Never. Most do it as a fashion statement, and a desire to belong. Millions are enduring the expense of having them removed, after many years of agony, over the bizarre choices they made, at a different point in their lives. Especially those ridiculous tribal bands. They are the worst. Now, it has become so fashionable, it does not seem to make much of a statement anymore. Not having a tattoo makes more of a statement of rebellion! While I appreciate some tattoos aesthetically, especially on some women, I have never felt the need to have one. At points in my life, I thought about one. But, never found an image that might still be meaningful in ten or twenty years. Thankful for that. The army veteran and model, now 25 and living in Las Vegas, is not alone. As the number of Americans with tattoos continues to increase – one survey suggests three in 10 adults have at least one piece of ink, up from 21% a decade ago – so too does remorse. The poll reports that 8% of those with tattoos – potentially more than 5 million people – regret them. https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2022/oct/24/tattoo-removal-popularity-ink-regret

Xi Jinping To Give A Keynote Speech At Apec CEO Summit

As the army leadership is completely devoid of morality, and ethics and seems to be motivated only by money, in addition to not caring about the masses one iota, they relate to the Chinese, like two peas in a pod. This is a historic mistake. They should be treating the Chinese leadership with fear and trepidation. Their intentions are foul. -
When leaving recently, the lines at immigration were 45 minutes. I complained to the officer standing in front and claimed I had a knee injury and she finally relented and let me go onto the Thai side which was about 10 minutes. They could do so such better. They know exactly when numbers of flights are leaving, and if they cared one iota, they could have more lines manned. Coming back in, the airport was deserted, so immigration was a breeze.

Absolutely horrendous. My heart goes out to all the families that were affected by this tragedy. Every time I take a minivan I hope it is a decent driver. If you end up with a maniac, it is best to just have him drop you off. Find another one. Not worth the risk.

Xi Jinping To Give A Keynote Speech At Apec CEO Summit

I allow no personal freedom to my people. We harvest organs for profit and punishment. We oppress our minority populations. We barely allow any imports and make it difficult for companies to sell their products in China. We ignore territorial boundaries and claim ownership of the South China Sea. We are nearly the only nation to subscribe to a zero covid policy, even if it means putting millions out of work. I have just been appointment PM for life. Or, close to it. Impressive, huh? You live in a building like that, with irresponsible management, and you carry an aluminum baseball bat from your car to your unit. The dog approaches with malice, and you simply crack his ugly skull and advise the owner to be more judicious in his next choice of a dog. Let him clean up the mess, and take time to reflect. Problem solved.

What does someone do when they do not have a life? They become a netizen who spends their days blaming, being outraged, being a victim, pointing out what they consider to be the mistakes of others, being highly critical, and taking no responsibility for their own lives. They can't. They are too busy focused on the life of others. They don't have a life.

Who took this poll? What are their credentials? What party affiliations do they have? How much were they paid? Does anyone believe the results? He was a good-hearted person who had a contribution to many lives and potentially solved the Covid-19 crisis and improved the public health system. He was also kind to local residents, very skilled, wealthy, and liked rich people.” Was that a misquote? Was that supposed to say he is well liked by rich people, as he protects their status with every nanogram of his being?

Iraq, Panama, Grenada, the list goes on and on. The ignorant wars the US has been involved in are endless. It is debatable if Ukraine is one of them, and to date, all we are doing is offering support in the fight against a child murdering, serial killer dictator. No issues with that.

One of the surest signs that society and mankind are not progressing, and not moving forward is this whole social media, tik tok, twitter inspired netizen thing, and the incredibly thin skin millions of people are afflicted with, these days. Having thick skin is a sign of high self esteem and knowing who you are, where you belong and how you fit into this world. Thin skin is so unattractive. It is such a sign of weakness and the constant social media criticism and need for PC, is so ugly. Get over yourselves. Grow some thicker skin.

In Thailand, the government made the horrific mistake of granting a monopoly to True Visions. Their programming is atrocious. When the US, I get hundreds of channels, most of them in HD. Alot are not worth watching, but some good movie and cable TV channels and some fun stuff. Even the platinum package on True is dreadful. Shame on them, and shame on the govt. for allowing such a failure.

There are some acts one can commit in this life, that essentially "self revoke" the right to consume oxygen. This vermin needs to be put down. Or locked up for life. But, better for everyone if he is just taken out of his misery. You are a trusted guardian. You are a grandfather. Since when did that stop meaning anything?

Does it gets boring in Koh Phangan, Samui?
spidermike007 replied to parafareno's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
I have a few friends who do just that. They hit on civilians all the time. And they do fairly well. You need to speak some Thai, you nedd to have some game, and it helps if you have some bling. They love that. Many are single, and some are curious or game. -
There are only a small percentage here who understand the value of both customer service and a long term customer. A funny anecdote. A fee years ago, I bought six bottle of soda water. The old guy told me I had to pay 5 baht deposit, per bottle. I said ok. Went back with my bottles later, and wanted to buy some more. He quoted me a price that did not take into account my 30 baht deposit. I said I get the deposit back, and then pay you for the water, right? He said no, you pay it, but I cannot credit you for it! I asked, so the deposit is one way? I would have been upset, if I was not laughing so hard. I said no, farang is one way, that way, and never come back. I took my bottles and left. It was well worth it. Have been telling that story to my friends for years. We all love it! I have had hundreds of these kinds of encounters here in LOS. Always amazed by them. There is a complete disregard for the future, for future patronage, for the idea of loyalty, and rewarding you for such. It has happened with merchants I had been dealing with for years. Over tiny amounts of money. Of course, they lose me for life. But, they do not seem to care one iota. I am a business owner. I will do nearly anything to retain a loyal customer. Whatever it takes. A full refund, an exchange, just tell me what you want. Here? None of that. Tomorrow? Why think about tomorrow, when I can make an extra 30 baht today?

Operators Promises Safe Halloween Festival on Khao San Road

Proactive police work, here? Is something changing? Am I detecting some improvement in services? Whoa. Let us hope this is not just lip service. More real police work is very much needed. Not American style oppression. Just being there for the people.
