Exam Contradicts Previous Hiatal Hernia Diagnoses
It doesn't sound crazy at all. When laying on the left side, the esophagus is positioned above the stomach, allowing gravity to help keep stomach acid from flowing back up.

Grab Targets Thailand's Expats with New Perks and Features
I tried to register to Grab Pay Wallet a long time ago, but found that it was not available to foreigners, since a Thai ID-card was required to register. The same issue seems to exist, in their Pay Later option.

Motorbike Showdown: Delivery Rider's Narrow Escape in Pattaya
I guess that most thais would agree, that it's ok to pull out in front of another vehicle, as long as you are using the turn signal. At least that's my experience of daily driving in Thailand.

Thailand’s Tourism Confidence Dips Amid Economic Challenges
In 2024 tourists had plenty of money saved after being locked down for several years and were longing to be able to travel again. Airlines, hotel and tour operators immediately reacted, by increasing prices to a higher level than ever seen before, expecting that the sudden influx of foreign tourists would continue forever. This combined with a strong Baht, what could possibly go wrong?

Duty-Free Giant King Power Closes Shops in Bangkok and Pattaya
So it actually do matter, from which countries AOT tries to attract travellers to Thailand. I wonder if they are now missing the tourists from Europa and America, who they chose not to care about.

Rising Costs Threaten Thailand's Once-Thriving Restaurant Scene
The restaurants catering to the missing Chinese tourists are the ones suffering, while restaurants serving indian or russian food are thriving.

Suvarnabhumi Airport to Introduce Prototype Indoor Smoking Rooms by End of July
Not funny at all. Today you have to walk through clouds of smelly smoke, when you walk from the taxi to the terminal, since the heavy smokers are standing right outside every entrance of the airport. I quit smoking 30 years ago and think that smoking should be banned in all public places.

Dubious Products Removed from Thai Online Shops
Lazada has the best customer service and most items can be returned, even if you just change your mind. I received an item that was broken and could be returned, even upon change of mind. I was about to travel, but still had time to print the label and go to the shop to return the product. However I received the message, that the seller would consider my return request and get back to me within 3 days. After I left to travel, the seller accepted my return request, but I had to return the item within 7 days, which would not be possible, since I would not be home by then. After I returned back home, I called Lazada and explained the problem. The customer service agent didn't even hesitate and swiftly extended the return date.

Thailand Delays Tourist Entry Fee Amid Travel Concerns
They did that already and called it exit tax, which would probably also include an entrance tax, but was only charged when you exit.

The taxi driver should have been arrested. It's a scam to charge 2,000 Baht for that ride.

Sunburn Nightmare: British Teen’s Thailand Trip Derailed by Sun
The water will reflect the rays of the sun, so if you are in or near the water, you will more easily get burned. On our last trip to Koh Samui, we took the very early morning flight, because it was several thousands of Baht cheaper than any of the later flights. We arrived in the hotel around 8 am and we knew that we couldn't check in that early, so after eating breakfast we decided to spend the next 4 hours resting on the beach in the shade of some trees. Since our sun protection was still in our suitcases, which we deposited in the reception, we didn't go out in the sun at all, but still my sensitive farang-skin got very red and painful, so I had to avoid the sun for the next few days. We will soon be travelling to Koh Samui on the very early morning flight again, but this time I will make sure to grab the sun protection from my suitcase, before heading to the beach chairs after breakfast 😀😀😀.

Are washer dryer combinations good?
Years ago when I was living in a small condo, I had a combined washer/dryer (condenser) from Electrolux. The washing part was great, but the drying was miserable and would take at least 3-4 hours for just half of the clothes to get dry. It was much faster to dry the clothes hanging on the balcony.

Ears cleaned using syringe etc
I used to go to the hospital every 1 or 2 years to get ear wax cleaned out of my ears. The last bill in my local private hospital was 1,600 Baht, which made me decide to buy an ear syringe and do it by myself. I fill the ear syringe with clean tempered water and do it during my shower, so it's easy to flush the ear wax down the drain. Ear syringes can be bought in the pharmacy or online for a few Baht, but before you start doing it, you better be 100% sure, that you don't have a different ear problem. The Hydrogen Peroxide solution didn't work for me, but if you should decide to try it, make sure that you do not use a stronger solution than 3%. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322725#summary
