  1. Why aren't public venues like this inspected periodically? Surely people knew what this venue was being used as? There is no valid excuse on the part of the authorities, who share equally in the blame for these deaths.
  2. The lack of emotional development does not appear to have been a factor. Looking within for the source of the problem was not considered, since the termites are to blame. All this, coming from the spiritual advisor, who is supposed to encourage introspection, based upon the teachings of Buddhism. Blame the termites. Blame anything. Just don't take responsibility.
  3. Where is the blame for the authorities, who either did not inspect the premises properly, didn't inspect at all, or are questionable in their capabilities? They bear great responsibility for this. All public venues should be inspected for safety hazards. This is not the first time something like this has happened.
  4. As usual, the noble RTP are doing very important work, keeping the nation safe, the morality of the people intact, and performing a great service for the people.
  5. Yes, years and years of work devoted to such a task. Unyielding and unflinching commitment.
  6. This is precisely why in many nations there are inspection teams, who visit these public venues to make sure shortcuts like these were not taken. Lives could have been saved. So who is to blame? Both the owners and the authorities. Equally.
  7. 99% are still wearing masks in small towns, while on motorbikes. The air quality does not factor into that at all. Neither does covid prevention. Not while on a motorbike.
  8. I don't see it happening here either. It happens in very few countries, except the US, which seems to have way too many guns and way too many nut jobs who own them. And I say that as an American.
  9. 2 years would have been more than enough time to set up the transition he promised. 8 years has been enough to move the nation backwards on countless levels. The last thing Thailand needs is more rudderless and draconian leadership. Get out now!
  10. Now "Mr. After the fact", is asking for responsibility. Why not before? Where are your safety teams when we need them?
  11. Is there an inspection process, (which should happen at all public forums), to ensure proper entrances and exits? If so, who was bribed to allow this place to operate without the proper permits? And if they are connected and powerful will they be charged with negligence? No emergency exit doors? What is that all about? Such an unnecessary waste of life.
  12. Few police enforce traffic laws here, unless it is a (bribe collection) roadblock. There is nothing in the way of traffic safety. They just don't care.
  13. Absolutely correct. In the US, if you have 3 or 4 million dollars to buy a good legal team, you can get away with murder. Think O. J. Simpson.
  14. There is about a zero percent chance someone inadvertently put ganga in a brownie, and did not charge for it. The mother bought the thing, and was not careful with it. This s all about negligence.
  15. For a guy who originally said he would be a short term "caretaker PM", he seems to have changed his tune, and now prefers it appears to be a lifetime appointment. The sooner he leaves, resigns, gets kicked out, or is defeated, the better. His level of malfeasance is epic. His inability to be a good leader is well established. Why the powers that be would consider him the preferable option is fairly clear. It has little to do with competency. He is moving Thailand backwards.
  16. It was an intellectually lazy reply. We all have the right to complain. Especially when it comes to dual pricing. Nobody really likes it. It is just something we tolerate.
  17. Notice how they said "most appropriate candidate", instead of "best or most qualified applicant".
  18. Where do they find these so called experts? Who decides who to select? And why do they almost always get it wrong? Is there any sort of qualification process?
  19. We had already lived together for many years, and were getting along great. So, I did it to give her the honor and security. Marriage means little to me. Since then, she has only become a better version of herself. I think that my wife and I have a very unusual and non-typical arrangement. We are both very independent and when I'm feeling a little bit caged in, I take off for 3 or 4 days to Bangkok, for a week to Samui to visit with friends or I'll fly up to Chiang Mai, and it works out quite well. My wife is accustomed to our lifestyle at this point and she is never surprised, nor does she complain, or give me grief. She also does trips with her friends. In addition, she spends alot of time with her friends daily, which gives me alot of sólo time, which I cherish. It has allowed us to stay together for many more years than I ever thought we would, and it's very peaceful and harmonious at home. Sometimes a non traditional lifestyle can be the answer, at least it was for me. Very little stress at this point. Though I must admit the ridiculously wise decision to not have kids is a huge contributing factor, to our happiness and fulfillment. For us anyway. It should be a choice.
  20. Online scams are plentiful these says. Buying anything on Facebook, sight unseen is risky. If something is sent COD, always a good idea to inspect it before paying. Basic precautions. Never trust a stranger. If you are buying on Amazon, Ebay, or Lazada, you have the option of looking at reviews. That helps, as you get a sense of reliability. Also, the platforms themselves offer some remediation, in this sort of event. FB offers nothing.
  21. He is one of 2,200 generals in Thailand. One of the highest rates of generals per soldier, in the world. So, what does being a general actually mean here? And what qualifications are required? Certainly not battlefield experience. What then?
  22. We all have a different path in this life. Whatever works for you.
  23. None of this really matters. I don't think they ever made an earnest effort to pursue this guy. That much seems obvious. He is above the law. Any and all laws.
  24. Cha Cha is such a genius. He is predicting economic growth. He is forecasting tourism numbers. He is even able to predict inflation a year from now. It is a good thing Thailand has such a brilliant and capable man in charge.
