Motorcycle tyres - any advice please (bad roads)
jchfriis replied to Martinpeter's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
The pressure goes up of course. Therefore when I fill up warm tyres with 2 psi more than recommended I compensate for that. For cold tyres I follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. But I’ve never managed to get to a petrol station with cold tyres in Thailand. -
Motorcycle tyres - any advice please (bad roads)
jchfriis replied to Martinpeter's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
This sounds correct to me. Everybody should know that it only takes 3 km for the tyres to get warm. Therefore I always give mine (both car and mc) 2 psi more than recommended by the manufacturer as those recommendations are for cold tyres. -
I play Gassan Legacy and Gassan Panorama regularly. Legacy is the best of the two. Panorama is a bit boring Haven't played Gassan Kunthan in a while, but I love the course. Haripunchai is the cheapest of them all and it's always in good nick. The only problem is that it's a 9 hole course so you may be unlucky and get behind an 8-ball (only in Thailand ☹️). Then there is Alpine. Great course, but expensive.

I live in Chiang Mai and not too far away from the DLT office. Every time I need to renew my licenses I drop by the DLT office, go to the information desk and they give me a check list with all I need for renewal. If practical for you I suggest that is the best way to get the information you need.

Accident Myanmar Worker Killed at Rama 2 Construction Site
jchfriis replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
Is there statistics of how many people have died on the Rama 2 project? I know this is Thailand, but I still find it amazing that nothing is being done about it. -
Accident Thailand's Grim Motorcycle Death Toll Sparks Helmet Campaign

I was just gonna say that the authorities should take a trip to Vietnam and get the blueprints from them about how to solve this problem. -

Report Drama at Wat Pho: General Prawit’s Stairfall Sparks Concern
jchfriis replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Walking without shoes is a problem if you don't take your socks off. Walking with socks on is like walking with leather sole shoes on ice. I almost broke my back walking down the stairs with socks on. I was lucky, but from then on it's either barefoot or shoes on for me. -
Accident Rama 2 Strikes Again! Falling Concrete Smashes Woman’s Car Window

Just put up a SAFETY FIRST poster. That will take care of it. 😜 -
Good choice. I’m a big fan of Sripat. (Had and operation there). Most of their doctors teach at CM University so you should be in good hands. To your present problem, I’ve had the same symptoms as you describe. My solution was to do the Glute Bridge excercise. That really makes your glutes work and strengthen. In less than a week the pain was gone. Since I don’t know what caused my pain and you still don’t know what causes yours, this exercise may work or not. Worth a try?

I very much doubt that would happen. Remember all the dead and missing were just lower class workers. Who cares about them? Hope I'm wrong! -

Report Nestlé Brews Up Battle in Thai Coffee Market Amid Legal Dispute
jchfriis replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Absolutely agree. Nestle don't make coffee. They make an Instant/freeze-dried drink that they call coffee. If you don't want the hassle of making real coffee the dutch company Douwe Egberts make a much better alternative called Moccona. -
There is also the Buy and Sell Marketplace here on Aseannow.
