topic/1213602-irish-passport/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-16506851

As a Man of Kent I was weaned on Shepherd Neame, but then spent much of my life in West London, where Fuller's became my regular tipple, although I've yet to find it here. A couple of years ago, Makro in Hua Hin had bottles of Fuller's Pride at B110. I bought just four, in case it was old stock or counterfeit, but when I realised it was the real deal (or as real as you can get in a bottle) I went back for more,. Naturally they had sold out!
Is this what you meant, Villa Hua Hin, B215 now though.-

Go to Blue Port Mall (Basement level), All banks are there also Immigration Office
The Immigration Office in the basement of BluPort is closed until at least the end of August, and in any case doesn't extend stays.
Kasikorn Bank in the basement is open from Monday to Friday, though maybe not until at least 10.00, maybe even 11.00.

The delights coming out of Wadworth's and Ringwood Brewery are sadly missed out here ????
I really miss my Shepherd Neame beer from Kent, especially Bishops Finger available in Sainsbury at £1.20 but I've never seen here, used to see Spitfire in Villa and Gourmet but have seen for some years.
I occasionally treat myself to a bottle or two of London Pride at £4.75, as opposed to £5.50 for a four pack back in the UK.
I've had Old Speckled Hen on draft in the British Club and in a bar in Udon Thani, quite partial to that, but only occasionally available in cans here in Hua Hin.

Bangrak hospital, is that in Chiang Mai near the British Consulate?
No, as the OP says it's in Bangkok, on South Sathorn Road near the building that houses the new British Embassy.

They've been offering Brits a jab for sometime, they’re now expanding the criteria, they’ve offered my Thai wife an appointment for next week.I have to say I’m very impressed with them.

Are they not debit cards? Either way, if you show a virtual card, why would it be any less valid than a virtual boarding pass?
Most airline staff, thankfully are not as obtuse as the seat-warmers who refer to themselves as "the authorities".
You can’t show a virtual card, there’s nothing to show. -

No mention of which vaccine it will be....is it the Chinese vaccine or one that actually does something at least partially useful?

I've never been asked for this and travel regularly.
I also travel fairly regularly and have been asked to produce the card used for booking a number of times, you must have an honest face.

I understand that if a ticket is purchased via a travel agent rather than online, then there's no need to present a card at check-in.

What if your card is a virtual one? Like Kasikorn Visa K-Web shopping card for example.
A number of airlines specifically exclude the use of virtual cards to book a ticket online.

Is there somewhere I can print off the application form for a visit visa so I know what they are going to ask for on the online application and have everything on hand before I start, thanks.
I don't think there is an application form online, maybe set up an account with a throwaway email address and use that account to fill out the application form, and print it off.
Even filling out the application without doing that isn't too hard, as you save the application at any time, and correct any errors.

Certainly that the site I used, it worked fine for me, but for some reason only after I'd turned my VPN off.

At least there's food on the shelves here, unlike parts of the UK (apparently)

Just the opposite here, with some farmers not being able to send their fruit and veg overseas the prices here have dropped in markets and at the roadsides, maybe not in Makro.
We got 3 kgs of potatoes delivered from a local farmer for 100 Baht yesterday, some were small potatoes reminiscent of new potatoes, had some last night and they were absolutely delicious.
Probably going to skip Makro for a while.

Driving in Great Britain on a non-GB licence
You can drive any type of small vehicle (for example cars or motorcycles) listed on your full and valid licence for 12 months from when you last entered Great Britain (GB)

If a Brit gets 2 AZ jabs in Bangkok, does he still self isolate for 10 days in UK?
in COVID-19 Coronavirus

We are considering that one, is this the same one?
