  1. I normally do the 30 day extensions 2 weeks out but one time I actually did it just after arrival at the same time I filed my TM30. Was approved no problem so not sure if lucky or this is fine to do so (saved me a trip to immigration)
  2. I agree, went to Queen Vic on Thursday, loads of girls in the bars
  3. Sounds like when I was in Saudi. I was shopping in a mall when a local rammed into the back of my parked car. I turned up about 30 minutes later and then spent 6 hours in the police station with threats of being jailed until finally the local admitted it was his fault and they let me go lol
  4. Thanks for that. I had a look and it's on at 3, 6 and 9pm
  5. Poor planning by the OP asking about the fight at 4am, just before it started lol I couldn't find anywhere to watch because nothing is open at 4am anymore
  6. Habit, just like a few in this thread who have 50/60/70 years of free bags now demanding that they should still be free, even suggesting the store manager (employee) should pay for them so they can stay free lol I actually ditched the straw and took off the lids it tasted so bad, so yes you're right, no need for straw
  7. Umm, the idea is that if you charge for plastic bags people will stop using them so less plastic laying around....not really that hard to understand is it? What's worse is places like McDonald's in Aus have banned plastic straws and they give you a cardboard straw. Now I can't drink the coke as unsurprisingly it tastes like cardboard (saw a McDonald's in Pattaya with big sign saying "thank you for not using plastic straw", so it's coming)
  8. You're the one not getting the point. Charging for plastic carry bags is the new normal all over the World (they're 8-12 baht in Australia). So some stores charging 1-4 baht for plastic bags ahould be accepted as a worldwide normal. Don't want to pay 4 baht for a bag, then bring your own, or shop around until you find a bag price your happy with.
  9. Because the store charges 4 baht for bags. If you don't like it, don't use the store but then don't also come on social media and cry about it like a child
  10. I'm still amazed at the OP arrogance. Why didn't he ask for a free corkscrew to go with his wine...same thing, demanding a saleable item for free and having a hissy fit when he didn't get it Oh yeah, as he then went to his 2nd choice store to buy his drinks, I wonder if the price difference was more than the 4 baht so a complete waste of time
  11. Yeah, but it says you have a waiting period of 14 days, so nearly half your insured 30 days are not covered.... Or you need a PCR test within 72 hours to activate it, just when Thailand has finally abolished all testing
  12. OP spends 9000 baht on purchase, but won't pay 4 baht for a bag.. that's like 13 cents.... Meanwhile, I love how 7/11 cashiers always scan and charge the 2 baht per bag, only for it to dissappear at the end..maybe becomes free after 100 baht purchase?
  13. Load of rubbish. Fully vaccinated to enter a country is 2 doses of approved vaccine (or one dose of J&J). Your 4 month booster rule is made up. I had my 2nd dose of Pfizer in June 2021 and am fine to travel as fully vaccinated traveller
  14. I found a good one just past Action street on soi bukhao. It's 40 baht for 9kg machine, 60 baht for 14kg, 40 baht for dryer. They have coin change machine. Machines seem like industrial grade all joined together (about 8 washers and 6 dryers)
  15. This is excellent news, finally people can come without the risk of a false positive locking people away for 10 days. Except for still requiring the stupid mandatory Covid insurance. They need to just let people get whatever travel insurance they want without mandating it must mention covid.
  16. Chinese Preliminary report is out https://yenei.variflight.com/club/item/?id=3xcsz6lzz6xKddd256026b Using Google translate, only thing of interest seems the right wing tip Winglet was found 12km from the crash site ( so rest of plane intact at impact). 17. Well my executor has a key to my condo and hopefully finds out about my demise before the Thai police can get to my condo ????
  18. Magna Carta Law, 5000 baht for 3 copies in Thai and English. They keep one of the copies in their fireproof safe.
  19. Should be getting rid of Thai Pass, not tweaking it. Still means you have to change flight and pre-paid hotel, airport pick up, PCR test and insurance so a lot of hassle
  20. What a joke, Richard Barrow is the standard to confirm anything nowdays...he quotes whatever organisation gives him the best freebies to promote
  21. People getting the 60 day covid extensions, they make you take 4 trips to complete the process lol
  22. China Eastern B737-800's back flying again so I assume the FDR showed no technical issues? https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/china-eastern-resumes-boeing-flights-crash-2630381
  23. One of the first things I read on here was never go to immigration the day after a public holiday, and we've just had 3 of them. I would go Tuesday or later if you have days left (you could have applied weeks before your 30 day exempt expires)
  24. If police entered his condo and took away assets then this is really disgusting. Shows the depth of Thai police corruption
  25. I was put off water deliveries with all of the fake/bad water stories on here. My condo Manager arranges the delivery to the whole condo block every Tuesday for 50 baht per bottle. Really happy to start taking them again now as they are River Fresh deliveries ????
