  1. Yes a very good idea. I think it is foolish to think they don't exist. But, they do not presently target reptilian leaders. I wish they would. Start with Putin, Kim, MBS, Hun Sen, Than Shwe, Min Aung Hlaing Mzwati, Karamov, and a few others. Let's clean up the place.
  2. Well, it is extreme. I get being vegetarian, but not vegan. I don't eat meat, except for chicken. My moral code is that I don't want to eat anything I would not be willing to kill myself. I would not want to kill a cow, pig, lamb or sheep. A chicken? With glee. Same for seafood. No issues.
  3. Of course he would. He is regressive, anti-progress, anti-reform and the goon squad installed him. It is likely he is also on the wrong side of history.
  4. I often wonder exactly the same thing, why don't we have roving squads that travel around the planet eliminating troublesome goons? I would have no problem with that ethically, morally, nor on any other level.
  5. When I moved from New York to LA, I was so out of place, and so desperate for contact with real people, I hung out in lesbian bars for a few years. That was great fun. Getting in was sometimes difficult. But once inside alot of the women were very cool. They seemed to get a kick out of the wierd straight guy. Most lesbians are not monsters nor are they extremists. Most are very decent souls.
  6. Yep, me too. Not my issue. You choose to be offended, that is on you. The dems in the US are losing out over this. Moderates are really sick of it all. Glad I don't have to worry about offending an employer.
  7. A rather shocking misuse of the term electrocution. They experienced an electric shock. If they had been electrocuted, the surviving family members would be making a claim for their deaths. Correct? The word electrocute was coined as a blend of electro- and execute to refer, obviously enough, to execution by administration of electricity. During the War of Currents in the late 1880s, Thomas Edison tried to scare people into thinking that his opponent George Westinghouse's alternating current was unsafe and that his own method, direct current, was therefore better. Edison gave public demonstrations in which he killed animals, including a circus elephant named Topsy, which had killed three men, with alternating current. (Though these demonstrations may have garnered Edison some attention, they didn't work; today we use alternating current for power transmission.) Most of these accidents occur due to defective or poorly maintained equipment that release electric currents into the water. These currents can enter your body and cause an electric shock. Common sources of electrical shocks in pools and Jacuzzis include: Faulty underwater lights Defective pumps and filters Old wiring or wiring that’s not up to code Improperly grounded equipment Improperly grounded cables Metal parts not being bonded to each other. https://www.losangelespersonalinjurylawyers.co/hot-tub-jacuzzi-swimming-pool-electrocution-attorney/
  8. I do tend to agree. And they are asking society to cater to a fraction of 1%. Most are not even aware of how extreme the whole thing has become. Alot of these terms are now legal in certain states in the US, for instance: A/Ace: Abbreviation of “asexual”. Bisexual women may or may not feel included by this term. LGBTQ: 1. A common abbreviation for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning community. The acronym is used as an umbrella term when talking about non-heterosexual and noncisgender identities, and does not always reflect members of the community. A descriptive adjective (ex. “I am an LGBTQ individual”). Q Queer*: Term describing people who have a non-normative gender identity, sexual orientation, or sexual anatomy—includes lesbians, gay men, bisexual people, and transgender people and allies. Since the term is sometimes used as a slur, it has a negative connotation for some LGBTQ people; however, others have reclaimed it and are comfortable using it to describe themselves. Questioning: The process of examining one’s sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Can be used as an adjective. S Same-Gender Loving (SGL): A term used by some African-American individuals to describe their sexual orientation, as a result of the perception that “gay” and “lesbian” are primarily white terms. “Same-sex loving” is also in use. 9. Although I do not eat meat, and am quite conscious of ingredients, and the quality of cooking oils, etc., I consider alot of foods within vegan diets to be highly toxic. In order to substitute for dairy, they tend to use alot of low end oils and fats. And I do consider the diet to be a form of extremism. Same applies to a fruitarian, raw food diet, etc. I desire some semblance of balance in life. If the vegan food is homemade, it can be healthy. The other aspect to this diet, from my point of view, has to be the horror and huge inconvenience of traveling. I cannot even imagine the effort that goes into it. Recently, however, there has been an influx of a wide variety of new vegan and vegetarian processed products that do not provide consumers with all of the health benefits you might expect from adhering to a meat-free diet. It is important to ensure that you read the back of the package to really understand what is packed into these faux meat processed foods that may negatively impact on consumer’s health. https://futurefood.com.au/blog/2020/02/vegan-vegetarian-meat-substitutes-and-the-potential-health-risks-of-these-food-types Mock meats and cheeses: These processed foods generally contain lots of additives. They also provide you with far fewer vitamins and minerals than whole, protein-rich plant foods like beans, lentils, peas, nuts and seeds. Some dairy-free milks: Sweetened dairy-free milks generally contain a good amount of added sugar. Opt for the unsweetened versions instead. Vegan protein bars: Most vegan protein bars contain high amounts of refined sugar. What’s more, they usually contain an isolated form of protein, which lacks the nutrients you’d find in the plant it was extracted from. