  1. This non elected official has really accomplished very little. She was however successful at helping to turn a democratically elected man, who would have been potentially great at helping Thailand move toward a promising future, into a scapegoat, allowing her party to assume power. She was not elected. Never forget. Never forgive her family and their malicious and greedy power grab.
  2. Let us hope something this dreadful never happens to this country, the man is severely incompetent, and he's the last person in the world that should be leading this nation. If he did assume power he would set Thailand back two decades, as he is a major dinosaur and he knows nothing about progress or what's good for the nation or the Thai people. This terrible man worships only the golden calf of the Thai baht.
  3. They're certainly could be more to the story there's really no way to know at this point, it is all entirely plausible though not probable. The part about the police is totally possible, especially in Pattaya. They are some of the most greedy cops in the country. The part of the landlord sounds extreme but it also sounds possible, he certainly should have had all his valuables locked up, if nothing else locked up in his suitcase, in which case either the police or the landlord would have had a steal or destroy his suitcase to get to any of his valuables. if it were me and this actually happened I would be looking for major retribution against the Airbnb host, and would be looking to raise as much stink as possible online and in the media at home, as he has done.
  4. I would have voted for Miley Cyrus or Pauly Shore over Trump, anyone but Trump. My lifetime of dislike of a criminal scam artist seems to offend you. You just can't help it you're absolutely compelled to reply every time I say something negative about him. I think you have Democrat derangement syndrome.
  5. Have you become the new Bob Smith? Too much time on your hands? Are you trying to create the most posts every day? If you do so, can I suggest some actual content?
  6. I like the idea of punishing the Chinese government just as much as the next guy but I don't like the idea of punishing American consumers in the process, and devastating the US economy, which is exactly what big boy is doing. The problem is he's just simply not smart enough to understand that, and he's appointed bottom of the barrel, garbage advisors, so nobody in the room is bright enough to figure any of this stuff out.
  7. As usual you are jumping to a lot of conclusions. I don't support DEI, I don't support the rights of trans, especially when it comes to sports and locker rooms, and I don't support an unlimited number of illegals coming across the border. You somehow think that Trump is the only one capable of stopping these things I do not believe that for a nanosecond.
  8. Well number one I don't do Woke and PC which you are asking me to do, and that will never happen. Number two statistics don't lie. Thailand has the second highest fatality rate per capita of any country in the world when it comes to road accidents, so you can ignore that statistic all you want, and try to play professor on us, but it doesn't mean anything.
  9. That is exactly why those companies moved production out of the US to begin with, costs have skyrocketed in the US to the point where it is likely that 90% of these products that Trump is imposing tariffs on would be prohibitively expensive to manufacture in the US, and still generate a profit on the sale. Trump is too simple minded to understand something like this, it takes a degree of intelligence to comprehend complex problems, which he definitely is not equipped with. There is a terrible price to pay for an IQ of 89, when you are in his position.
  10. It is changing already, America has a lot less influence than it used to, and countries like China are a lot less dependent on America than they used to be. So Trump as usual is dramatically overestimating the importance and influence of the US, and this will come back and bite him on his huge butt.
  11. So many of these products that Trump is attempting to level tariffs in, are made by American companies overseas, so who suffers in all of this and who benefits? As is typical of Trump this is just another plan that was very poorly thought out and the implementation seems to be just as poor. Canada will suffer but China is infinitely less dependent on the US than they were 10 years ago.
  12. In the US they seem to have this way of teaching women to deny every nanogram of their femininity, in an attempt to be more masculine than men. It's a very unappealing quality, it's one that I ran away from and never looked back. Leaving America, and ignoring American women was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
  13. When sloth meets lethargy, and a lack of creativity, combined with no enforcement, the result is ridiculously polluted air like we're seeing now. Congratulations to the young new PM, on doing absolutely nothing for your people. Ever.
  14. Nowhere else in the world have I seen people consistency take the kinds of chances and risks in the road, that they take here, with their families in the car. Nowhere. When they could have waited four seconds to make the uturn or turn onto the highway, and have a completely clear path, they instead choose to take a tremendous risk. It is beyond comprehension. I see it all the time. My eyes do not lie to me. This rarely ever happens to me in the US. If I decide to cut you off on a highway, when you are going 120kph, and I am making a u-turn, and there was plenty of room behind you for me to make a safe turn, is that an error, if it results in a horrific, fatal accident, and I take the lives of you and your family? Or is that pure recklessness? Sometimes an error is wearing white after Labor day in New York City. And sometimes an error is Germany invading Russia before the oncoming winter. I don't make the kind of errors that result in bad accidents, much less fatalities. Why? Because I am very, very careful on the road, and very, very respectful of other drivers, their lives, and those of their families. That is a choice that results in NOT making very many terrible mistakes. It most certainly has something to do with the inability to visualize. Neither the future, nor the hypothetical. What will happen in this scenario? What about this? What about that? What are the inherent risks involved in piloting my bike, car or truck onto the safety lane of a major highway, in the wrong direction, with big trucks coming at me at 100kph? Or onto a lane of a major highway, with oncoming traffic going 120kph? Is it worth sacrificing my life, or my ability to walk for the rest of my life? How will my death affect my kids? Hold on, what about the lives of my wife, kids and sister who are in the vehicle with me, and I am responsible for their safety. Wow. That would be a big loss. An entire family. Maybe I should act like an adult, and be prudent and careful. What if I waited four seconds for the highway lane to be completely clear, rather than just barge into it now, and risk everything. I don't think many Thais ever ponder thoughts like this. Why, I can't imagine. It is likely something we will never understand about their nature. I often like to say the best way to understand these differences in attitude and intellect, is to realize Thailand is NOT a foreign country. It is a distant planet.
