  1. This one was long in the making. Had to re-watch the last two episodes of season3 to catch up . Yeah, there are some funny moments, like when Johnny does the Crane technique on Daniel....
  2. The "Cobra Kai" season 4 is out in the wild, all 10 episodes of it at once. So, if you as a teenager practiced "wax on, wax off" download and watch Daniel San do it properly.
  3. Bad move IMO. Just leave it as it is for another year or five. Not enough tourist coming to Thailand anyways. I was fortunate enough to see it pristine before the Hollywood and the Chinese hordes FOOBAR'ed it all...
  4. For those of you who still watch Disney+ releases, despite their despicable handling of Gina Carano, their latest, "The Book Of Boba Fett" is out. TBH, Boba is not one of my most favorite characters in the Star Wars universe, don't really understand why they make the series on him, but I'll watch it and see how it develops. However, Ming-Na Wen is also in it and she's one of my favorite action characters, so she might save the story a bit.
  5. I spent my share of years working in Saudi Arabia. Our working week then was Saturday to Wednesday. Later on they changed the working week to Sunday to Thursday, allegedly to gain one more banking day with the rest of the world. The first day of the week is the first day you start work. How can you call Sunday a WEEKEND when it's the first day of the week. Oxymoron.... Sunday as the first day of the week is based on religion rather than practicality. And, besides, Monday is defined as the first day of the week according to the ISO standard. The whole of Europe and vast majority of the world is using Monday. Sunday is used primarily in a few countries still locked in an archaic measurement system.
  6. Nice layout, but my biggest problem with this calendar is that the weeks starts on a Sunday. We all know that this happens only in one country, in the rest of the world the week starts on a Monday. That's why Saturday and Sunday are called WEEKEND. So, great job, but no thanks, I won't be wasting ink on this.
  7. So, "The Matrix" has just become a qudrilogy with the release of the latest installment in the franchise, now available from your usual sources. It is now written and directed by "Ms" Lana Wachowski, without collaboration with her "sister". Will watch it tomorrow.
  8. "The Hunt...." was quite entertaining for when it came out. Remember, it's 30 years ago. But Tom Clancy is a good writer, and anything adopted from his books bound to be entertaining. I am not a Submariner, so can't vouch for technical correctness.
  9. Well, you should have persisted, it got better.... The thing to remember is that Vigil was really a crime/police/espionage story that just happens to be partly played on a submarine. There were many things that I didn't like, most notably when PCI "what's her name" bursts into CIC during a launch drill screaming to stop it... If I was the captain of that boat, I would have locked her in her cabin for the rest of the trip. Security threat.... And, of course, all the sub crew walking around in their Sunday uniforms....
  10. I watched this but found it quite shallow and slow going. Spending too much time on a blocked toilet rather than telling the story of the individuals, the mission, and the boat itself. There are much better Sub documentaries on YouTube to watch. I understand that there is much secrecy in the missions those boats undertake, and not that much can be told publicly, but still, it could have been told better. "Vigil" was a very good drama IMO, even if for the sake of the series the creators took a lot of creative liberties. Still, the best Sub movie IMO is "Das Boot", which has also been made to 2 season TV series recently. Excellent drama, very good action, and correct historical content. Trailer link for Season 1 below. The TV series has good drama, good action and excellent production.
  11. For those who like Resident Evil franchise, the latest installment "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" has just made it to the P2P scene. Get it from your favorite source.... This seems to be the prequel to the series, so all our favorite Mila (aka Alice) will sadly not be in it, but there are other well known names.
  12. Just to be clear. You need to be specific as to why yours "is too small". You should also understand that graphic cards are not measured by the memory. How do you know that you need "4 or 8GB"? The measuring stock is the graphic processor. The latest cards from nVidia are the RTX3000 series. Absolutely the fastest to date. Unfortunately, due to scammers, scalpers, and <deleted> crypto miners, they are selling for 3-4 times their recommended resale price. I really wish that Ethereum crypto currency would turn to ether, and all the miners lose their investment overnight! Yes, really.... That, and the current shortage of computer chips makes the latest graphic cards very expensive for normal users and gamers, and a card that would sell for 200-300 dollars, sells now for 3 times that. The prices are very consistent, so if you compare InvadeIT and Jib or Banana IT, who all, BTW have mail order, they are all very much the same. Personally, I prefer to order from InvadeIT, because of the after sales support. If by chance they don't have the product you need, try Jib who are based in BKK and have shops in Fortune and probably Pantip too. In any case, don't expect to pay less than 20,000 baht for an nVidia RTX2060 (the smallest) with 6GB from any of the mentioned reputable IT outlets.