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/things-vegans-dont-eat#TOC_TITLE_HDR_5
  10. Of course my woman is younger. Why would anyone be with a woman their age, or a woman who is older than them, if they really had a choice? Nearly every friend I have in the US is single. Why? Because for a man in the US, who is past the age of 50, unless he is willing to get with a woman at least his age, or older, his prospects are dim for finding love, or companionship. Some guys like me, simply prefer younger women. Not kids, but women who are 5, 10, 15, even 20 or 25 years younger than us. For a dozen very valid reasons. I could break them down, but why bother? The PC crew will jump on this and say it is not right. You should not be able to have this kind of life, without jumping over ridiculous hurdles! Means nothing to me. I do not do PC. Why be with a woman our age, if we do not need to? Nothing wrong with it, if it works for you. But It is virtually impossible for a 60 year old man in the US, to hook up with a 36 year old woman, unless she is very fat or very ugly, or he is a centi millionaire, or is famous. Period. It just does not happen in this day and age. Here it is possible. Granted he will likely get with a woman of lesser means, who needs a guy who can provide some financial stability. So what? Who cares? Most women want financial stability anywhere in the world, whether they admit it or not. The difference is here the women are more honest about their financial needs and desires. I know a lot of men who have engaged in relationships with lovely, kind, supportive, humorous, and sexy women here, who are no longer lonely. We have very good lives. Fulfilling lives. Lives we could never dream of having back in the US, Oz, NZ, UK, Canada, or Scandinavia.
  11. I agree. It is very over rated. Although my desktop is a mac M2 studio, my laptop is a macbook pro M1, and I use an ipad, I gave up the iphone long ago. I consider it inferior on so many levels, to either the Samsung S22ultra, or the S23ultra, which are the best cell phones on the planet, by a long shot. The display, the keyboards options, and many other reasons - the list goes on and on. The iphone has become a fashion accessory, and a status symbol, and not the best phone out there. I love Apple computers, and would never consider using a windows based system. But, not the iphone. No thanks.
  12. This is a rich topic. Personally, I despise PC. I think it represents alot of what is wrong with contemporary culture, and especially America today. It is a major form of weakness, when you allow yourself to be easily offended, and take everything personally. Granted, there are things that can be perceived as offensive, but allowing yourself to be offended by tiny little things people say and do is a bit much! But, the people who are offended daily, by things others say, are just weak, and would benefit by growing thicker skin. Life can be rough and caustic at times, and for those of us who have grown thick skin, it is like water off a ducks back. No big deal, at all. Think what you want to think. It just does not mean anything to those with self esteem, and a sense of who and what they are. Granted, these are just my opinions, and some will take offense to them. LOL. The notion that political correctness has “gone mad” is familiar to anyone who follows even vaguely any aspect of modern political or cultural life. The phrase, ostensibly referring to language or action that is designed to avoid offence or harm to protected groups, has become a sharp criticism. It is synonymous with a sort of cultural McCarthyism, usually committed by the left. https://www.economist.com/open-future/2018/09/10/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far A Rasmussen poll found that 71 percent of Americans think political correctness is a problem today. When is being politically correct more about civility and politeness? When when does it veer into censorship? When is it justified? When is it not justified? https://www.jacksonville.com/opinion/2016-09-30/has-political-correctness-gone-too-far University of Connecticut officials sent out a campus-wide email advising its students that the school would provide counseling sessions in response to political commentator and Harvard Law alum Ben Shapiro’s slated speaking event at the university. The ironic part is that the counseling sessions were offered before Shapiro even stepped foot on campus. When I was in law school, Bill Clinton came and spoke. While I wasn't traumatized, I wonder whether the administration would have provided