His latest tweet seems to confirm his intentions to take action: "No negotiation possible, no compromise, no ointment to pass, and certainly no return. There is no peace in the war." A source close to the investigation told the "Journal du Dimanche" that it is an excerpt from a speech by Abu Mohammed Al-Adnani, a former spokesman for Daech, who died last summer.

Abdallah El-Hamahmy comes from a wealthy family. Retired General of the Egyptian police, his father is incredulous. In front of the camera of an Egyptian television, he affirms that his son had never shown the slightest sign of radicalization. According to him, his son had come "on business trip". His pregnant wife and seven-month-old son are reportedly in Saudi Arabia.

  2. Trump White House Leaks: Done On Purpose Or Lack Of Loyalty?

" Steve Inskeep talks to Jonah Goldberg, senior editor at the National Review, ... And so there's a lot of vengeful leaking against rivals. they see the Trump administration the same way sort of the local villagers would see when the - Napoleon's forces would come in and use the local church as a stable. And they are greatly offended by the incoming administration, and they relish the ability to leak and embarrass the administration."

Maybe Trump should care a little bit about the positive branding attributes that "America" has in abundance ... until now , linked to principles of individual freedom and power, far more likely to lead to world peace than statecraft based on territory, economic power, ideologies, politics or religion... unless he thinks it's now "Trump Land" ( gated community, tax haven for the wealthy, and  casino...).

The Der Spiegel cover was done to make a statement.  It did that and brought about controversy.  The whole issue which centers around immigration is a lot of talk about nothing.  It's a temporary ban until the government can figure out a way of verifying the bonafides of the persons entering the USA from 7 countries. It's become the cause célèbre for the left to claim Trump and his administration is racist or anti muslim.  Quite frankly I which the USA would stop all visas but tourist and business for six months until they figure out what the hell is going on relating to immigration/refugee policy.

This idea of a multiethnic world is a bunch of crap.  No one integrates anymore because the masses of immigrants are just to big to absorb. They settle in their own ghettos and stay there, never accepting the ways of the countries to which they immigrate.  I say slow it all down.  I don't live in the USA anymore as Los Angeles is filled with areas of Chinese, Koreans, Mexicans, et al.  We print election ballots in seven languages in addition to English meaning that in the time these people have lived in the USA and gone through the citizenship process they still can't or won't learn English.  I am all for accepting those immigrants that are here in the USA legally or illegally except the felons. But there needs to be a halt to the process until there is time to integrate those that are here into society rather than having a country with so many ethnic interest groups it can't function.  Just look at Paris, Belgium, Germany, Sweden with the masses of immigrants that have not, cannot, and will not intigrate.  It's all a mess that is not going away.  It's all thanks to the liberals with Kumbaya spirit and ideas of a utopian world while in reality native citizens are out of work, on welfare and other social programs.  Great going!

I refer to this part of your post : " This idea of a multiethnic world is a bunch of crap.  No one integrates anymore because the masses of immigrants are just to big to absorb. They settle in their own ghettos and stay there, never accepting the ways of the countries to which they immigrate.  I say slow it all down.  I don't live in the USA anymore as Los Angeles is filled with areas of Chinese, Koreans, Mexicans, et al.."

There is a trend, in western European countries, since around 2005, for young people to leave and settle in eastern Europe countries like Hungary - though the wagess there are 3 to 4 times lower .. they usually say they prefer to live in more ethnical homogeneous environment ,  among with people who share and practice the same faith - and feel they belong to the same cultural roots, this is a matter of Identity ;  white & christian . They say they would not return to their home countries ( except for a short period of time, to earn  more money quickly when needed). And it is true that Hungary's Orban as well as other easter europeans , Poles, Lettons, etc..  openly want to shut the door to muslim migration to Europe.. and are reluctant to receive refugees coming from  muslim countries. They refuse ethnic diversity.

I would think for many of our American contributors the SOL was their ancestors first sight of the US.

I presume everybody knows where this inscription is.

"Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

I had thought it represented some important core values of America.  Values which, to a considerable extent, have contributed to the development and worldwide acknowledgement of US "greatness".

    But not according to Trump.

    The cartoon seems most apposite.

Résultat de recherche d'images pour "statue of liberty trump"

Emma Lazarus (1849-1887). It is addressed to the millions of immigrants who landed at Ellis Island and for whom the statue of Liberty featured the hope of a better life:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

  6. "The judge opens up our country to potential terrorists and others that do not have our best interests at heart. Bad people are very happy," Trump tweeted ... (The level of geo-political analysis is impressive.)

    The problem lies in the unpreparedness of Trump's ( or rather Bannon's)  decisions that paves the way for an immense legal disorder;
Frankly, do you have to be  a super-intellectual to think before taking a ban "that it could" pose a problem for green cards, spouses, binationals? And settle the matter in advance?

( So did it gappen in 2015 when Obama  decreed a regularization of illegal immigrants: a federal judge suspended his decree and a court of appeal refused to restore it. The suspension is still pending a decision of the Supreme Court.
Why then what would be just justice applied to Obama would become a scandal applied to Trump?
The two judges concerned were appointed by G.W. Bush and confirmed unanimously by the Senate.)

