What do you do with all your free time these days?
marin replied to KhunLA's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Quit moaning open your closed mind and spend a little money. Google up Ban Chang a seaside town. Its just down the road from Pattaya in Rayong province , a bus would be less than 60 baht takes like one hour ten minutes. Lots of guest houses and smaller hotels. Much lower key than Pattaya. Check it out for a night. To refresh my memory I just googled nightlife area of Ban Chang, decent beach with seafood shacks right there as well. 2 to 3 thousand baht for a two day one night adventure. Off you go now. -
As the title says this morning some major shutdowns of buildings here in Bangkok occurred. Several buildings in Bangkok were evacuated late Monday morning amid reports of vibrations and cracks appearing in the buildings. The evacuations occurred about 10am. Affected premises included Building A of the Government Complex on Chaeng Watthana Rd, the Ministry of Labour in Din Daeng district and court buildings on Ratchadaphisek Road. People were also cleared from the headquarters of Government Housing Bank in Huai Khwang district, the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek and the Social Security Office in Din Daeng. What triggers 90 day report?
marin replied to Chalky0w's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well you will be very happy oh disgruntled one. Next time you leave and come back the new digital arrival card will tell you that. -
Did you do any research at all before your decision to move here? You also said your whole family is coming. What will you do about school for your children? Do they speak read and write Thai? Common knowledge about the inability to work in many jobs reserved for Thai's. I knew this when I moved over 36 years ago.

Never thought of that at all. The Malaysia was build for officer on R&R, it had a pool, The Privacy was for the enlisted men, simple and no pool. For years the Privacy is where upcoming boxers in Muay Thai would stay for their fights at the old Lumpini

BREAKING NEWS Skyscraper comes down in Bangkok earthquake
marin replied to MalcolmB's topic in Bangkok News
It was so poorly built it literally imploded and came down on itself. Pure panic right now throughout Bangkok. Getting close to grid lock as parents rush to pick up children from schools, get home, and for some just flee. -
The Privacy otherwise known as the Thungmahamek Hotel Stayed there many a time from 76- about 85. Managed by Banpot Tankel one of the nicest Thai's I have met. Would mail him a letter and have a room waiting each and every time. Loads of people waiting in the lobby everyday for people to check out so new ones could check in. Never liked the Malaysia as it had polyester sheets back then and they were hot, Privacy cheaper and better IMHO. Nice little coffee shop in the back as well.

Every post Don, each and every post. You enjoy creating your fictional characters in order to have something in your life. I think you should really research another hobby other than trolling this forum as you have the last year plus. -

bob/Don, I am sorry for calling you bi polar. It is now quite clear what is going on with you and why you are on meds. Good luck. Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a mental health condition where you have two or more separate personalities that control your behavior at different times. When personalities switch, you'll have gaps in your memory. -

I did. I told her that her attitude was disgusting. Probably the two posters who are the most "unknowing" of Thailand and its ways having an intense discussion.🤣 For sure she understood your comment and took it to heart. 🤣🤣 -

Then something is wrong with them. Even here in Don Muang Bangkok when the air is poor 75+ my two Xiaomi show a reading of about 50 or so inside, which reduces to below 10 in half an hours time.