counselors for all the women in attendance. https://clclt.com/charlotte/pc-culture-10-times-its-gone-too-far/Content?oid=16059883 The term first appeared in the Marxist-Leninist vocabulary following the Russian Revolution (really, a coup) of 1917 to describe strict adherence to policies and principles of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party. “Political correctness” was invented by the communists to camouflage the truth about events and policies in the Soviet Union that had resulted in mass murders, the starvation of millions, and slave labor camps. It was “politically incorrect” to reveal such facts; the “party line” was for all loyal communist party members to promote the same “politically correct truths” about the “good life” under totalitarian government. https://www.telegram.com/news/20200114/roberta-schaefer-history-of-political-correctness-and-why-its-gone-way-too-far Yes. I remember once I referred to someone as being gay. They were very offended. I am not gay. I am non-binary. OK. How would I know that, and how can you be offended, due to me not knowing that? How is that my issue, on any level? I told him, her, who knows, to grow some thicker skin. I am a very open minded person. I have alot of gay friends, and they are all comfortable being called gay. There is no question that the woke thing is out of control in the US, in Canada, in Europe and in some other places. Moderate, sensible people are being forced to use terms, and accept the ideologies of far fewer than 1% of the population. Here, I have not experienced any of that, thankfully. Live and let live. I have no issue with anyone doing what makes them comfortable, or happy. Just do not force me to speak how you want me to speak, and use all of your special terminology. I am not a PC person.
  13. Seriously? Just because you eat the stuff, there is no reason to dismiss my claims, outright. Do you read labels? Read one next time, and do a little research into the ingredients. I have been doing this for decades.
  14. There is that element. But, I also think there is a false sense of purity. Of course it is totally fake, and as disingenuous at it gets. But, they see themselves as saints and saviors, and have absolutely no perception of who they really are, as they have all spent a lifetime denying reality, avoiding any sort of introspection, and doing everything and anything in their power to increase their wealth. Money is their God. This applies to the so called hi-so, and all the leaders of the heinous army.
  15. I am certain, that if he did not have the shares, they would have figured out another way to remove him, get rid of him, jail him, or get him out of the way. He stands for progress. Sretta, Anutin, Prayuth, Prawit and the rest of the army goons, and now PT, are anti-progress, anti-reform, anti-improvement, anti-people, and anti forward movement. They are the masters of regression.
  16. Romney did not give in. He made a dignified move, by deciding to retire at an appropriate age. Plus, I think he is sick of mixing it up with toxic men, who have zero interest in the well being of the nation, and it's people.
  17. Multiple studies on the ill effects of low end oil. Totally corroborated. Anyone with a knowledge of a basic healthy that the first place you start is with avoidance of low quality oils. Potassium bromate is a common oxidizing agent used to strengthen dough and improve rising. But the chemical has been linked to cancer, and is banned in many countries around the world. Partially Hydrogenated Oil is used to make breads resistant to oxidation and spoilage. Theses oils can turn into trans fats in the baking process. Trans fat increases the “bad” type of cholesterol and can damage arteries, increase inflammation, and potentially cause heart disease, diabetes and stroke. https://stonehousebread.com/bad-stuff-in-bread/
  18. This was a wise decision. So far, Pita has shown us nothing but integrity and that is in very short supply here, when it comes to politics. They need to oppose the highly toxic army and the sold out PT, which likely lost alot of it's remaining goodwill by jumping into bed with the reptiles. Thailand mourns. For now, it's future has been stolen once again by the army thieves and goons. The army is no doubt the enemy of the people, and so is the new stooge PM. The recent election shows that the people are both sick of being led by highly ignorant dinosaurs, with no interest in progress, and are interested in smart, young folks, who are serious, accomplished, capable of change, and interested in insuring that Thailand has a good future. Pita is exactly what this nation needs, at this point in time. However, he was too progressive, and the goons had to stop him, in the name of regression. After all, this is a man who interrupted his studies at MIT, during an MBA program at Sloan to rescue his father's rice bran oil business, Agrifood, after this fathers death. He was successful, and is paying down the 100 million baht his father borrowed to start the company. This is a serious man. Very unlike the failures before him. He then went back and finished his MBA, at one of the top business schools on the planet. He is an accomplished man, unlike the army goons, who are only good at bossing young men around. Nothing else. Nada. Zero. Nunca.
