Russian Plot to Murder Head of Europes Largest Arms Manufacturer
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It is very likely that Russian sponsored state terrorism happens on a daily basis, this is no surprise, this is just who and what they are. Putin is an incredibly dangerous man. -

Alec Baldwin's Manslaughter Case Dismissed by Judge
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It would appear that the only negligence involved in this case was on the part of the prosecutor, so perhaps they should go to jail. It's always fun to see a negligent lawyer locked up, though it rarely happens. This case had a very fishy smell even from the beginning. -
Thai woman wins 9 million baht from UK bet
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Elsewhere in the world a small bet of $1 can yield anywhere from 9 million baht to $100 million in the case of lotteries in the US. Here in Thailand 100 baht lotto only pays relatively small amounts. If I won or my wife won, the last thing in the world I would do is post it online or let anybody know about it.- 178 replies

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Apologizes Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I do think he's very intelligent, and I do think he has something to say, but there's two issues with him that I have. Number one I think he's a little bit unhinged mentally, and number two he would need to fix his voice. From what I understand two minor Botox treatments is all that he would need to correct the throat ailment that he has, at least temporarily. His voice would be absolutely normal, but he's so ideological he absolutely refuses to do that. I cannot listen to him for even 2 minutes with that voice of his, so that I think is a very big consideration in terms of electability. -
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Apologizes Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

This guy is just plain nuts. Not your typical Kennedy. He seems to be missing some elements in his brain. -
Not only is it the sex capital of Thailand, it is arguably the sex capital of the planet. If you can tell me a place that beats Pattaya for a single guy looking for some action, I would be very curious to know. A long time ago Angeles City used to be right up there, but it has declined dramatically, so has Phuket, so has Samui, and for that matter so has Bangkok. One can still get good action in Bangkok, but not as good as before, unless you're willing to spend big money. You don't have to spend big money in PTown, as it is a very competitive environment for the women, that's for sure.

So very true, I have a friend from California who in the 20 years I've known him has never been on a date, and has never had a girlfriend. A bit of a mama's boy. He comes to Thailand once or twice a year and he goes directly to Pattaya, and spends at least a week there having major fun with countless women. He's very adept at that scene (not that it requires much skill!), however back in the real world he's completely dysfunctional when it comes to women. I have no idea if he's somewhere on the spectrum, or if he's just extremely shy and lacks confidence, or if he makes an effort and women just do not respond to him, but he certainly has found his go-to place. So have countless other men. Not knocking it. It has a place and serves a purpose.

Finance Ministry Pushes 99-Year Leases for Foreigners
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I agree and I understand the concept of at least wanting to break even, but there are market realities, and I suspect you're right. There will come a time when these guys decide something is better than nothing, and something is better than bankruptcy, rather than following the Chinese lead and allowing things to just completely fall off the cliff. People just don't understand how much trouble China is in, how precarious their economy is, and how enormous both their internal and their external debt load is. I am hoping the CCP falls like a ton of bricks. -
13 year old Thai boy dies after ketamine injection by his friends
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
As a kid I remember being very easily influenced by my friends. I really wanted to be accepted and I did a lot of foolish things and committed a lot of crime under the influence of my friends. It's too bad this kid made a fatal error in judgment by allowing his friends to submit him to this horror. -
The nation has already waived any requirements for Russians, so they might as well waive them for everyone else. They couldn't really do worse than inviting in an unlimited number of Russians, knowing that a huge percentage of them who can afford to travel are involved in crime, and that they will continue their criminal activities here, and likely degrade the nation in the process. It is a spectacularly huge error in judgment to not carefully screen every single Russian that arrives.

The sad truth is that I would take Harris over Trump, but that's not saying much. I don't like her and I think very few people like her, they just simply see her as a viable alternative to Trump. I think the party can do a lot better and I think it as stated in a New York Times recent editorial it is likely that the $90 million the party currently has could simply be transferred to the DNC, which could then aid the party in an election success. I think there are multiple governors that would be viable candidates.

Thai investors flee Myanmar chaos, pulling out 253 billion baht
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Excellent news. The elss support the better. These leaders in Burma are total bankrupt, morally. The Burmese army is a den of thieves, drug dealers, gem smugglers, human traffickers, serial killers, vote stealers and despot thugs. Billionaires raping the public. General Min Aung Hlaing is the top pig. He says the military will hold an election and hand over power to the winning party. Right. Can't handle the loss, you wimp? “Action must be taken according to the law with effective steps against offences which disturb, prevent and destroy the state’s stability, public safety and the rule of law,” said a statement read by an announcer on state-run MRTV. Total nonsense. They are making up this crap as they go. The generals previously justified their takeover on the grounds of election fraud, promising to hold new elections. Now, they lost by huge margins. The people said enough. “Hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have been protesting about the coup and Min Aung Hlaing’s response astoundingly seemed to blame the democratically elected government of not being appropriately committed to democracy as one cause for the coup,” Lee said. Funny man. Desperate and weak too. “He then suggested that the economic environment for investment would be good under the military. Well, if you call billionaire generals good for the economy, well it is at least good for a few hundred idiotic, and ridiculously corrupt and morally bankrupt generals, anyway. When the Burmese army says they are uninterested in politics, that is total BS. They are power hungry thugs. Utter animalsand despots. The billionaire generals are thieves, robbing the people of their gems, their timber, their minerals and selling heroin for the sake of amassing wealth. And supported by extremist Buddhist monks against the minorities. Broken men. With their recent overthrow, they have self revoked the right to consume oxygen. May the #myanmaryouth prevail! May the dinosaurs be pushed out. They are a terrorist army. Hooray to the Burmese people, for their ralesistsnce, may they bring utter misery to the junta, and the thieves that are controlling Burma, stealing their treasure, and inflicting misery on their people. Shame on the morally bankrupt officials and Thai military, for granting that foul, horrific, toxic, obnoxious military, permission to fly over Thai airspace to rescue their ill-gotten billions.- 7 replies

