    That's the key, I have no debts and no rent as I own both my properties. I just spent 4 months in Thailand eating out for every meal and I struggled to spend 60,000 baht a month (US$20k per year)

    You're dreaming if you think a US$80k annual pension is just getting by in the rest of the world. I'm self funded retired with a property in Aus and Thailand splitting my time and I'm living well spending less than US$30k per year

    The best thing Thailand did was move the airport outside Bangkok so we didn't have to go there anymore to get to Pattaya.... Now that's it's #1 city in Southeast Asia I might have to re-think ????

    Funny how this economic site has a forecast of 10 million by the end of this quarter....are TAT with 9.3 million for the whole year being conservative ????

    If my math is right, that's about 136,000 baht per person So a couple with 2 young children would be expected to spend 544,000 baht for their holiday (not counting foreign airfares) Sounds about right ????

    I found having the McDonald's App was very good to save a few baht. Not promoting to use McD a lot but if you do go I found they often had 2 for 1 or up to 50% off (only available from the App)

    Suggest cancelling Netflix? Mine costs me only 99 baht per month, what entertainment is cheaper than that. You'd have to be pretty hard up that 99 baht was going to break you considering the value it gives (maybe give up 2 large Leo per month instead)

    OP is taking his 14 year old daughter, why would she know it's fake ???? Actually I found it by accident riding my rental bike, thought it wasn't bad for something different and all of my nephews and nieces loved the photos, so not a bad day out

    Why do you care so much, the Chinese tour groups staying in Chinese owned hotels added nothing to Pattaya. And again, China blocks its citizens from leaving so not a Pattaya issue

    Grand Avenue and Centara condos in Pattaya soi 15 are two examples. Both condos were shut down until a kind Thai bought the developments with a promise that all owners would get their Condo's and they did. All legal actions granted

    Did you not get the memo, Russia did an unprovoked attack on Ukraine so is hated by most of the World, while China locks up cities of 10 million for a few covid cases and bans their citizens from leaving China Not relevant to Thailand, they aren't going to anywhere A Pattaya without Russians and the Chinese flag groups is a much better place...like it was back in 2007ish

    This is ridiculous now, full page ads when you click on every forum topic....what a joke, you get paid because you force our phone to go there, even though we hate it and don't read it...ad investors are definitely ripped off because they think we actually clicked on their ad
