  1. Pattaya can relax. Soi 15 is taking the hit with the soi completely dug up for the last 4 weeks installing these huge water pipes to drain before 2nd road Now that it's raining today, this is now of course a huge mud pile
  2. Very interested in this too. I just got a new bank book so wondering if I just need to copy that one page as it will have the 800k in it (hate to think I'd have to fully copy a closed bank book)
  3. My passport has 4 visa exempt stamps and their associated exit stamp all on one page
  4. Everyone has a right not to be filmed when in public. I was in a sports bar yesterday and one guy stood up and walked around the entire bar filming everybody. Many people were <deleted> off with him, he didn't seem to notice. Some people just have no awareness of what pisses people off, like this vlogger
  5. Well this is in the Pattaya forum ???? Still little rain in Central Pattaya, supposed to be raining all day according to weather forecast, maybe 5 minutes of light rain at 10am...
  6. I think December and January qualify above February as "driest month of the year" in Pattaya. Bring on the March heavier rain ????
  7. Hardly raining every day, I've been here a month and it's rained about 4 days...typical Jan-Feb for me (wish it rained more to cool the place down)
  8. Requiring proof of income sounds like this guy who thought he was filling out a Thailand Pass but actually filled out and received a Thai e-visa instead ????
  9. I was trying to be a little more subtle to see if true, but that's me out if so. Why could anyone charge GoGo prices without Gogo action lol
  10. I hope they do come, I'm happy to buy them a few beers for their service If you go to 5 Star bar on beach road you'll see many old photos and letters of gratitude from high ranking military for how they were accepted and treated in these bars....the good old days
  11. @BigStar, nice report but no mention if beers are actually 160 baht like reported? RIP to the bar regular, 54 is way too young ????
  12. Personally, I think this thailand smoke screen is a complete joke (1) no bars allowed, but feel free to pretend to serve food and call yourself an SHA restuarant (2) must wear a mask at all times, but feel free to wear one under your nose, under your chin or not at all (3) no GoGo's but feel free to open as a restuarant like the bars (4) ATK mandatory for entry, but temp check will do Why bother pretending any of it is enforced and just open up the country already
  13. You've started a thread for every aspect of your visit ( at least 10 threads now), I really don't think you should travel if you are so paranoid and pedantic about every aspect of your trip Why not add it to your current thread where you stuffed up and booked a 31 day ticket, rather than make another thread to make it sound like you should say a date to cover 31 days just in case? Thai pass is simple, state your name, flight number, date of arrival and then upload passport page, vaccination certificate, hotel booking and insurance. Takes less then 5 minutes and you're done
  14. I've been here a month and never had to show an ATK Soi Bukhao, LK Metro and Tree Town bars are absolutely ram packed tonight, great to see ????
  15. Well it's not 29 days, it's 30 as by your statement I would have had up to 13 Feb
  16. I arrived 14 Jan, immigration stamp is 12 Feb, so 30 days. Using your calendar that would say 29 days right?
  17. Did no-one go to give an update? I admit I was put off when someone posted it was 160 baht beers, but probably should check myself
  18. That is 31 days (day of arrival and departure are counted as full days)
  19. Scaled-down’ Cobra Gold exercises to be held from February 22 to March 4 Article says less than 2000 people so not a big deal really https://www.thaipbsworld.com/scaled-down-cobra-gold-exercises-to-be-held-from-february-22-to-march-4/
  20. I met a guy yesterday who said he tested positive on arrival PCR on January 7 and was sent to hospital for 10 days costing 100,000 baht. He had AXA insurance and he said they paid the lot directly to the hospital. So stupid when he had no symptoms and they never did a 2nd test, just let him free on day 10
  21. No, I have flown Etihad, Qatar, Singapore, Thai Airways all one way....maybe you look suspect on cheaper airlines like Jetstar why you seem to think it's mandated????
  22. And here I am on a visa exempt with a one way ticket, just extended for another 30 days I used to add a false date to my TM6 to pretend that I was flying out, this time I left it blank. Still arrived ok and got the extension ok with a blank TM6 ????
  23. Another ridiculous thread with people saying you must buy a throw away ticket to justify what they think is real Traveled to Thailand at least 50 times in last 10 years, never been asked to show onward ticket, just like no-one has been asked to show proof of 20,000 baht funds. Waste your money if you like with a throw away ticket, but no need. Worst case scenario is buy a throw away if they insist, which they obviously don't unless you look like a homeless bum ????
  24. If it's 160 baht beers as posted above they can go dream...won't do that for the girl shuffle that's called dancing there
  25. @Letsengwhy not do a quick flight to Cambodia and come back on 30 day visa exempt and then get 90 day Non-imm O which has no time requirement for the 800k. That gives you 4 months or you get 5 months by extending the visa exempt 30 days before the non-imm O. As I understand Cambodia requires fully vaxed, PCR test within 72 hours of departure and rapid test on arrival. No quarantine https://www.mfaic.gov.kh/covid-19
