presumably you could get your evisa at home, then say fly to Laos from your home country and cross with the evisa overland? but then the supporting documents include a question wanting your flight confirmation, seems like including one to Laos, might not produce an evisa. --------- btw, is there a general guesstimate, on how many days for a USA consulate to issue a visa, presuming no request for further documents? Hello, in May I have a long haul flight back to BKK, and am planning on buying a good GeoBlue trip insurance. I'm curious if anyone at all has been able to obtain Paxlovid, or if it is even available at all in Thailand? for someone, staying in the Sukhumwit area, I'm told Bumrumgrad is OK in an emergency, but not a 1st choice for PCR testing and/or possibly being admitted for Covid symptoms, Any opinions on the above please?

my apartment is saying, things have tightened up on the need for a 'accomodation letter' , she mentioned the recent Chinese incident , and I guess others . And requires deposit and payment in full for the stay for a letter. So, kind of nicks any ability to move around, wonder how other tourist handle this if they are doing various locations on holiday, since presumably they'd just have the 1st few days arranged, maybe at some hostel? hello, plan is to obtain 60d tourist visa for which I need something from the Service Apartment I will stay at? to do it via Los Angelas Online portal? So, say, I then do an 30d extension, for which I can do if it is 45 days from the end of the 60d visa , days stamped in ? My friend might invite me to stay on their farm in Isarn for a few weeks, I likely will keep the paid Room , just empty. Am I really supposed to check in with 24 hour with the Local police and fill in a form, and then do another one when I get back to BKK ? I wouldn't want an issues with my 30 d application for extension , which appears to now be available online? But one must still trek out to CW to obtain a "sticker" ? thank you

hello, maybe I could tag on to this thread. I am in the US but I have a DTAC Thai SIM in my old phone that can receive SMS from my gf to me , on my newer pixel where I have Line installed and working, I had to do a factory reset, and now when I attempt to log in with my Thai SIM DTAC number it asks "what is the phone number on this phone" , I enter the Thai SIM number that is in the other phone, it says "sending code" but I never receive any SMS in the old phone to verify the account and login on the Pixel I also tried putting the DTAC SIM in the new phone and also get no code, SMS . I am logged in on a PC, but am afraid of losing my old chats and contacts, if I put in the US SIM number in the pixel to log into an account that is registered to the DTAC SIM DTAC to go also is not delivering SMS nor "call me" messages/calls , only my gf SMS goes through, fwiw I am on a VPN , This happened before and I can't recall how I finally was able to transfer the account to the new phone, I guess if I was in thailand I might get the SMS's but meanwhile I'm stuck with the PC only version. hopefully I don't lose that also somehow?

just curious, can you give an example about how 6 month validity can be turned into 9 months? say I am flying to Thailand April 1, and I apply online for a METV on March 1, maybe I receive the Visa by March 15, it is then valid till Sept 15, I do the 60 days and 30 day extension ; leave to Lao, and return the next day , do another 60+30 which would put my near the Sept 15 cut off, does exiting and return via Lao Land crossing going to get me another 60 days beyond the Sept 15 "visa validity" ? and can one do a 30 day extension on that last "days stamped in" past the validity? 2) there is a little warning when applying for METV that says one "must have a legitimate reason for a long-stay" ; and if it fails, one forfiets the METV fee for a single-entry, any comments?

hello, in the past I've had both 1 year O-A and tourist visa with 30d extensions @ CW. Without leaving the country, and without knowing if an O-A would be used for more than 1 trip, what are the choices for > 90 day visit? and/or how difficult and expensive would be what is required for an O-A health insurance, if am only in the country for 4/12 months? thank you.
