  1. And from your point of view that's not the case with the GOP and Trump? Really?
  2. Have you heard some of Vance's rants? He wants to light up the Middle East. It will result in decades of warfare and blowback. Trump is dangerous. Biden has supported Israel, but Trump would be an obedient lapdog.
  3. I really don't like her much because of her history when I lived in California, as district attorney and attorney general, but there's no question that she beats Trump by at least 50 points on the IQ scale, and she will dissect him like a coroner in a debate.
  4. The political simpletons like JD Vance who advocate all out war to solve a problem, don't have enough vision to understand the concept of blowback, and to realize that if Israel were to escalate the massacre, it would simply lead to decades upon decades of blowback, and significantly increased levels of terrorism in the region.
  5. Well one can argue that any politician at the national level, nearly anywhere in the world is a crook and a liar. So it's not as if Trump would be an exception to the rule, the difference being that he takes it to a whole different level, in that he spent his entire career using crime, theft, and scams to become very wealthy. It is far easier in this life to become wealthy if you abandon all sense of truth, righteousness, and morality. Which is what Trump has done.
  6. I think we have to at least try to make an effort to maintain some standards when it comes to ideas about posts on this forum. This is certainly one of the most trite and silly that I've seen in quite some time, and the real question that comes to mind is why would anyone want to be friendly with someone who was intolerant of someone who didn't drink black coffee? Ask yourself that. Intolerance of habits of friends is so uppealing.
  7. Not even close. She is in the top 17 million, maybe. Camila Morrone, maybe. Emily Ratajkowski, Jung Ho-yeon, Sila Turkoglu, Deepika Padukone, Bae Suzy, so many others. We must maintain strict standards, or else it means nothing. Those who cite women like Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Watson, Scarlette Johansson, Zendaya, Taylor Swift, Anjelina Jolie, Gal Gadot, etc. are using loose standards. They may be appealing, but most beautiful? Please.
  8. It feels like instead of actually thinking through policy, and coming up with ways to improve Thailand and move Thailand forward, they always seem to revert to this ridiculously silly hub concept that accomplishes absolutely nothing, because it never has any policy to back it up. It's just a juvenile thought, it's just an idea, it's just something to throw against the wall and see if it's sticks. Very very typical of Srettha, the do nothing PM.
  9. Though I think this is a terrible crime, the sentence seems to be over the top to a ridiculous degree. The real question is why aren't they arresting and sentencing government and army officials and other big wigs who are involved in human trafficking and the promotion of underage sex and sentencing those creeps? Above the law, are they?
  10. Two things come to mind, number one I think it is rather selective what is determined to be reckless driving, and number two I think that's the first time in nearly two decades that I've heard of anyone being cited for reckless driving, since the highway patrol absolutely refuses to do their work that never happens on the highway. Perhaps it happens in town occasionally with the local cops.
  11. Yes, absolutely he is semi senile at best, at least partly insane, incoherent, rambling, and the man cannot hold a train of thought for more than 15 seconds. In addition to that he cannot negotiate his way out of a paper bag, he was beaten by every world leader that he negotiated with in his last term, including Xi, Kim, Putin, MBS and others, and he wants to distance himself from the allies and relationships the US has spent a century building. All of this makes him perhaps the most dangerous man in the world. So, yes he should be questioned all the time.
  12. That is just who and what he is, he lies about everything, he deflects, he denies truth, and he abhors truth and morality. The problem is that his supporters do not hold him accountable for that, so he can get away with saying pretty much anything he wants. The media fact checks him, but then his supporters claim that the media is biased and wrong.
  13. Because we are foreigners and we are famous here for thinking too much. Sometimes I wish I could be like the average Thai, and just live my day, be in the present, and not overthink everything.
  14. Anyone investing any money here has to be conscious of the fact that these administrations are very inconsistent with policy, and policy is not based on conviction or vision, but rather on today's politics and the way the wind is blowing. If you look at the ganja decriminalization and the billions that have been invested in the industry, and then the turnaround and absolute betrayal on the part of the government, that's just another glaring example of how undependable these goons are.
  15. So, why the need for an autopsy? The cause of death seems pretty clear. Dumbness.
  16. Trump is utterly delusional. Justin Bieber has more influence over Putin than he does. He is owned by Vlad. Bought and paid for and no doubt highly compromised. Putin is a master at the art of Kompromat. He was beaten by Xi, in every negotiation they entered into. Same applies to MBS and Kim. This man loves to throw red meat to his crowd, and will say anything. He is never held responsible for his nonsense and his supporters never question his garbled and nearly incoherent tripe. Trump is likely the most dangerous man in the world.
