Because in his mind he is a bar guru that would make all bar owners billionaires if they were only as smart as him oh, and now he's so proud he can pick up a hooker on Line app and save 800 baht bar fine and thinks that makes him 'young and Tech savvy' He probably also believes them when they call him handsum sexy man lol

After 4 months wearing a mask outdoors in Pattaya, I won't be back until the mask mandate is dropped. I started off with a fresh mask everyday, by the end I just had 4 well used masks on the table so picked any to wear. Ridiculous rule to wear a mask outside when you may be 50 metres away from the nearest person

Imagine a World where it's free to come to Thailand without an onward ticket or 20,000 baht cash in your pocket Oh wait it is, only some posters tell you it's mandatory and you'll be flown home without lol Said posters should be forced to post their arrival pic where they do their best to look like a homeless bum

Frustrated with Pattaya beach deckchair businesses!

Just goes to show how deluded you are thinking the whole world revolves around you. Just buy the chair for the day, have a coconut drink and leave whenever you like without thinking you are smarter than everyone else by making a different deal -

How quick are you to label the vendor rude and pushy. You weren't there so why so quick to take Falang side. Normal is to buy a chair and order drink or food. He did something different and wasn't happy with his supposed deal which he said was in Thai. Maybe his Thai is bad which explains the confusion? -
14 years coming to Thailand 3-5 times a year and never asked for 20,000 cash. I'm pretty sure immigration think I'm not a risk so they don't ask Seriously though, do you honestly think that if they try to deny entry for not having 20,000 baht cash, a Thai bank app showing 200,000 baht in the bank would not satisfy them. Of course it would

That's what everyone's been saying, you made up some strange deal with them for 100 baht instead of just paying for the deckchair for full day and ordering the coconut -

What a load of made up <deleted>. I have used these chairs often and left for swim or toilet many times. You rent the chair for the entire day for 50 baht, every normal person understands that -

Here's a tip, pay for the deck chair which is normally 50 baht for the entire day. Then order your coconut for 40 baht and take as long as you like to drink it. Saves you 10 baht and no self imposed stress caused by making your own deal that only you understand -
Well border runs have often been iffy and more to do with living in Thailand for years without having a proper visa, so 20,000 baht could be used to prevent entry. To me that's all this is, a reason to refuse entry to the people that are not real tourists (and likely looking like a homeless person with thongs and 20 year old singlet) The OP is a tourist so should be fine like all the rest of us that have never been asked to show cash

Says who, have you ever been denied showing a bank app or bank statement? The immigration law says "must possess adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person" Having a Thai bank account with more than 20,000 baht in it is possessing the equivalent of 20,000 baht cash. I'd like to hear from one person that has been denied entry when showing a Thai bank account of 20,000 baht + There won't be any

So now you're saying you rented the chair. What a load of <deleted> as if you had rented the chair it would be for the entire day and they wouldn't have woken you up and asked you to leave after 45 minutes asleep -

So you broke the deal of being able to sit and drink your coconut as you stayed after finishing it, and then got <deleted> at them for waking you up after 45 minutes sleeping...maybe you would have stayed for 2 hours sleeping if they didn't wake you up... I would have kicked you out as soon as you dozed off as you were freeloading -
