He went to gaol - for a few months and was then let out. (He was extradited because the CIA wanted him gaoled here in Thailand. The CIA were at my friend's funeral.)

I disagree. I enjoy reading 'feel-good' stories now and again. They are rare in news items all over the world. Maybe read the whole article. It shows human love at all levels. Money for the grandchild's education from poor people with very limited resources. We need more of this in this woke, entitled world.

I have sympathy for anyone dying of cancer. The end date is never certain. My son was given 6 months to live but survived for two years. The end result is still the same though.