  15. It's kind of hard to respond to a reply like that, do you honestly think that Trudeau is sending the drugs himself? Do you think the Canadian government is sending the drugs? You think that there's even a possibility that the drugs are being smuggled through Canada? Do you think that Trump is going to be able to stop the flow of drugs into the US? He certainly didn't in his first term, did he?
  16. As far as I'm concerned one of the most dangerous, reckless, and poorly thought out policies that Trump has proposed, are even higher tariffs on many classes of imported products. Who ends up paying for this? American companies who are manufacturing in China, and the consumer, that's who. In the end huge taxes may encourage companies too pull out of China, which is a good thing, but how long will that process take, and what will the economic consequences be in the interim? If he enacts his import tariffs as promised it could spell disaster for the American economy. It is nothing but a massive tax hike on the American People, and could have a very negative impact on thousands of American companies that manufacturer overseas, without any true understanding of why they manufacture overseas. Trump manufactures overseas, every opportunity he gets, to save money. Bibles, baseball caps, and likely countless other things. So, calling him very disingenuous would be an understatement. He is not a socialist. He is a Marxist, with his use of fiction and propaganda. And he is a failed capitalist. It is fairly easy to get wealthy if you are willing to steal most of your fortune from unsuspecting small contractors. Yet he still went bankrupt. 5 times. Massive bankruptcies. That requires a special kind of skill as a grifter, and a scam artist. His tax hike proposals would end up being a disaster. If they were highly targeted tariffs, only imposed upon goods other states were subsidizing, making it impossible to compete, that makes sense and would be good policy. But, blanket tariffs end up being punitive for the American consumer and American companies forced to operate overseas due to the silly costs of manufacturing in the US. They are a tax. Trump lies when he says other nations will pay for them. He lies when he says companies will pay for them. Consumers will pay, so it becomes a tax. Be bold, big Don and for once be honest. It is a tax hike. And it could slow down the economy and result in a massive loss of jobs, and major inflation. Very dumb policy.
  17. The potential ramifications of this absolutely insane and I'll informed trade war could be devastating for the American economy and the American people who this fool claims to represent. Trump has threatened tariffs as one way of countering China’s global sea power. An advisor on his transition team has proposed a 60% tariff on any product transiting through the Chancay port in Peru or any other Chinese-owned or controlled port in South America. Rather than making nations reluctant to sign port deals with Beijing, however, this kind of action just erodes Washington’s regional influence. And China is likely to take retaliatory measures, like banning the export of critical minerals to the US. Host nations like Peru and Brazil, meanwhile, are using the competition for port investment to their advantage. Attracting interest from both the West and China, they are increasingly asserting their autonomy and adopting a strategy of using ports to “play everywhere” on the global stage.
  18. Considering the fact that the military are the largest landowners in Thailand at 12 million rai, and considering the fact that they suck a huge amount out of the treasury every year, you would think that they would be good for something, right? You could surmise the people would get something in exchange for that bargain. Anything. With 130 baht worth of medals on those uniforms can they actually do something productive for the people?
  19. If you're going to go for an EV just say no to Tesla, and deny Musk that little bit of profit, which is turning him into one of the most obnoxious humans on the planet, and in addition to that I think he's a potentially dangerous man. So buy an EV from somebody else, or stick with a more sensible choice of a hybrid.
  20. Thai food all the way, there's so many great options. I love food panda, I pay that 200 something baht per year fee, and I never pay for delivery, it's a fantastic service.
  21. When I hear about these kind of incidents I wonder if it's just a stunning level of arrogance that prevents people from stopping or slowing down for pedestrians, a total level of indifference for the safety of others, or just a person who's more or less asleep at the wheel and just not paying attention.
  22. So, you consider all Europeans to be trash? Really? Honestly? I find alot of Europeans to be fine, intelligent, wonderful people. There are a dozen valid reasons why people attack Trump. His stunning ignorance is a good place to start. Are you American? Do you have a passport?
  23. Hard to be serious about anything when you're just not a serious man. Donald Trump does not care about merit. If he cared about merit, then Pete Hegseth — a former Fox News host who has been accused of having a history of alcohol abuse and professional malfeasance — would not be secretary of defense. If he cared about merit, then JD Vance — with even less experience than one of his least experienced predecessors, Dan Quayle — would not be vice president of the United States. And if he cared about merit, then neither Robert F. Kennedy Jr. nor Kash Patel would be a hair’s breadth away from serving as secretary of health and human services or director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Trump does not care about merit, but he talks about merit all the time. It is the key term in his war on diversity, equity and inclusion policies, or D.E.I. But in the mind of the president and his deputy, the mere fact of diversity is evidence of incompetence and unfair treatment. To have women or nonwhites or people with disabilities in sensitive roles, says the president, is to necessarily court disaster. Once again, and not for the last time, Donald Trump has disgraced and degraded his office. But then, what else is new? We knew what he was when we took him in.

  25. This heartless man would not know compassion, sympathy or decency if any of those qualities bit him on the ankle. He is so clueless and so devoid of soul, one has to wonder if he came from an alien universe populated by creatures that only know hostility and hatred. I don't think he is human. He will seize any opportunity to create division regardless of the circumstances. His quality set makes him the polar opposite of a good leader.
