  1. I didn't reference who they were or whether they were intentionally targeted, mistakenly or deliberately. I said, " the headline makes people dying in war zones seem a shock". How many Isreali and Palestinian civilians have been "intentionally" targeted, and killed?
  2. What I believe? Not at all. I said it's not a shock when people get killed in war zones. Not a belief. A fact. If he's laughing at yhat, it is he who is the fool.
  3. To say "LOL" in reply to a post about dying in war zones would suggest otherwise.
  4. Both were committing contempt of court. Plain and simple
  5. It is totally relevant. You condemn one but condone the other.
  6. If one person is arrested for a crime because of what people think of them, then another is not arrested because of their previous career, that would be discrimination. Discrimination is a terrible thing. Which ever way you look at it.
  7. Jurors don't get told the law in court? How strange. I wonder how the u derstand the charge and come to a decision.
  8. Excellent. Glad you've cleared up the reason both were arrested. It's called "contempt of court".
  9. I would have thought protesters aims are the complete opposite.
  10. I believe jurors are informed by the judge, at the beginning of the trial, to only take into account what happens inside the court.
  11. That's an interesting comment. No, not really. I'm joking. I guess you were joking too, when you suggested someone's knowledge and preference for cheese is in some way connected to a vote. I know people that don't like cheese. Not sure how they voted in the referendum though.
  12. There are Camemvert producers in UK. UK imports of avocados from Peru are increasing rapidly.
  13. I didn't say it was an accident. I'm not putting up smoke screens. Innocent people die in wars. It's not a shock. Isn't there zero justification for all the deaths in this conflict?
  14. Regardless of who did what, who started it, who retaliated, who didn't look before firing, etc....the aid workers entered a war zone. People die in war zones. The headline make people dying in war zones out to be a shock. It's not.
  15. Corruption only works if people are prepared to pay it. Our daughter asked to not to attend the top school in our district as she new about the fees required The issue with paying the fee is your child might not be in the class you want. An extra fee is often required to be in "King's" class or "Queen's" class. This results in not so clever kids being in the top classes dragging the clever kids down. Our daughter's primary school often had "borigan" on the receipts for payments. I paid the food bill, the books and computer class. I said I'd pay "borigan" when I could see receipts for the work that it was going to pay for. Things like new playground, plants and trees. They never got back to me.
  16. Should create a nice bit of over time. At least those coppers that have overstretched themselves financially can earn a bit extra and save themselves from, allegedly, missing meals and using food banks.
  17. That's because in Thailand most of the books double up as exercise books.
  18. Maybe not persecuted but plenty of people making assumptions about her reasons for speaking her mind.
