  1. Are they going to try and arrest the elephant?
  2. Likely to be true. They probably left the engine running (as is normal here) and just relied on the handbrake.
  3. When she died. I was supposed to die first (I was 10 years older with chronic diseases.) I had to go to court to get everything transferred back into my name. 30 great years ended too soon.
  4. Assume makes and ASS out of U and ME. Not a Thai bash - a concern over too many graduates getting into the system in a shortish time. I would say the same about any country doing this. Yes, I understand how newby's get experience, but there is still a risk if lots are in the spare seat at once. Quoting 1,200 available graduates is a distraction to the fact that experienced pilots are needed now.
  5. I had an enlarged prostate for about 10 years. I asked about Rezum (and others) but was told 'not available in Thailand back then. The bathroom visits eventually became hourly. Medications did not work, having spent 100,000's of baht over those 10 years on many different types as well as MRI's and even a biopsy once. Went to a urologist in Phuket last year and he began to tell me about this wonderful 'new' Rezum treatment. (I was already there for eye surgery.) I said 'book it Danno'. He looked into it, then apologised and said that he could not. My prostate was far too large. After another failed try of medicine and still no real sleep I said sod it. Take it out. (End of 2023.) I was not worried about most side affects as my wife died about 7 years ago. Had the operation - successful, which surprised the surgeon. Biggest prostate he had removed. One major problem though was they stuffed up the catheter insertion or removal - caused damage to the end of my urethra at the tip of the penis. Almost completely blocked/scarred. I could not urinate. Penis would swell up with urine and it just dribbled out. Multiple visits for a 'rebore' and in the end, the doc said, here are some catheters, save money and do it yourself. After about three months after the TURP, all good. Sleep has improved slightly. Now 2-3 hours between bathroom visits. I suspect some permanent damage after so many years of the enlarged prostate. I never sleep more than 6 hours anyway. Bladder control is OK but I would not impress anyone in the 'pizzing up the wall' contest. Some very attractive nurses 'attended' to me during my hospital stay and the rebores, but no reaction from the John Thomas.
  6. So let's put all of our trust with our lives and a multi million dollar piece of equipment in a newby. What could possibly go wrong.
  7. Looks like Bilal is home and dry then. The RTP had no luck looking for 'Boss' and that murder was a far worse crime.
  8. Really? So tourists have to declare their intentions? It's not as if these guys were working. What about rising jet skis, banana boats and so on. The list is endless.
  9. Very sad. And that memory will stay with the little lad all of his life. Stay strong young 'un.
  10. It has changed - LOTS. Stay away from the tourist areas (Chaweng, Lamai, Fisherman's etc) and it is still a beautiful island.
  11. Apart from the AI hyper gloop, a nice story.
  12. Brilliant. You could not make this up.
  13. 15% VAT is more than a 100% increase. That will kill my business. Customers are still struggling post Covid and most are not large enough to be VAT registered.
  14. So the scaremongers who that said foreign home owners will be sorry, were wrong. As mentioned in the original articles, the authorities are after nominee businesses operating illegally.
  15. That is not just a murder. That is the result of a frenzied attack. Very sad.
  16. Looking at the guy's shoes in the first photo makes me wonder how often footwear comes into play in some of these accidents. Maybe not as a main cause, but in a panic, those things could come off his feet. In the UK, he would be fined for wearing unsafe footwear. Flip flops would also get you a fine there.
  17. And when the six months are over?
  18. Where you live will make a difference to the price. I have never bought an NMax but I have bought a few of the smaller PCX's. An 8 - 10 year old one goes for about 50,000 baht. Then again, cars and bikes on the island are more expensive than on the mainland. I have also bought a few, old Honda clicks etc. 12,500 with no book! God knows how old they are but they are still running. If it looks great and runs lovely, why sell? Yes - a few quirks but.......
  19. Common practice everywhere. Back when Noah was a lad, I worked in a petrol station in the UK. Same same.
  20. Not 'always happened'. We had a 'sniffer dog' (German Shepherd) for some years here at Samui Airport. He was a friendly little chap. Sadly, age has taken its toll.
  21. And we are supposed to believe everything that an illegal junta says?
