I know many who are doing this. In order to get good results the fasting window has to be at least 15 hours per day. 16 is better. So, 7pm to 11am?

China has been showing its true colors lately. Their intentions are absolutely heinous. Their thirst for power knows no limits. The CCP is a nasty organization with very, very bad intentions. The planet should beware of them.

Meta Shifts Focus to Free Speech with New Community Notes System

Zuck has surrendered. Rather than resist Trump, he has given in and shown absolute fealty to the new king. A horrific outcome. -
Here comes the smog (do do do do)...
spidermike007 replied to BarBoy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The government should offer incentives, for the farmers to switch crops. This is 2021. Rice and sugar worked in previous centuries. Now, they do not make any sense. Too labor intensive, too much degradation of the land, water, air, and resources. Let's get with the times. Let us move forward. I know I am dreaming. It takes a progressive administration to do these kinds of things, and little Thaksin and her gang are as regressive as they come. The "real youth" must prevail. The dinosaurs must be forced to the side, and the youth must figure out a way to lead this nation forward. Otherwise, it is nothing but darkness, that will prevail. They shut down the economy due to covid. But, burning cane is ok. Can't they see the effect it is having on the air? Do they care one iota? Don't the leaders live here too? Why are they MIA? Why don't the "do nothing guys" do something for a change? When the crop burning starts to kill the population, and lowers the quality of life for those of us who don't die, isn't it time to take action? We just don't need the sugar. Shut down this toxic, heinous industry. Lock up the farmers. Sieze their land. Do whatever it takes. -
Former French-Cambodian Opposition MP shot dead in Bangkok
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Hun Sen is a serial killing superfreak, who disguised himself as a democratic leader, and the world stood by and accepted his charade. He killed his opposition at will, stole billions in land from peasants and was a terrorist against his own people. His legacy continues. -
they just killed 2 of my dogs
spidermike007 replied to bubblegum's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
There's a lot of information missing from your story, first of all why did they poison your dogs? Were your dogs loud, were they barking a lot, were they bothering people, were they biting neighbors, were they creating a nuisance? People don't just poison dogs randomly. Number two, why on earth would you punish your wife because your dogs got poisoned? And you're leaving Thailand, there's obviously some issues there, a declining marriage, no inspiration? There's so much missing from the story it's impossible to evaluate, it just simply sounds like you're tired of Thailand and if the place isn't working for you anymore the best thing to do is just to move on. Some of us still love it here but obviously some of us don't. -
Many of us drive motorcycles or scooters here, and it is dangerous getting on the roads with some of these other drivers. Getting on a scooter, or a motorcycle anywhere in Thailand, much less Phuket, Phangan, Dark Tao, or Samui without a very good helmet, is like playing Russian Roulette with three or four bullets in the chamber. It is absolutely asking for problems. The degree of recklessness here is astounding. And many foreigners come here thinking "how much trouble could I get in on a little scooter, on a tropical island"? Well, the answer is alot. The amount of foreigners who are killed on the Southern islands is staggering. Most are not reported in the media. I had a friend who worked for Samui rescue for many years, and said the numbers were about 30-60 a month, on Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao. The official number is about 3 a month. Rider beware. Use as good a helmet as you can afford, and do not use these eggshells pieces of crap. They crack at the first impact, and what lies underneath them? Your skull, which is very delicate. I have been riding bikes for 49 years. Without any serious accidents. A few minor ones over the years. Riding a bike here is very dangerous. If not the highest, one of the highest fatality rates in the world. And an accident here can be very costly, to your person. Just ask yourself- do I have enough problems already, without a broken skull, or smashed head, or face injury, or lost eye? I have three friends who have been in motorbike accidents on Samui within the last several years. One still cannot walk, or talk or function on her own, from a motorbike accident, where she hit her head on the pavement going only 20 kph. The other one has lost alot of his mental capacity after hitting his head. He insisted for years he would never wear a helmet. Now, he seems 15 years older. The third one is a close friend, who was hit by a sidecar, and nearly lost his leg. 11 operations later, he can walk, but with a limp, and the leg caused him constant problems, many years later.

My mattress is not soft, I would say it's on the firm side, but ridiculously comfortable, and totally compatible with all activities.

Perhaps you forget but he left office with far less money last time, because his name became so incredibly toxic nobody wanted to associate with him or his companies. That is the truth, embrace it or deny it, the reality is there.

Does your Thai wife or girlfriend ever foot the bill?
spidermike007 replied to BarBoy's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Every once in a while she does, but she's not working because I don't want her to work, I want us to have the freedom that we have due to her not working, and I provide the bread, I provide the earnings, so I don't expect her to pay for stuff. She brings so much to the table, she contributes on countless levels, and I'm absolutely thrilled to support her and give her a good life. -
Spanish student dies after being attacked by elephant in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Perhaps elephants might be the exception to this rule because I think in general they tend to be more gentle than many other beasts, but it seems like there's a proliferation these days of people wanting to get close to enormous and very powerful beasts, that are not necessarily as civilized and is gentle as they think they are. Such as the couple who lost their lives to a brown bear recently. Idiots like the adventure guy who lost his life to a manta ray while petting him, and so many others who think that because I love them they will love me back. -
And I totally applaud him for his honesty, his frankness and his willingness to speak truth. There's no doubt the Democratic party is completely broken, they've spent far too long pandering to the progressives and the extreme left, and the woke and PC crazies, and he's right. I think the party needs to be completely dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up and people like Harris need to be exiled entirely. I sure wish more Republicans would speak out about how broken their party is.

SO who of you guys live in Thailand?
spidermike007 replied to still kicking's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It does seem like there are a lot of overseas guys that like to post in regard to Thailand, but I think the vast majority of us actually live here and enjoy life here on a daily basis and are incredibly thankful that we're not back in our native countries. -

spidermike007 replied to still kicking's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
There is some truth to that, Trump is one of the biggest complainers, and whiners of all of them, and his tendencies seem to have rubbed off on a lot of his devotees. In general I do think Americans are getting weaker by the day, but to a certain extent I would apply that to the entire planet. The entire PC and woke thing has certainly weakened the population dramatically but fortunately a lot of people are now saying no absolutely not! Do what you want with your life but that nonsense is not for me. -
Yeah if you're using one spoon of oil it's unlikely that it makes that much difference, but if you're eating street food it makes a huge difference as they use massive amounts of oil, and if it's being cooked by a Thai, t's almost guaranteed that a lot of oil is being used, so the quality of oil is always relevant. Rice bran oil rules!

Both Dunlopillo and Lady Americana are superb latex mattresses. Unbelievably comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud. I have been fortunate to have found a couple of them at highly discounted prices they're in the 70,000 to 100,000 baht retail range, but you can sometimes find them on sale for as little as 10,000 to 30,000, they are worth every baht and last for 20 years if flipped or spun regularly.

Mor Lam dancer sexually assaulted and pulled off stage in Isaan

Some men are closer to animals or wild beasts, and they just don't have a sense of respect for women. If it's pay for play then you're entitled to a little touchy feeley, but when it comes to absolute strangers, nothing but respect should be shown. -

Well the good thing that may come out of this is that he will likely never be entrusted to drive another very expensive cement truck again. -
With Trump it's always about the money, it's never about the principle of the thing, it's never about truth, it's never about integrity, it's never about honor. It's always about the almighty dollar. Money is his God.

Russian Tourist Stabbed After Joke Misunderstood in Pattaya
spidermike007 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
I've actually never encountered a Russian trying to make a joke, as I find them to be some of the most dour and humorless people on the planet. So perhaps they did not even consider the possibility that he was using humor?
