What they forgot to tell us about mouth cleaning.
Tropicalevo replied to ronjomtien's topic in Health and Medicine
I only learned about this trick recently. It is bloomin hard to stop the rinse that I have been doing for the previous 65 years! -
I believe that your comment is an exaggeration. If Thailand is not safe, then the rest of the world is in a more dangerous place. One can read of cases where women are raped or sexually assaulted every day in places like the UK. Why do you pick on Thailand as being not a safe place. My wife, when she was alive, always felt safe in Thailand for the 15 years that she lived here. In her home town of Birmingham, she was mugged on two different occasions and she was burgled whilst living in Sydney.

More COVID cases in Surat Thani?
Tropicalevo replied to phetphet's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
I do not know the answer to that question but tonight I heard that a friend of a friend has Covid. No sense of taste or smell and positive on a rapid test. No other symptoms. However, she will not go to a hospital or see a doctor as she is a single mum with a child. If she went to a hospital or even a hospitel, then they would probably be separated. The child is negative - for now. She is self isolating but...... Be careful people. The field hospital (or hospitel) that I know of, is down in Lamai. -

A very good swerve. Well done. -
It is confusing but according to AZ themselves, and not the lying health minister, AZ are manufacturing about 10 mil. doses a month. The Thai health ministry originally ordered 3 mil per month but AZ are delivering 5 - 6 mil a month. The remainder are for export to other countries that have contracts.

Tourism Minister, national police chief call for greater tourist safety
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Personally I believe that violence against foreigners is very low. I have lived here for more than 20 years and have never been threatened. (I was threatened a few times when I lived in the UK.) When my wife was alive, she always felt safe moving around on her own in Thailand. When I asked her 'where in the world would you like to live next?' Thailand was her first choice. Sadly though, there are nutters in every country. Very sad for the Swiss lady. RIP. -
Why worry? Be happy! ???? It will all change on Monday (or whenever). A friend who owns a bar in Maenam, has just messaged me to say that he is coming to my place for a beer tonight ???? so I guess that he is closed!

Well, the government is definitely making it difficult for the few tourists that are here in Thailand. Some guests wanting to come to Samui from Phuket after completing the Phuket Sandbox. The only option at the moment is a minivan relay service. (New Olympic sport?) Van 1 from hotel to check-point Charlie at Phuket. Van 2 from Phuket to Donsak. Foot passenger on the ferry. Van 3 from Nathon to the villa.
