  1. I was looking during the week, Thai have very limited flights from Bangkok, but we were seriously considering Singapore or Finnair.

As you say if you fly via the UAE you would have to quarantine at your own expense at a hotel, any non Brits who may be traveling with you wouldn’t be allowed into the UK if they intended to travel via a red list country.

There are rumors circulating that Thailand might be raised to a red zone, but that is just a rumor.

Should you qualify for Immigration Detention, rooms in Immigration Removal Centres are free. ????

Bumrungrad International Hospital is one of the private hospitals supporting the Royal Thai Government by administering COVID-19 vaccination to hospital patients, people over 60 years of age, and people with 7 pre-existing conditions (severe respiratory and cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and obesity) who have registered through the Mor Prom application.

This line in their conditions might be an issue for most expats

"2. Register for COVID-19 vaccination by showing your Thai ID card and the hospital appointment form or the appointment information on the Mor Prom Application."

Pensions paid to people living here are not eligible for the annual increase

That statement is only partially correct, whilst the the UK State Pension is not increased in line with inflation for those living in some countries, including Thailand, the rules for other pensioners may well allow pensions to be increased globally in line with inflation.

For instance, I’ve receive annual increases on my Civil Service Pension, and have done so before you moved to Thailand over twelve years ago.

I mention this as the OP is in receipt of a small Civil Service Pension, and maybe concerned by your response.

Hi ubonjoe, where did you move it to?

    It's moved to here.

Your Personal Allowance will be reduced by the amount of your State Pension, and taxed by MyCSP.

I'm not sure how Canada Life will tax you, is it an annuity, is it from the UK?

I suspect they'll tax you at the emergency rate, ie on all of it, and then you'll have to reclaim any overpayment, but that's really an (un)educated guess.

There you should enter your ID number which is in a yellow book or a pink ID!
As you told you have 6 and many 0's mean this is not a legitimate number. Therefore you can't check. I would guess something went wrong.

As I said there was an ID Number printed on my appointment slip, I presume that's a number the hospital generated.
When I used it I received a reply saying I'm registered, albeit without confirming that the actual  vaccination date I'd been given back in May would actually go ahead, at least I know I'm in the system.