  7. Eric Trump’s business trip to Uruguay cost taxpayers $97,830 in hotel bills

"By financing part of the trip, the US state de facto supports a commercial operation that will allow the US president and his family to get richer. For Richard Painter, a former White House lawyer with George W. Bush, the fact that Eric Trump appears with state security agents even has an economic and political interest in the Trump affairs: he sees " A subliminal message saying that if you do business with this company you will get closer to the Trump administration and be on good terms with the US And the presence of Secret Services exacerbates this message."

Putin managed a master stroke by supporting Trump at the White House and benefits from the amateurism of Trump which brings the USA into a very isolated international position especially since Trump attacked, as a priority,  US traditional historical allies : Europe, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Australia ...

Trump bans US access to Iran - OK - Iran responds by recalling that it exists and showing its muscles ..( while just at the same time North Korea resumes its nuclear  tests,  fightings intensifie in eastern Ukraine)

How many real attacks against the West has Shiite Iran been the instigator for décades?

    - Israelis will advance Hezbollah, Israel has been pushing for years to proxy war against Iran

How many attacks are Saudi Arabia and its Sunni Wahhabi henchmen the instigators?

    - Saudis are the hostages of the monster they created to access and maintain themselves in power,

Sunnis and Shiites hate each other, Iran and Arabia fight for egemony in the region,

Trump has constantly mooted his desire to "get along" with Putin ..Will Russia  let down its Iranian ally who fights ISIS in Syria and Irak ?

Millions of Muslims share these mixed feelings of pride and shame.....  In a sense, Islam as a civilization is a frustrated achiever.. A strategy to stymie ISIS recruitment must address the lack of opportunity for frustrated Muslim achievers — particularly Sunnis in Iraq and Syria — as well as the integration problems of Muslims in Europe. At the ideological level, the debate should be within Islam and not misconstrued as a clash of civilizations between Islam and the West. "

Trump is correct on both counts. However, maybe he could have pointed it out a little more gently.

But of course!  So-called President Trump should suspend the civil "justice" and temporarily establish military justice throughout the US territory and for all crimes. The time for an extensive anti-corruption investigation to be conducted on all civil judges.
We (the people)   must take the power that these judges have stolen and return it to its legitimate owner: the People, and its representant : so-called President Trump

Beginning of the confrontation between  SCOTUS and  POTUS. Let's see, who is really big

  13. Very presidential .. Trump thinks he has SCOTUS in his Pocket with such contempt for a federal judge.. Trump's tweet is a real awkwardness in a country that venerates the judicial institution.

Another poster (apologies I forget whom) made the best point regarding this issue of President Trump not having a majority.

The Super Bowl isn't won by yardage.....

President Trump was elected with OUR system and you can say things about a mandate until the cows come home, the point is he WON and the Republicans control the government.

As for the resistance - go for it I'm deaf to all your shouting, the fake tears, the media, the selfish minority set on vandalism, the lefties in Hollywood and the polls.......it's all old news.

Sorry this is too important to be compared to Super Bowl,

The legitimacy of Trump is questionnable :
    1. with only 23% of the popular vote Trump obtained the majority of the votes of the E.C  : Trump is the least popular President - that is a fact.

    2. It is established that Russia interfered in the electoral process ; during his campaign he had already spread rumors and lies. Since at the WH he continues to play with "alternative facts" - There are doubts about the sincerity of his policies.

    3. Trump is entangled in colossal and inextricable conflicts of interest (he runs a financial empire and a country). The risks of corruption are therefore major. Trump is the first US president not to practice financial and fiscal transparency

    4. Trump claimed to be the anti-Washington and anti-Wall Street candidate. He surrounded himself with guys who made all their careers in Washington or Wall Street... anti-establishment he said .. Trump is the pruner of the prudential system of banking regulation (It will also be necessary that Trump and its Cabinet refuse to support with public funds banks that will go bankrupt. At the next crisis, the pension funds will collapse, which will put on the straw millions of retired American in particular but not only). See you at the next financial crisis caused by the greed of Trump and his billionaire buddies. Condolences for his core defenders who have learned nothing from the previous financial crisis and who will be the victims of the next.

I'd rather think someone who would benefit from the situation, someone like a VP for instance, or Australia.... remember the meeting with Japan's Shinzo Abe ... Japanese press was the first to publish the photos with Ivanka and Jared....

( conflict of interest by the way)...not Trump.

Most Americans I speak with are completely fed up with the noise the left is making and are getting on with life, giving the office the respect it deserves.

The louder they become the more deaf the silent majority will become, it is apparent many on the left are suffering some sort of mental illness by attacking every single move our new President makes - perhaps it's the previous 8 years of failure that has them bent out of shape.

Unfortunately Trump did not win the popular vote, so as America is not North Korea, the majority of the people is right to speak out loud and resist against "alternative facts"

Also , when someone like Stephen Bannon, ex Breitbart - manipulâtes public opinion with fake news,  tells the  media to 'keep its mouth shut'. That's a threat, and we are far from 1st Amendment.

Active Resistance against WH propaganda is a  matter of mental health !