  17. He needs to drop out of the race. What he is doing now is purely selfish. He cannot win. And in my opinion they should not run Harris. But they likely will, and Shapiro would make a good VP candidate on the ticket. Anyone but Trump!
  18. His convention speech was an absolute abomination, it was a pox on the face of articulation, and if it were being measured if it would have to go down as one of the worst speeches made so far this century. But his supporters don't seem to care, some have already acknowledged that he's a poor speaker, they've already acknowledged that he's rambles, that he's semi senile, and that he says anything that comes into his head. But, that does not seem to be an issue for most of his supporters. I partially blame the Democrats for putting forward such a weak candidate, but how anybody can support this numskull at this point is beyond me.
  19. Riffing while playing jazz is a wonderful and completely understandable tactic, improvising while driving is not only not advisable it's just not respectful of other drivers. There are certain rules that must be followed on the road in order to ensure our survival, and that of the masses. Some people don't seem to know that, and some people don't seem to know that their own lives are on the line, and the lives of their families.
  20. It is definitely not a wish, it's the last thing in the world I want to see happen, but it is a prediction if Trump gets back into office. I consider him to be a very dangerous man.
  21. There is no doubt that Thailand has been aiding and abetting the Burmese military for a long time, likely long before this current conflict started, and the election was stolen over there. And here. There are countless reports on Thailand aiding these heinous leaders in Burma and there's no doubt that fortunes are being made on the conflict. I would guess that foreign minister Maris Sangiampongsa is a liar and a stooge for the administration. No reason to think otherwise.
  22. Any sort of investigative journalism here is very rare and uncommon, and should be encouraged and praised. It is greatly needed and appreciated. Nitwits like this developer need to be ignored, scorned, humiliated, and called out. There's an awful lot of people here with very deep pockets who are morally bankrupt, and their God is the golden calf. Whetever is done to call them out and make their lives difficult is a wonderful thing, and a great sign of progress.
  23. Sorry to hear. Sounds dreadful. Many of us drive motorcycles or scooters here, and it is dangerous getting on the roads with some of these other drivers. Getting on a scooter, or a motorcycle anywhere in Thailand, much less Phuket, Phangan, Dark Tao, or Samui without a very good helmet, is like playing Russian Roulette with three or four bullets in the chamber. It is absolutely asking for problems. The degree of recklessness here is astounding. And many foreigners come here thinking "how much trouble could I get in on a little scooter, on a tropical island"? Well, the answer is alot. The amount of foreigners who are killed on the Southern islands is staggering. Most are not reported in the media. I had a friend who worked for Samui rescue for many years, and said the numbers were about 30-60 a month, on Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao. The official number is about 3 a month. Riders beware. Use as good a helmet as you can afford, and do not use these eggshells pieces of crap. They crack at the first impact, and what lies underneath them? Your skull, which is very delicate. I have been riding bikes for over 50 years. Without any serious accidents. A few minor ones over the years. Riding a bike here is very dangerous. If not the highest, one of the highest fatality rates in the world. And an accident here can be very costly, to your person. Just ask yourself- do I have enough problems already, without a broken skull, or smashed head, or face injury, or lost eye? I have three friends who have been in motorbike accidents on Samui within the last several years. One still cannot walk, or talk or function on her own, from a motorbike accident, where she hit her head on the pavement going only 20 kph. The other one has lost alot of his mental capacity after hitting his head. He insisted for years he would never wear a helmet. Now, he seems 15 years older. The third one is a close friend, who was hit by a sidecar, and nearly lost his leg. 11 operations later, he can walk, but with a limp, and the leg caused him constant problems, many years later.
  24. One thing we know for sure, he would be in absolute lock step with MBS and the Saudis and he would follow their every directive. He would be a very loyal subject and would show absolute fealty to them, just like he did in his last term.
  25. Thailand is facing so many headwinds right now, after 9 years of the Prayuth Decimation, with horrific economic policy and the economy on the skids. Now new car sales are down, used car sales are down, condo and home sales are down, consumer confidence is down, foreign investment is down, and manufacturing is down, so they would be utterly idiotic to allow the electricity rates to rise to at any significant level, anytime soon.
