Voter id is a good idea. The way Trump wants to implement it is the problem. A substantial portion of the population has no passport and don't know where their birth certificates are. Married women cannot vote without going through an onerous procedure to prove they are who is on their birth certificate. Etc. etc. The SAVE act is voter suppression, pure and simple
