  1. Is there an inspection process, (which should happen at all public forums), to ensure proper entrances and exits? If so, who was bribed to allow this place to operate without the proper permits? And if they are connected and powerful will they be charged with negligence? No emergency exit doors? What is that all about? Such an unnecessary waste of life.
  2. Few police enforce traffic laws here, unless it is a (bribe collection) roadblock. There is nothing in the way of traffic safety. They just don't care.
  3. Absolutely correct. In the US, if you have 3 or 4 million dollars to buy a good legal team, you can get away with murder. Think O. J. Simpson.
  4. There is about a zero percent chance someone inadvertently put ganga in a brownie, and did not charge for it. The mother bought the thing, and was not careful with it. This s all about negligence.
  5. For a guy who originally said he would be a short term "caretaker PM", he seems to have changed his tune, and now prefers it appears to be a lifetime appointment. The sooner he leaves, resigns, gets kicked out, or is defeated, the better. His level of malfeasance is epic. His inability to be a good leader is well established. Why the powers that be would consider him the preferable option is fairly clear. It has little to do with competency. He is moving Thailand backwards.
  6. It was an intellectually lazy reply. We all have the right to complain. Especially when it comes to dual pricing. Nobody really likes it. It is just something we tolerate.
  7. Notice how they said "most appropriate candidate", instead of "best or most qualified applicant".
  8. Where do they find these so called experts? Who decides who to select? And why do they almost always get it wrong? Is there any sort of qualification process?
  9. We had already lived together for many years, and were getting along great. So, I did it to give her the honor and security. Marriage means little to me. Since then, she has only become a better version of herself. I think that my wife and I have a very unusual and non-typical arrangement. We are both very independent and when I'm feeling a little bit caged in, I take off for 3 or 4 days to Bangkok, for a week to Samui to visit with friends or I'll fly up to Chiang Mai, and it works out quite well. My wife is accustomed to our lifestyle at this point and she is never surprised, nor does she complain, or give me grief. She also does trips with her friends. In addition, she spends alot of time with her friends daily, which gives me alot of sólo time, which I cherish. It has allowed us to stay together for many more years than I ever thought we would, and it's very peaceful and harmonious at home. Sometimes a non traditional lifestyle can be the answer, at least it was for me. Very little stress at this point. Though I must admit the ridiculously wise decision to not have kids is a huge contributing factor, to our happiness and fulfillment. For us anyway. It should be a choice.
  10. Online scams are plentiful these says. Buying anything on Facebook, sight unseen is risky. If something is sent COD, always a good idea to inspect it before paying. Basic precautions. Never trust a stranger. If you are buying on Amazon, Ebay, or Lazada, you have the option of looking at reviews. That helps, as you get a sense of reliability. Also, the platforms themselves offer some remediation, in this sort of event. FB offers nothing.
  11. He is one of 2,200 generals in Thailand. One of the highest rates of generals per soldier, in the world. So, what does being a general actually mean here? And what qualifications are required? Certainly not battlefield experience. What then?
  12. We all have a different path in this life. Whatever works for you.
  13. None of this really matters. I don't think they ever made an earnest effort to pursue this guy. That much seems obvious. He is above the law. Any and all laws.
  14. Cha Cha is such a genius. He is predicting economic growth. He is forecasting tourism numbers. He is even able to predict inflation a year from now. It is a good thing Thailand has such a brilliant and capable man in charge.
  15. Pushback from the franchisees was to be expected. They are being denied billions in revenue. The extent to which they hassled and extorted the public before was shameful. Now, they are feeling denied. Someone in a position of authority has to say No, to the creeps in brown.
  16. May be best to rent for now. It is a good renters market. I think a major correction is long overdue, worldwide. It is already starting in the US. Prices here will likely drop significantly, once the helium begins leaking from the over inflated balloon.
  17. Did you negotiate a daily rate in advance? If not, that was mistake number one. If so, then pay her and move on. Leave her in the dust. Second, it might be healthy of you to not consider her "my gal". She is a rental. It sounds high to me. If she is just trying to scam you, your only option is to leave where you are now, change your phone nunber, and move on.
  18. I don't like them at all. They are way too big, they guzzle gas like a drunken sailor guzzlers beer, and they seem to be designed for people with extra money, who are less practical. Tell the wife NO!
  19. Denial never changes anything one iota. Believe what you want. Don't do any research.
  20. Buy land in downtown Scottsdale. Buy some Microsoft and Apple stock. Notes to self: Buy some Bitcoin at $1, in 2011. Buy some ETH in 2015, at 65 cents. Buy Palm Springs condos in 1995, and buy Vancouver condos in 2000. Get out of America, as soon as you make your first 5 mil. Could have, should have, would have.
  21. As a Democrat, I can say I agree with you. Though the ex prez just got lucky, with the economy, and the artificially low interest rates, combined with trillions in Covid aid, which helped not only to keep the economy cranking on steroids, but contributed significantly to the runaway inflation we are seeing now. I saw it coming. It was like watching flight of the Hindenberg.
  22. I could cite these all day long. And the nunbers were only barely better pre covid. All studies agree between 50 and 70% of all Americans are struggling financially. 70% of Americans have lived paycheck to paycheck at some point during the pandemic, including 48% who are living paycheck to paycheck currently. 50% of those currently living with the effects of long COVID are also presently living paycheck to paycheck. 71% of families still have not recovered financially from the COVID-19 pandemic. https://www.realestatewitch.com/financial-struggles-during-pandemic-2022/
  23. Again, another strange opinion. Do you recall the nature of the discussion? It was about ganga. Quite different than yaba and meth, in the way it effects the system. Or course drugs cause mayhem. Ganga? Rarely.
  24. Woke and PC are being used by both sides to wage a cultural war. As a Democrat, I think it is worse on the left. It is being weaponized. Careers are being destroyed over honest, sensible statements, in my opinion. I don't like it, and it is driving me away from being able to relate to the party, as a moderate.
  25. Some cops tend to be very resentful that they are not getting part of the action. And imagine posting something on FB, about a gambling den? Where are the basic survival instincts? Where is the common sense? Many things in life are better left unshared.
