  1. I'm not a farang. My name is John. It's an incorrect statement as he is a farang. 555
  2. Said the poster complaining about discrimination.
  3. The problem with making things up is you need to remember what you've already said. You've contradicted yourself more than once. Stick to the truth, you won't make so many mistakes.
  4. You clearly haven't been everywhere in Isaan. Stick to under bridges.
  5. สวย - beautiful ซวย - bad luck. ส่วย - the mis pronounced word meaning กูย
  6. Different pronunciation. The conversation is regarding a dialect.
  7. Suay is an incorrect pronunciation of Gui. Probably a pronunciation lost over time. It's the language spoken by the original elephant herders. Some historians have suggested it's the oldest language in the area and the Gui people predate the Northern Khmers. The correct word for "Suay" is actually "Gui".
  8. There's nothing better than using a bowl with cold water to shower after a hot day. Instant refreshment. In winter, the first bowl is a bit chilly but then no problem. Great.
  9. The UK does not hand out passports like Christmas cards either. The route to a passport for workers is long, requires a lot of paperwork and is expensive. Many people stop at the ILR stage.
  10. Not quite. In Sissaket, also Buriram and Surin, there is central Thai plus three dialects. They are Isaan Laos, Khmer and Gui. Isaan Laos is similar to Central Thai. Khmer and Gui are very different. There is not a language that is a "a combination of all three".
  11. If talking to yourself, why not as you've quoted yourself, you could be right. However, you've also been in conversation with others and have fallen behind. Never mind. It's all good practice for you. Now, about the apology you owe me.
  12. Indeed it did. You said there were 100% e gates. That was it. No mention of who for, until asked. You can't even keep up with yourself. 555
  13. Here's the discussion. You even took the trouble to quote yourself. 555 "When was the last time that you went through Heathrow ? UK passports go through one gate and foreign passports go on the other side of the building through a different gate"
  14. If it was 100% e-gates, where did the non UK passport holders go?
  15. Incorrect. You quoted me. That's directed at me. I
  16. In March, when we went through, there were equal numbers of manned desks and e-gates. You haven't apologized for your false accusations, yet.
  17. We went through Heathrow in March. My wife and I went through together. We were told by the officer "mixed passports in this channel, please", which was basically a channel for non UK passports. I also quoted Kinnock's, echoing your sentiments. This is an open forum. Anyone can quote and comment. My comment and posted facts helped to clear up an erroneous comment made by yourself. Read and comprehend before engaging keyboard.
  18. I didn't answer for him. Had i been, i would have quoted your comment. I didn't. I echoed your sentiments. Have a look, I even started with a reference to your comment. Now, that apology? Or are you going to show where I've complained about Asians in UK?
  19. Please show a post where I've said anything like that. A link or screenshot. Or, an apology.
  20. No. I have never complained about Asisns in UK. I didn't even mention who checked our passports, they weren't stamped. Stop making false accusations.
  21. We went through Heathrow in March. My wife and I went through together. We were told by the officer "mixed passports in this channel, please", which was basically a channel for non UK passports. The channels next to us were the e-gates where UK passports holders went.
  22. As previously explained, they likely didn't come to UK to work but we're born here. They are British of Pakistani decent, if indeed their heritage is Pakistani. As working tax payers, they are supporting the economy.
