Maybe it's better not to offer incorrect advice if you only think rather than know.....just my humble opinion of course

Your references should not be family members.
When I got married I used my two brothers as references on the Affirmation of Freedom to Marry

Hi ! For a 90 days report u can go where u want; If u are on holidays in Krabi, u go to Krabi Immigration . It's only for the renewal of your one year visa u must go to the immigration office of the province where u live.
Not neccessarly true. I can only comment on Kap Choeng and Korat immigration in that they require you to report to your respective offices. But Kap Choeng now accepts report by post which must contain a return envelope with your registered address upon it.
I live in Buriram and have to do my extension @ Kap Choeng, but I do my 90 day reports @ Korat because Kap Choeng is a 250Km round trip & Korat is a 120Km round trip...

I live 5 klms from a district boundary , so instead of driving to my nearest immi office. 80klm round trip , i have to drive to my district immi office , a 250 klm round trip.
Similar situation as me, as I live about 10 Km from the boundary, I live in Buriram and my district office is a 250Km round trip BUT I do my 90 day reports @ Korat Immigration which in only 120Km round trip....I only visit my district office once a year to renew my extension of stay. Most of the farangs who live near me do the same....

The 30 day "under consideration" happens every time you apply for a marriage extension

Curious to know how the OP supported himself in those 4 years without working
Of course, the emoji accompanying (with a whistling face looking upward) is to imply that he is working illegally in Thailand. I get more than tired of this automatic assumption, particularly when it's not another person's business.
I have enough funds from outside Thailand to support myself, for example: I get music royalties. And I go to EU to play concerts several months out of each year. There's nothing illegal about it. It just doesn't seem to be what you would imagine. I've lived here for years, and have never had to or wanted to work in Thailand. I'm certainly not fabulously wealthy, either. Sometimes a month can be difficult, other times are not.
Enough with the accusations. Please.
Well said mate.....

I have always had to show proof of address (copies of house masters ID card & Tabbien bahn) when renewing my 1 year extension of stay based on both marriage & retirement.
Never had to show proof of address for 90 day report at Korat & Buriram immigration offices. All that is needed is my passport for 90 day report.

OP: Glad you have got your problems sorted out.....

I did it on the second entry of my first ever Multi Non-O after I got sick of border trips, but I got a one year extension rather than the 60 day one and never used the multi Non-o again.

OK Fair enough AYJAYDEE, I stand corrected again.
My Thai language reading skills are non existent at the moment...which I intend to rectify

OK AJD, I stand corrected
Update:
Just had a look at the TM28 and it says
FORM FOR ALIENS TO NOTIFY THEIR CHANGE OF ADDRESS
OR THEIR STAY IN THE PROVINCE FOR OVER 24 HOURSNot arguing, just saying what the form saysAlso it says change of address and not change of province -
You are responsible for reporting your own address via a TM28 according to existing rules which up until now have been rarely enforced....
This is completely separate from your address on your arrival card, or your hotel provider / housemaster report (TM30) or your (TM47) 90 day report if on an extension of stay....

I thought it was a loophole by the agents 'lending' the money (800k) to meet the requirements //
It seemed to be a grey area and //
How could it be "grey" when they got the visa in 1 day and the requirement is to have this money on your account during at least 2 months? In the present case you don't even need a bank account. They probably pay someone in a bank to get a "true bank attestation with false data"...If they go by monthly income of +65,000 there is no seasoning requirement afaik.
I guess the IO verifies this either by income statement or is own judgement.
If you fulfill the 65000 per month baht requirements then you can do it yourself and don't need an "agent"

I've never filled out a TM28 and our lass has never filled out a TM30 (as a housemaster) for me living at her house in the last 5 years on my yearly extensions for both retirement & marriage , but with the recent enforcement of existing rules we will be complying from now on. Plus whenever I leave my home province for whatever reason I always carry my passport for my convenience To me it's no big deal....

It was always going to be a hard game based on Soton's current form...looks like the bubble has burst...still it could have been worse..we could have been playing a local team.....