200 Senators Report For Duty Amid Election Controversy
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wonder how many of those spectacularly corrupt, morally bankrupt army appointed crony senators are back in their seats? We do know that the army's behind this current administration, it's quite obvious that Thaksin sold out his party in order to return to Thailand, and who knows how much control the army has at this point? One thing we do know for sure, is the selection process was not fair, the selection was highly corrupt, the EC is corrupt, and it's likely business as usual for the army, which is likely the most useless and greedy organization within the nation. -
2025 Honda PCX/ADV 175cc Info required
spidermike007 replied to tigerbalm's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
A 150 or a 160 is a great sized bike for around town, but why shouldn't Honda upgrade to a 175? In my opinion the ADV is a really great bike, why not upgrade from a 160 to 175? It makes total sense, I hope they're going to be available here. I bought a new ADV160 for my woman and it's a delightful bike to drive. -
There's so much nonsense in the world right now, and there are so many blazing fools that simply do not know when to keep their mouths shut. These people know where they live, they know what place is all about, they have other options if they find the industry so offensive. I think a lot of these people just like to pretend to be puritans, and pretend to be very moral and very pure, and they just love to rant. Granted some of us like to rant too, but we're not out in the streets trying to distort a reality. That is just what Pattaya is, it is one of the world capitals of the sex industry, it's just that simple. Accept it, it's part of the city that you live in, it's one element of where you live, it may not be your lifestyle, you may not have anything to do with it, you may not profit from it, but this is where you've chosen to live. Deal with it, man up, be a person with a reasonable mind, instead of a blazing nincompoop. It's your choice.

China is a bully, which does not possess one nanogram of moral integrity. It is all about money and power for them. They cannot and should not lecture any nation. Their record is abysmal. Let us hope their power and influence continues to wane, and their economy drops off the face of the earth, with staggering internal and external debt. Woe would be the world if they truly became a world leader. Xi and the CCP are monsters.

Finance Ministry Pushes 99-Year Leases for Foreigners
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Best solution is to lower prices. Greedy developers, who were too lazy to do any market research, before building. The numbers are likely far higher. The economy is sluggish, and the correction has not even come yet. If you are thinking of buying, just wait -
'High net-worth' individuals..
spidermike007 replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That has not been the case with most of the very rich people I have known. They are smart with their money, and don't like getting over charged. -
I would advocate that kind of screening for any Russian national visiting Thailand. They deserve special scrutiny. Their homeland is a cesspool of crime. Much of it highly organized. Russians tell me 90% of their people earning over $70,000 a year, are involved in crime. That is likely the threshold which one needs, for extended international travel. So, who is coming here from Russia? Mostly criminals.

In the US I get decent red wines for $15, good ones for $20, and outstanding wines for $30-50 a bottle. Here those same bottles are 300 to 400% higher. So, it tends to be a ridiculous exercise to chase good bottles here. I recently bought a good Chianti reserva, of a nice vintage, for 1,300. It is a good wine, and does not disappoint. But, for that same amount of money in California, I would be drinking a truly inspiring wine. Or buying a nice bottle of tequila. I often spend 1,000 to 1,500 on a bottle here that ends up being disappointing. And that is after I have researched the bottle. Storage here is an issue, as a good bottle can turn in as little as two weeks, if not stored in a cool enough environment. And getting a refund on a bad bottle is about as difficult as getting a refund on anything here. Some regressive nimwits politicians do not understand basic economics. By reducing taxes you stimulate the economy. In addition, if Thailand reduces its punitive wine taxes and luxury taxes, they might be able to attract more of those rich tourists they keep droning on and on and on about. The rich are smart with their money. And not only do they enjoy a nice bottle of wine with dinner, their wives also love to spend alot of money on luxury goods while they vacation. Impossible here. Who would buy a Prada handbag for $11,700 here, when you can get it for $4,800 in most world capitals? Same goes for wine. Who would spend $700 for a bottle of wine they could get for $125 at home. -
Adam Schiff Advocates Cognitive Tests for Biden and Trump
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Just because it is not in the constitution does not mean he is unfit, nor does it mean a convicted felon should not serve as president. How could these men who wrote it predict something as dark as a Trump? The framers of the constitution were vastly over rated men. Some were well intentioned, but many were deeply flawed.
