  1. Interesting that you say Thai bureaucracies in the plural form. I know some require it for vehicle registration, I don't as I get them registered in my wife's name. I also believe they are needed by some when applying for a driving licence, although my local office accepts a letter from the local police. I guess these two examples would be singular as it is the same department. What other instances are there where you have been asked for one?
  2. Not sure I can apply for such a thing. Hang on, I'll check.........no I can't.
  3. I'd like to see the proof of that, without taking Covid19 and the war in Ukraine into account. That's the thing here. Remainers cannot actually show any true figures because of what else has gone on. To say the country is poorer and a joke solely because of Brexit is impossible. It will take a few more years to gauge the benefits/downside of leaving the EU.
  4. On the contrary. I think not. My daughter decided her future studies based on what she enjoyed, what could help her prosper in life, what would open the world up to her and what would enable her to move onwards and upwards. In that order. I don't recall her ever mentioning air conditioning.
  5. This, a perfect example of why unions don't work. A group of nations telling another nation how to run their business. Politically and economically, by blackmail. This is why the UK voted to leave.
  6. Johnson won a landslide victory in an election. You forgot to mention that. Why did he win? Because the opposition parties were faffing about with democracy. Labour wanted to do a deal, then another referendum, then a new deal.......................... LibDems wanted to cancel the whole thing. The electorate decided, overwhelmingly, what they wanted.
  7. I think you'll find Cameron voted Remain. May, half heartedly, and Boris, whole heartedly, ensured that democracy prevailed. If you wish to direct the blame correctly, it would be at the 52% of those who voted who voted Leave.
  8. So, you are trying to disprove facts with an impossible situation. Interesting.
  9. How about when you tried to squirm yourself out of a whole by admitting to "exaggerating" and then toning down your views to try to back up your error? That's the first one.
  10. Indeed it was, whilst under pressure to do so. Cameron's only problem was to fail to understand the public's views.
  11. The government held a referendum. There was a majority vote, by the people, for Brexit. It was not the government's decision.
  12. Surely you mean the "leader" of the country. Wouldn't that be the monarch?
  13. Oh, but I have countered but it is difficult to get across when some suffer from reading difficulties and can only see the bits they want to see and change their own comments like the wind.
  14. My comment was one based on economics, not politics. Unions simply don't work. They would have a slim chance if all members were on an even keel, had the same economic views and strengths and all had something to offer. Sadly, this is never true. EU has shown this and ASEAN is showing it too.
  15. That is a sad, narrow minded outlook on one's future.
  16. You use the words "take" and "made". I'm guessing all of your quote figures are the monies received for products and not profits. What do you think the difference in %%% of profit is now compared to 3 years ago, assuming your wife has kept her prices constant.
  17. Tradition. Plus the Queen enjoyed the meetings. She said so herself.
  18. Weekly audiences with the PM would suggest otherwise That's funny. Even funnier is that you think those audiences are nothing more than tradition. I'd like you to share with us your experiences of the monarch over ruling any government decisions
  19. You were saying nothing of the sort. You are back tracking. Let's face it, thr monarchy never really use their constitutional powers anyway.