  19. Tourism is not returning anytime soon. The average Thai seems to attribute this to Covid. And that is a significant factor. But, there were a dozen issues plaguing the industry long before covid reared it's ugly head, income was dropping dramatically, as the "number of arrivals" were up, pointing toward a dramatically lower quality of tourist, that Thailand was able to attract. The heavy hitters, and the wealthy tourists have found many other places that meet their need for a nice bottle of wine with dinner (that is not overpriced to a mind boggling degree), a sommelier at the hotel who knows their wine, reasonable luxury goods, so the wife can shop here while on vacation, law and order that addresses jet ski scammers, sewage being dumped into the ocean in resort areas, control over the taxi goons, and far better transportation options (high speed trains, helicopters available for transport, etc. It is more and more apparent by the day, that the destruction and sabotage of Thailand's tourism industry was likely deliberate, and planned out. Nothing else makes sense. They have been wanting to get rid of the nightlife for as long as they have been in power. What better way to do this, than use the cover of Covid? Reduce the entire industry to ashes, then rebuild it, in their own pure as snow image. Without a trace of nightlife, or a hint of a sex industry. Phiphat and Prayuth have made history. 100 years from now, in the hospitality industry classes at the university level, they will still be teaching about you, as the man who presided over the once great industry of tourism, the man who helped destroy the industry millions depended upon. They will talk about you when the students are visiting the hollowed out shells, of once formerly great hotels, as the man who helped precipitate the demise and decline of Thailand, from the tiger of SE Asia (and at one time the 21st largest economy in the world) to a whiny, sickly, skinny, disease infested alley cat, on it's last legs. And on par with Burundi, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Yemen, and Sierra Leone.
  20. As Mitt Romney just said, both Biden and Trump should step aside, and make room for the younger generation to take over. When dinosaurs like Pelosi, Feinstein, and McConnell continue to serve, it just degrades the country, and tarnishes congress and the senate even further, if that is even possible. Biden is too old, Trump is not only too old, but too corrupt, and too compromised. There should not only be term limits (two terms, maximum), but also age limits. Mandatory retirement at 75. See ya! You are no longer needed, wanted, or desired. You are too old!
  21. No. Educational standards here have to change. To begin with, they have to start encouraging the students to question the teachers, developing curiosity in the process. Any teacher who has a hard time being questioned, is hiding something. By international standards, the two top universities in Thailand are Mahidol and Chulalongkorn. World University Rankings created by Times Higher Education takes into account the reputation of research done by universities and how often papers produced by universities were quoted around the world. They have Mahidol ranked at #610, and Chulalongkorn ranked at #801, worldwide. That is the best this nation is capable of. Shows you how important education is to the elite (who send their kids overseas for college) and this spectacularly toxic administration. I know this thread is primarily about grade school, but I doubt there are international rankings for that. Also, University used to serve a vital function. These days, that is not necessarily the case. Unless one graduates with a medical degree, medical tech, nursing, an MBA from a top 20 school, or a degree in engineering, the prospects are not what they used to be. And the debt can be outrageous. College seems to be a racket these days. Big business. And who wins in the end? The university. Vocational school, or specialized training, may have more application, in this world.
  22. True. But it you were living in a smaller town, your rent would be alot lower, and if you cut out the insurance mafia, and self insured, your lifestyle would likely improve.
  23. Nah. He rarely ever achieves anything. Other than Ferrari Joe, which was such a blatant crime, name some others that he made a big deal about, who were actually convicted and sentenced. An awful lot of grand standing and love of the press. That is what defines the this guy. And it would be virtually impossible for anyone to make a case, that the top dog in Thailand's biggest pyramid scheme is a straight cop.
  24. Of course this was to be expected, the moment the heinous military here stepped in, to twist arms, and have the election results, and the will of the people, flushed down the toilet. When PT sold their soul, to join the army coalition, it signaled the end of the possibility of any kind of meaningful reform. After all, the army is the second most powerful institution here. They might allow a modest change to the draft laws, just for appearances sake.
  25. The judge was foolish to grant him bail in a murder case. Just knowing he was a police captain, should have robbed him of all credibility.
