  1. Easy access both sides no steel.
  2. Another job (not what I asked for- I asked to replace the sealing washers on the fixing bolts as some of them leak in heavy rain) Replace fiberglass roofing sheets 14m2- 19,000bt
  3. All jobs were priced individually for some reason. Builder supplies blocks.
  4. I had a builder come and give a quote for some work. One of the jobs is to add 4 rows of lightweight blocks on top of the back wall so it meets the kitchen roof. The total area needed to to be blocked and rendered is 14m2. For this the price given was 25,000bt!
  5. I went to the British Embassy and the MOFA today. British Embassy: No problems-less than 15 minutes to get a certified copy of my passport. Taxi to MOFA From the Embassy=250bt MOFA: The official/unofficial translation window on the second floor is gone! I talked to the paranoid women in the information booths. They had had put plastic over the speaking hole in the window and were wearing masks. It was very difficult to hear a word they said. Anyway, there are translators lurking on the second floor. I paid 2700bt for their express 2 day service. This included translation of my passport, submission to the MOFA, and return postage to my house. Plenty of taxis waiting outside. I hope this helps somebody.
  6. Krungthai told me today that no photo was needed even though a message in the app told me to go to the bank with my passport.
  7. Didn't the Thai people just do this?
  8. I have just asked about this at Kasikorn: they didn't really know any details and they did not want my tax ID number! They said to go to the Revenue Department and ask there.
  9. I just saw that my Krungthai banking app shows a 0% interest rate. I went to the bank and they confirmed that savings accounts for foreigners (non juristic persons) have a 0% rate. I will be returning later to close the account and move the money into my Kasikorn account which gives interest.
  10. Thanks.
  11. Thanks.
  12. What is the easiest/best Bangkok taxi app at the moment?
  13. I thought this was about a racist insult when i saw the picture.
  14. I have had stomach issues for a while (that come and go), and need to get a gluten intolerance test. I can eat brown bread and fruits most of the time without issues, but my food diary shows that problems mostly arise after eating foods containing both. Symptoms are stomach pain, bloating, and loose stools that last for 2-3 days. Anybody know the name of the test i need? I have already tested negative for Pylori and parasites.
  15. Thanks all. Next question: What's the best/easiest way to get from the embassy to the MFA? Taxi?
  16. Thanks. 2-3 weeks is a long time. I may take it to the the MFA myself and use the translation service there. I have read that the translations are done by the MFA staff in their free time. It should be quicker. I also see that there is a new MFA office at MBK Center.
  17. I have to get a notarized copy of my passport from the British Embassy. It also has to be translated and legalized by the MOFA in Laksi. I do not want to go there myself, so i would like to know if anyone can recommend a translation company nearby that offers this service. However, the search function indicates that going to the MOFA myself and leaving it with the translation services on the second floor is the best option.
  18. I have used this before. Here
  19. My local lab offers a stool antigen test for H.Pylori for 400bt. @SherylDo you know what test i need for candida? Google gives a stool yeast test. I would like to test these before i visit the hospital for medication.
