The only reason that the CCP are giving the doses away is because they know that they are not very good.

Did you not get caught in the smaller flood by the Hyatt? Mind you, I was on an airport run in the afternoon. Maybe deeper then.
-
The water this afternoon in Choengmon was deep enough for a long tailed boat. Never mind a kayak. I managed to get through in the little Mitsubishi Mirage. Thank goodness for the manual gearbox. Mind you, there was a fair bit of floodwater inside the car after I got through. A couple of bigger cars were stuck in the flood. Another flood outside of the new Hyatt.

Usual ones by the coast where the water cannot run off at high tide. Choengmon is always a good one. (As is Bangrak.) In the past, I have seen people kayaking down the street at Choengmon. The flood usually recedes as the sea level goes down. Were the roads ok at Bophut traffic lights? (Towards Maenam.) My accountant could not get to Plai Laem from Lamai on her motorbike at about 08.30. I told her to stay home today and tomorrow. The road at Big C is always a problem. It is in a small valley between hills. Nowhere really for the water to go.

Labour Ministry to propose new worker import scheme
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Here is an easier solution and at a lower cost. Every time that you catch 'illegal' immigrants entering the country, test them for Covid. Take them to a holding centre. Register them with immigration and the labour office and then let them carry on to designated employers. -

But how many full doses? -
Me too. I like a bit of ice in my beer.

Influx of illegal immigrants to Thailand prompts COVID concerns
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
From the reports that then government is letting the press release, there have been zero migrants/refugees reported to have had Covid. Not sure where the problem is. -
No, but you do nothing. The places where you stay once you leave your 'home' province should register you via the TM 30 at the local immigration office. eg hotel or villa. They will need to see your passport. However, you do not have to 'report in' when you return to your normal address. Staying on your local province is TM30 free.

Tourists trickle into Thailand as borders reopen
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
We have checked in 5 different groups of mainland Chinese in the last week. 8-10 people in a group and they all have a similar itinerary. Chiang Mai - Koh Samui - Bangkok. I do not know their original entry point but I would guess Bangkok. They have omitted 'snowbirds' and holiday-property owners. Again, six groups of friends are arriving in November/December. Most stay for one to four months and would come every year. -
I too have had a PP account for many years. It is connected to my Thai bank account. I have received no details of any any changes to my main account. I do have a second PP account under a different name but I do not use it. The only updates that I receive on that account are from scammers. Apparently my account has been closed nine times last month. All I have to do to open it again is to click on a 'button'!

Aged 49 and had spent the majority of the last 15 years of my working life in hotels and on planes. Rarely saw the wife so I decided to give up work. Said to the wife 'where do you want to live - anywhere in the world?' I had taken her to more than 40 countries and we had lived in seven of them (for business reasons) including Thailand. Thailand was the reply. Wife was from Brum in the UK. No regrets in that decision.

Correct but usually, it is only an issue if the police need a cup of tea.