  13. The Witcher season 2 just hit the usual channels... All 8 episodes at once. Looks to me like binging time again.
  14. I agree. A bit of baby fat here and there just make girls more attractive to me too. But she's so bloody tall, 183cm!
  15. "Foundation". Sci-Fi series based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation "trilogy" has just recently finished season1. It has received some criticism of departing too far from the original story, but it's an improvement IMO. Asimov's writing can be a bit slow going at times.
  16. "Invasion", an Sci-Fi series just finished season 1. Not that great, IMO. The Japanese story line was the best. "The Wheel of Time" is halfway through the season 1. Quite good fantasy series. The original books span 12 titles, each over 600 pages, I'm told. How they're gonna translate that to a working story in a TV series is a mystery... Nevertheless, thus far it's enjoyable to watch.
  17. If you have nothing to hide, then just give me all your email passwords, and bank login details. You are not the one who decides if you have nothing to hide, the government does.... likewise for "illegal" activities.
  18. The more I use Win11 the less I like it. Why do they insist of moving things around, especially Settings in every new version? Things I really hate about Win11: Context menu handling. It worked fine before, why change it. Just let the user customize it. Start menu. Why change the start menu with every release. It worked fine on XP, Win7 and even Win10. Now it sucks golf balls through a garden hose.... Hint, have a look at KDE (Plasma) desktop for Linux if you don't know how to do it right. Constant nagging to use Edge when I want to install Chrome or FireFox. Inability do totally disable and remove Cortana and Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. I like security progs that I have full control over... Obstacles MS throws at you when you want to use non-MS application as default. Started in Win10 and now got worse in Win11. All this digital signing of drivers. If I tick that I accept a non-signed driver, that means forever. Don't disable it in your next update MS.... These are just a few, but there are many more... Hopefully they will listen to the users and improve the experience. Sometimes I really feel like the Windows developers are a bunch on 13 year old adolescent kids sitting it their grandma's basement, eating pizza, drinking Pepsi and writing code.... The only experience they have is their i-thing or Android.
  19. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. I'm very much a Samsung man when it comes to NVMe. They have proven their reliability and speed over the time I have been using them. Their PCI 4.0 980 Pro is quoting similar figures. Not cheap though, thinking of getting 1 TB for the boot drive and leave the current 970 Evo plus on the current rig when it gets relegated to other tasks, like running my penguin farm within ESXi...
  20. You can add TPM easy with VMware Workstation., but on the Player you'll have to edit the vmx file manually. More info here: https://www.ghacks.net/2021/11/02/how-to-enable-tpm-2-0-support-in-vmware-workstation-player/
  21. Well, I'm kinda salivating for the new Intel Alder Lake processors. Looks like there will be a new rig for me next year once the availability of i9 and Socket 1700 MoBo's is stabilized. The word is that Intel has worked together with Microsoft, and Win11 will run much faster and more efficient on the Alder Lake due to changes in Scheduler to take advantage of the different cores. Seems I will have no choice there. To that effect I'm running Windows 11 in VMware on my main rig and ThinkPad. VMware 16.2 will allow you to create a virtual TPM. I installed a Windows 10 that got registered and upgraded to Windows 11 that now is registered too. It runs quite fast, but there are "features" of Win11 that I definitely dislike, context menu being one of them. I prefer VMware as I have used it for years, and have a free key for Workstation Pro from my previous employer, but VMware Player is free to use and much more sophisticated than Hyper-V. I also run the free version of VMware ESXi hypervisor on another rig, but this one doesn't support Win11 and runs only couple of Linux instances.
  22. That is a lot of bullocks. Wife has been waiting for several weeks now for an appointment. What you are saying is that it is available for everybody in BKK maybe. We are down South, we don't count....
  23. Culture? What culture? The Culture of brown envelopes and saving face? That is more important than freedom?.... He must be ethnic Chinese, they invented that.
